The Splash really is a great outdoor pool. It’s best for younger kids, as most of the facility is geared for kids 10 and younger. Not that older kids and adults can’t have fun, but the slides are pretty short and the “fun” pool is pretty shallow.It’s not nearly as busy as pirates cove and it’s much more peaceful. You can bring in food, so that’s nice.Tip: get there when it opens to snag a chair or table in the shade.

We loved it! It sure was a nice overcast summer day in the 80s. Ive never been to the concessions because we always pack a lunch and drinks. Get there early to get a lounge chair! The fact that its so cheap and super fun.. also safe, its a great summer day staycation!

Great public park at Golden, friendly staff, kids love it, we really enjoy Fathers Day this year at pool.

It was alot of fun. The kids loved it. They have life jackets that you can use if you need them at no charge. A little dirt play area. A little splash pad for the kids when they do the 10 minute adult swim at every 10 minutes to the hour.

Fun spot. Littler kids loved the slides and play area. Lots of vigilant lifeguards on duty. Pretty view of the foothills surrounding Golden. Will go back!

I have strongly mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand the pool was amazing and the staff were phenomenal. Those aspects deserve 5+ stars. On the other hand, the locker rooms were so disgusting and moldy that I wouldnt let my kid in them. See attached photos. I didnt even want to touch the floor and had I not had flip flops on I wouldnt have showered either. This aspect deserves no stars. So combined they get a two until they clean up their facilities

This place is so amazing with my little skills of swimming I started to drown I thought my life was over until a big strong lifeguard man reached down like God and pulled me out from the water saving my life. Any way great place !

Good prices for locals. Can get packed so go early. Usually clean and attentive staff. Awesome that you can bring your own food/snacks in & they have a concession stand for the usual waterpark stuff.

Its the best place ever

Really spacious and a variety of activities for all ages. Has lap pool, shallow kid area, slides, splash pad, and large sandbox. To take your entire family it gets pretty expensive. The bottom of the pool is slippery so if you have water shoes for your kids I would recommend it.

Easy to get to water park! Not as busy as pirates cove and definitely cleaner!!! Water slides, kiddie pool, lap pool, diving boards, sand area. Life guards on top of it! I have seen them jump in several times! Lots of shaded areas, lounge chairs, grassy areas! They sell food and you are allowed to bring in your own! Bonus! Bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms!

My kids love coming here however the lifeguards are ridiculous here! Constantly blowing their whistles at little kids. All day long..... Dont climb up the slide. Its a very small kiddie slide and the water is 6 inches or less. Seriously way to strict and on a BIG power trip. It kinda takes away the fun of just swimming and being kids! I might have to find a new swim place, Im over these lifeguards.

Love going to Splash, I work in child care and we take around 60-75 kids. They are always well staffed which makes my job easier.There is a kid pool with a play structure, 2 big slides, and an Olympic pool with lanes that are Lap only In the morning. In the afternoon they take half the lanes out for free swim AND there is a diving board which is my favorite part.There is also a snack bar with burgers and hot dogs and other snacks and drinks.Being in Golden there is usually a thunderstorm that shows up around 2ish so Id recommend going in the morning.

We love the Splash at Fossil Trace! Next year we will definitely be buying the punch cards! They also do discounted entry every day after 4:30 which we love!

Great local waterpark. Slides, laps, large splash area (& a smaller for little ones), sand play area. We didnt partake in the grill, but looked and smelled good. Unlike our experiences at other local pools...LOTS OF SHADED AREA for relief from the sun. Well be returning for sure.

Fun place for littles. Unfortunately my 10, 12 and 14 year olds seem to have outgrown it this year. They have two giant slides - one you can ride with innertubes - a kiddie pool, splash pad and a very shallow water playground with giant bucket that dumps every few minutes. Also a lap pool for the grown ups. Lots of shaded and non-shaded seating close to the water features as well as several grassy areas where you can picnic. Food is allowed in the park!

Best place in the world to spend a day. Very professional lifeguards, very well trained. The grill staff is amazing, best steak Ive ever had! Go spend your time at the spalsh!

This water park is very kids friendly; however, for two consecutive times we could enjoy the pool for less than a couple of hours due to thunderstorms. It was pouring rain for a couple of hours and the staff said they were going to open in 30 min, which was a big lie. The park refuses to provide any discount or voucher for the next visit. Thats unfortunate.

