Great course! Despite the hot, dry summer, conditions were very good at Highfields. Greens were recently aerated and slow but were not bumpy and were true. Fairways immaculate. Beautiful clubhouse. Some elevation changes and a mix of holes. Only downside was a poor pairing with an older couple who did not want us to play through.

Ordered the Mac and Cheese, get it pesto style and add steak tips and bacon... Did I say Bacon, yes! its sooooo good!

I love this course!! The people are friendly and they seem to be taking all the health precautions. If you are a senior golfer or a veteran you get a pretty good discount. Check it out!!!

Great layout and top conditions. Would give it 5 stars except for the greenside bunkers not having enough sand. If I stayed out of the bunkers it would have been a 5.Ill be back.

I’m giving it a 5 but would call it 4.5 because the avg feelss little low. anyway, pretty good! nice layout, a little residential, but plenty of room. plays a lot of different clubs. good condition. worth most of the $70 it costs on weekends.

Highfields is a fantastic golf course for any level of player. The staff is wonderful to work with when your golfing and after golf the food is exceptional!

Great track, I cant believe I had never heard of it before...Will be playing my weekday rounds here moving forward.One thing that I will say is consistent with the 1 star reviews is that whoever the RANGER was yesterday night was not only very rude, but unprofessional. He tried stacking all the twilight tee times on the back 9...and didnt believe my group when we said they put us off the front 9. He told us to go to the back 9 (which was absurdly backed up) - luckily we ignored this advice and played the front. I would have asked for my money back had he come back and told us to do it again. Anyway he said there was a lesson on the front - we didnt see another group out there the entire time until a twosome came up on us on the 9th hole.So yes, the Ranger is rude and unprofessional. Tighten it up, dude.

We chose Highfields for our Oct 2, 2020 wedding, but we unfortunately made the difficult decision yesterday to move it to a smaller ceremony and reception in our backyard due to COVID. Whenever we sat down with their coordinator, AnnMarie, we felt nothing but love and passion for her job from her. This woman really loves her job and more importantly loves and cares about her couples! Her dedication is unmatched to anywhere else we toured and it shows. She reminds you each time you have an idea or question that this is YOUR big day and not only encourage you, but give you the pros and cons of the idea and works through it with you without making you feel that your idea was completely insane. My fiance, Derek, and I constantly say that AnnMarie is the real reason we chose Highfields on top of their delicious food and gorgeous ballroom overlooking the treetops of the driving range. I was reading horror stories about couples not hearing from their venues and coordinators and given a hard time when asking for their deposit back if they rescheduled or cancelled due to COVID. We knew we wouldnt get the same experience with AnnMarie, but we didnt even need to ask for our deposit and she insisted we take it back. She was even helping us with whats next and how we can make our little backyard wedding a success and offer her answers whenever we had questions! We were so excited to have our big day there, but the world had different plans for us this year. We hope that our paths will cross with Highfields and AnnMarie in the future and if we had to go back and do it again, wed still choose them.

Course is in good condition. Took a little over 4 hours so not too bad.

We were here for a wedding. Wonderful views, staff were polite and efficient. Would definitely think about here for a wedding venue.

Had our daughters Bat mitzvah here. Ann-Marie the function coordinator is the best. She made sure the day was perfect and everything was how we wanted it.

My nephews wedding was held here. The buffet was so good. They offered stuffed chicken breast, fish and steak. All of it was great but, the steak especially! I went back for seconds! Theres wait staff were nice and efficient. The facilities are gorgeous. The view is phenomenal! I would recommend it highly.

We hosted our wedding here, it was wonderful, everything went basically perfectly. Particularly good was the director, Annmarie, who made sure that everything went perfectly.

They have a lovely clubhouse but need to post restaurant closed for the season.

Ive played here many times, and its a pretty nice place. Nothing but irons on the driving range though, and people really really need to fix their ball marks. It seems like nobody who plays there does. But the layout is interesting, the greens are deviously subtle, and its got all the traps and water hazards a person could want. Its important at this course to pick the right tees for your handicap. If you arent comfortable pulling a 4 or 5 for your approach, play the whites. Youll have more fun. Remember the part about traps and water? Sure you do.

The attitude of the rangers clearly reflects the disdain and lack of appreciation the owner has for its customers. I was with a golf group that spent $2000 on a golf outing and we were harassed multiple times by rangers despite finishing our 18 hole round in less than hours. The complaint that made me laugh the most was being yelled at for holding a beer bottle that I bought on the course while I was on the green. They said if I spilled the beer I would kill the grass which I’m pretty sure is scientifically impossible. This place will never see another dime of my money. Glad businesses is booming because I will be sure to express to every event manager I know that Highlands should be crossed off their list permanently.

