I wasnt really at Camp George West. I was at the Pleasantview park that is adjacent to it. You have to drive thru Camp George West to get to the park. The park is nice because its never crowded. No one seems to know about it. It has walking paths around the soccer field in the east and through the west part of the park. Or you can just walk along the east side of the park and then turn east to take a path that connects up with a trail on South Table Mountain.

Great place to park if you are looking to hike in South table mountain. Nice sports fields and so clean porta potty as well.Onesunchaser

I took a walk with my dog for first time here. Its surprisingly pleasant. Not a lot of people, which made it even better.

This is a nice park. However, there are no permanent facilities and you have to drive through what looks like a military base to get there. The signage is weak. This is also the official entrance to the JeffCo Open Space park, South Table Mountain, but three are no signs, just a kiosk that you cant see into you park and stumble upon it.

Cool views over Golden. It was a nice warm up to dealing with elevation for a Midwest guy.

It is a beautiful historic site for gatherings. Very handicap accessible.You need to bring your own grill if you are planning on grilling, also be aware of wind direction when seeing it up. When somebody opened the kitchen door the smoke came in and set of the smoke alarm system.

Typically good spot. Practice soccer here, it could be weeded better, otherwise great. Can be hard to find.

Beautiful park, part of Jeffco open space, has a gorgeous stone house totally renovated for parties with restroom. perfect for jogging, dog walking, baseball, soccer, picnics, horses...and on & on!

Bldg. 48: Nice paved lot and sidewalks. Lots of grass, neatly trimmed. I attended an event at the rental pavilion. There are no permanent grills here, so you have to bring your own. Be sure you arrive early to get your grill set up in time to eat. Someone opened the kitchen window and accidentally set off the smoke detector. thats when we found out that the fire department doesnt know where this building is. Hopefully they will know next time.

I was there for a soccer game. It was a nice field. The camp looks like it has so much history and is Immaculately maintained.

Nice place to walk a mile on a dirt/rock path instead of a concrete sidewalk.

Its not an exciting place to be at, it is by a jail, which kinda ruins the mood. Dont hold any practices there.
