Clay in the Woods is the absolute best pottery experience! I have attended classes at other pottery studios in the area, and they don’t come close to the creative atmosphere Ryan creates.Ryan, the instructor, is incredibly knowledgeable, has a great deal of experience, provides ample 1-on-1 time working with you, and cares so much for his students. I’ve learned more from him in a single class than I have an entire semester at other studios.The studio space is well laid out, clean, and relaxing. The studio renters and other new potters are so warm, welcoming, and helpful. Ryan teaches us to build a strong foundation of basics, how to push your skills to new levels, and helps make your ideas come to life in the clay!I feel so lucky to be involved with the Clay in the Woods community, and look forward becoming a studio renter so I can continue to learn from Ryan while I expand my pottery skills!

Wanted to challenge myself to do something I never thought I could do. Ryan has become a great friend and mentor. Clay in the woods has allowed me to Be creative and use my hands. Ryan is there to guide me when I want to do something but feel anxious or afraid to try. Addicted and I want more.