Beautiful location and great food! Everything came out perfect and looked exactly as I imagined. Ann Marie was wonderful in all our detail meetings and I felt confident that if anything were to go wrong she would handle without skipping a beat! The day of my wedding, she came in to the bridal suite and asked if anyone had heard from the groomsmen as they were 15 min late, which threw me in to a slight panic. She comes in 5 min after saying they had just arrived. My maid of honor and a bridesmaid asked that if any issues or concerns to not come to me but refer to them. About an hour later she comes to me saying the photographer is not there and asked me if I had heard from her. Ann Marie had made it clear in my meetings, if someone was not where they should be, she would call them herself and handle it. Well that was not the case with this either, which of course, stressed me out. She then told me she called the photographer and said she wouldnt be there until 2 (2 hours later than our scheduled time) rather than telling my MOH and bridesmaid as was requested so I would not worry. Needless to say it was a bit of a stressful morning but the day went on. During cocktail hour while we were taking pictures of myself and my husband she rushed us, so looking back on our pictures, theres only a handful of us alone and its in one location, in their large and beautiful grounds, as she rushed us to get inside (we were on schedule and I feel that if were 15 min late due to pictures, thats okay considering its our wedding) I am extremely disappointed as there arent many pictures with us and I was disappointed as I had so much trust in Ann Marie and felt a little let down. Over all its a fantastic venue and I do recommend it! I just hope this isnt an issue for any future bride.

A great tough golf course. The rough is deep so you want to stay out of there. Course is well maintained.

One of my favorite courses. The guys in the pro shop are the best. And the lady behind the bar is the best. You cant go wrong with Highfields.

The course was in pretty good shape, but the overall experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. We brought 4 foursomes (About $1k in greens fees) to this course for a small friends tourney. The groups were all men with the exception of a womens foursome which was placed in the middle of our foursomes. They have been to the driving range plenty of times, but this was the first time at a course. With that being said, we anticipated that they would be a little slow. We kept them on track but fell slightly behind and was reminded by the ranger (which is fine). The girls then skipped over a hole to make up for the delay in time. The course then basically assigned a ranger to their group to keep pestering them to stay on track. Keep in mind by skipping a hole they were pacing at about 15 minutes per hole which is the pace of play. The ranger was extremely rude to the women (one being pregnant) and made the entire experience miserable.Not to mention my wife and I both got stung by a bee on different holes. Word of advice to the course, if someone brings you this much business in one chunk and many of the people in the group are local business owners who entertain clients as part of their business, pay them a little respect. Of course remind people of the pace of play, but do it in a nice way.

Played there for the first time on 9/3/16. Course in really good shape considering the drought and a lot of variations hole to hole. Good value. Pro Shop folks very friendly and gave us good deals on the merchandise we bought. Food in clubhouse and service there excellent.

Very disappointed that they wanted to charge me 20 dollars to try a demo club. But guess they need the 20 dollars more than maybe selling the club.

Great course. Good design. Maintained very well. Only complaint is sand trap condition varies from hole to hole. Price is about right given the track. Overall recommend highly.

Beer and wine are cheap and its a really nice atmosphere. They have the best spinach artichoke dip. Havent golfed here yet but I really enjoy stopping in the restaurant.

Bar Staff are Great! Food was really good!

I have not golfed here. I have attended 2 events here in the past year. Plenty of parking, very nice building. Clean bathrooms, great food when catered and well stocked bar that is reasonably priced. The event rooms are beautiful and the view from Highfeilds is second to none.

We were here for a wedding. The bridal room was nice, spacious and had clean mirrors. The grounds were picturesque. The bar had pitchers of water and glasses available throughout the night. The food was good, but not great. The person in charge of the event was short and often rude. The top layer of cake was placed in an open box with the flowers still on top and no cover. The should have at least put sarran wrap on it. For the price of the event it was not worth the pluses.

The course was in Great Shape...I thoroughly enjoyed the round. The pace of Play was good, when it did slow up the ranger was right on it. 5 Stars!The food and service at the Bar/Restaurant after was very good. 5 StarsUnfortunately the Snack Shack had a very limited offering and was out of almost everything! Limited Beverage choices and not a sandwich to be found! 2 StarsThe Infamous Beverage Cart was never seen! 0 Stars!!!

The course is always in good to very good shape. My rating is mostly based on the price of greens fees. They do not allow people to walk the course without having to pay extra for a cart fee, this is price gouging at its finest. I will not return to Highfields until they change their current policy.

Highfields is a nice place to hold a gala or other formal event as the venue hall is a good sized one and even though its in a golf course, the exterior is beautiful and appealing to those guests who are there for their party. That is the reason why people choose this place for their parties. Overall, good place and good taven to complement the parties.

Great course the greens are very difficult

Great design from any tee but the tigers (too old). Great staff in pro shop. I play all over New England but always enjoy returning to what I now call my home course.

Course is awesome but the restaurant leaves lots to be desired. I ordered bland fish and it came back very spicy. I complained and was told that the cook doesnt like to make specially prepared food.Completely unacceptable!The manager was nice enough to take it off my bill but that type of service has lost more than one customer I am sure!

Good food in their restaurant, lovely golf course and grounds (although havent played), beautiful function rooms for weddings and events. Courteous staff.

Course was in good shape, though the greens were somewhat inconsistent. Houses are very close to the course with no clear boundary as to what is the golf course and what is private property. My group was heckled by one of the home owners with obscenities. Golf Course staff did not resolve situation, instead calling us criminals. Will not play here again.

I am not pleased with the customer service with the wedding director. Since the beginning of my wedding process she has been nothing but, rude to us. Not happy at all. She always has smart comments and treats us like we are children.
