Its exactly what it said. Big and easy. Its a paved path that connects all the way over to idaho springs as well as the mayhem gulch trail. Nice and steady with a few rolling hills right along the clear creek. It is right next to the road, but the noise isnt too bad in some areas where the path is further away. Theres also multiple parking areas and restrooms along the path. Popular spot for kids and groups or even dogs or rollerblades

Stretch you legs at this highway side trail break area for a rest. There is water access, a bridge, pit toilets, and plenty of picnicking tables.The water, like the name implies was very clear and in late September low and very cold. This is also a great place for people to catch the bike trail as there is ample parking.

Nice walk along a creek. Limited parking. We only walked a short bit, but you could see and hear the cars on the road the whole time. Not sure if the path turns inland away from road.

It is a beautiful place to walk and observe nature. We were able to see a family of goats grazing before we left. You maybe lucky to see some animals too, but watch out for the bikes and skateboards.

Clear Creek is great. Water is clean enough to get in, maybe dont drink it or get it in your eyes or anything. Good for a picnic, an exploratory wade upstream, fly fishing, or even (apparently) moderately profitable gold panning. Get some water shoes and forget you live in a desert!

Scenic and well built. The trail is a blast to ride on. Few people here on weekdays. Weekends it’s crowded.

Great place to go if youre looking to get at some gold, just make sure you look up and follow the prospecting rules for the area if you do.

Lots of parking and water access. Plenty of shade and tables. Great place to start walking or biking roughly 4.5 miles from the lower end of the Peaks To Plains Trail to the top alongside Clear Creek .

Good for kids to ride bikes but a bit boring.. all the same scenery. Not much area for hiking.. not good fishing.

Great trail! Its paved for a good portion of it but there are lots of trails off the paved part to do some real hiking. They have several water access spots that are perfect for dipping your toes in the river.

Love love love this spot! Such an awesome (paved) running trail - the views of the mountains, rivers + the cooling effects of the trees are just so perfect. The first stretch of the paved trail is ~1.5 miles (one way), but the jaw-dropping views start on the SECOND half of the trail which is ~2.5 miles (one way). You’ll pass through some tunnels and you’ll end up running in some awesome secluded place.Reminder to folks: please keep our natural areas clean and don’t treat these places like your home garbage cans. I was so disappointed to see more and more trash now that the place have become more accessible. I’ve started picking them up bc it’s just a sore sight and I’m just so sick of it —diapers, liquor bottles, you name it. They’re all hair thrown in the parking lower grounds and also close to the river bushes. C’mon. Let’s do better.

Great little mountain spot for people who cant do much hiking. Decent parking, lots of picnic tables, wheelchair accessible paths.

Easily accessible paved walking/biking trail that runs along side Clear Creek. There are several places along the trail specified as water access. The trail is often crowded. The sound of the water is nice but its frequently drowned out by road traffic.

Havent made it there yet but the lady answering the phone is such a delight and had all the info I was looking for right on tap.

Its a great place to walk with the kids and have a picnic by the river.

I like how they built little pools with rocks for the kids to be able to play in the river.

The trail is very clean, and has wonderful views of the river and tranquil sounds of nature.

I love being outside, and you can wade in the creek here, just be careful if the water is high and watch small children.

This place was so amazing. Took the boys, both eight. We got there around 11 and still found a great place to park. There is so much to do. You can fish, hike, bike (thats new), relax, prospect. We walked the big easy trail and it was very relaxing. I could have stayed there all day. We went under a bridge and sat looking at rocks, skipping rocks, splashing each other with water. Next time we will pack a lunch. We were there from 11 until 2. Great time!

This is a very nice place to visit, it has a good amount of parking, restrooms, concert trails, finished rocks steps going to the water. The people there are very friendly, it is very clean so please do your part if you pack it in pack it out.

This was truly an amazing find. Its rare to find outdoor activities for people in wheel chairs. I love that there is a paved path almost the entire way through the canyon.

I stop here with my dog on the way to gamble in blackhawk. The area I stop at is lovely, plenty of parking , after crossing the river on the pedestrian bridge, you choose left into the woods or right down a wide concrete path. Either way is wonderful. Always a great stop over for me and my pup.

We love this place. The creek is awesome. In summer it is ideal for white water rafting. In the winter the creek freezes. So it is beautiful in all season. The park is well maintained with restrooms and wheelchair accessible pavements by the creek which make this park ideal for all ages including pets. The road leading to the park is well maintained and cleaned promptly during snow. So it is an ideal place for a walk or hike around.

Great trailhead with easy access parking, good walkways, and easy access to Clear Creek. Hiking, biking, walking all encouraged. Apparently you can prospect for gold here too, when you walk in the Creek, you can see how much gold dust is in the soil, its amazing.

I love coming here people friendly, we come to enjoy sunny days and cook by the river close to home .

It is really a nice trail, we enjoyed our walk even though we didnt get that far because it started raining. We are going back again though and hope to get much farther.

One of the best trails around... Beautiful landscaping. Theres concrete trails that you can take a stroller or bikes. Its an awesome adbenture in the Mountains.

Clear Creek Canyon one of my favorite places to go and pan for gold recreationally of course the mouth of the canyon is where it is recommended to go in Prospect and pan for gold stop in there and try it it a lot of fun this is also the way to Blackhawk and Central City casinos