The adult lap pool is quiet and serene. But lately kids have been allowed to be there without any adults which ruined my lap time.....

Wonderful and friendly staff and life guards, can host group events for civic groups, pools are heated to 89 degrees in the play pool and 82 in the lap swim and diving pool.

The splash is the greatest water park in the world! I have never had such a good time in my life. All of the people there were so nice! People say Disney world is the happiest place on earth. Those people are wrong! Splash is the happiest place on earth. Id give six stars if I could.

Awesome pool for the kids only gets up to about 3 feet also has a jungle gym area 2 small slides and to big slides. Has another pool that gets up to 12 ft and also has a diving board

A delightfully wet haven nestled right in Colorado’s highlands which I found while searching for a rare species of ant. Came across several young in’s in red bathing attire; yippin and hollerin at the bathers. Didn’t understand who these youths were at first but after sharing a fabulous steak with several of these persons I came to appreciate the hero’s they were. They even helped apply a simple adhesive bandage to my Adam’s apple after I ran on the wet pool deck, dove into the shallow end, went under the rope, and scratched my Adam’s apple on sunglasses I’d lossed off the slide earlier. The lifeguards were very polite yet firm when telling me the laws of the lake. And I had the impression that had I ever been burned on the premises I would have been removed fromThe source of the burn immediately. Lifeguards ate many carrots(apparently around a pound and a half a day) which explains their excellent eyesight and vigilance!!-Came for the world famous steak, stayed for the bragging rights and friendship!-Praise tipper!

The park is not huge, but is sufficient for the kids to have a great time. It has great parking and is clean and accessible. Major kudos for hosting the Colorado summer league state swim championships the past 2 years.

It was a warm pool a fun atmosphere and relatively inexpensive!

Like water world but wayyyy better. Dreamy lifeguards make me feel like Im on an episode of bay watch. Always spotless. Never busy. Would recommend.

You can do flips off the diving board, my favorite and only consideration of a swimming pool. They do have slides and a large kiddy play area. But my favorite part is the diving area by far. Concessions are reasonable as well.

Watch out they have these lifeguard people who yell rules at you. One even told me to walk. Who do these people think they are? Had to give 4 stars just for the food though, best steak Ive ever had.

This park would get a good review from me except that once EVERY hour they make everyone get out of the pools while only adults swim. (Even though one of the pools is really just for kids. And no adults go in during this time anyway.) So we all sit around waiting to get back in. It’s very frustrating and we won’t be back just because of this. There are too many other pools around to put up with this nonsense

Fun place for the little kiddies. Shallow water for toddlers, they provide life jackets for all weights, fun slides for adults and children, bucket drop tons of water , Sand fun and the cost is just right.

Very nice park. Small, but the entry fee was reasonable for the size. I wasnt a fan of adult swim because the park is geared toward young kids and having 10 min a hour dedicated to adults seemed like it was making 90% of the park be inconvenienced for the other 10% who could stand in line like the rest of us.

It was very fun, they give out free water at concession stands. The bathrooms were gross but everything else was great

This was a great place to go play in the water and beat the summer heat! With slides, a water playground, a lap pool and a diving area, this place had everything! Also love the $3 admission after 16:30...we will definitely be back!

This place can be fun and is very clean which I appreciate however closing pool for an HOUR after only being open an hour is beyond ridiculous. No adults in kids pool/slides and adults only on other side. Place is packed with kids watching an empty pool and a dozen life guards eating lunch.

Great for kids, not crowded in the afternoons (esp after the first rain shower ...locals understand)). Love the 10 minute adults only swim = No line for the slide :-)

It took 45 min to get in, because they only had one ticket window open! (10:15, right at opening) Other than that, it was a great experience, once you could get it.

I went to splash today and it was terrible! Because they have summer camps coming constantly it was chaos! There were about 4 summer camps. And I understand that adult swim is so the kids take a break and like put on sunscreen, but right before I was getting ready to leave I decided to go on the water slide, I waited for quite a while, I was 2 people from going on it and they called adult swim! In the morning they have the deeper pool and all of the lap pools reserved for adults so you are stuck either in the 1 pool or waiting an hour for the water slide. I have a teeny little pool at home, I would rather swim in that. Never coming back again!
