SAVED MY DOGS LIFE!I have to leave a review for the wonderful staff on duty on 7/18/20. Two individuals by the names of Heidi and Sylvan. Both of these park staff members went above and beyond to help me out of a bad situation. My 5-yr old french bulldog Manny was very overheated. We had taken a very short walk, but regardless his body was thrown into a overheated episode. I had him in my arms and rushed to the Lookout Mountain Nature Center. He could not breath and was gasping for air, terrifying to experience. Both staff members quickly responded, providing me with cold water, wet towels, and the knowledge in what to do (it was not a just give your dog water situation). After 15 mins of continued emergency response our dog was able to recover well enough for us to get him to our veterinarian for an IV. I greatly appreciate the help from both of these staff members and I hope that managing staff and visitors to this park know that good people are all around them. In our case it truly made a difference. I never saw my dog in that condition and he would not have survived had it not been for their quick reaction. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU BOTH.

Was suprised to find this nature center on our hike on the Windy Saddle trail. We couldnt go in due to the pandemic but they had some exhibits outside showing the animsls in this area. There was a park ranger there and was very knowledgeable and told us about the animals that was being shown, Thank you.

This is a wonderful place to bring the family for a picnic. Not a lot of distance for hiking but I think it would be great for young people that dont want to hike very far. The visitor center is extremely nice and the staff/team there are personable, knowledgeable and take good care of the grounds/facility. While you are there, check out the mansion next door. Some fun history is all around so dont hesitate to ask questions while you are there. Enjoy.

I took my best friends there a few weeks ago and now theyre in love too. This location makes it easy to find yourself a nice place to sit and just admire the world.

Very well kept place with great views. There was plenty of parking, including accessible parking spots. I did not visit the Nature Museum, we were there to do some hiking. We chose to do the Meadows Loop and it was a great hike. The paths are well preserved and clear of debris. Great views of downtown Denver as well. I highly recommend this spot as well as driving a mile down the road to Buffalo Bill’s grave and lookout area.

Information center with restrooms, information booth and rangers for questions, lots of parking, a mansion you can tour or book for events (tours by appointment in off season), and some nice beginner trails around back with a good view of Denver.
