Amazing and easy trail. Great for kids. Good creek access. Your kids will get wet and then they can air dry at the playground. Good for dogs, too.

Its always nice visiting this park, beautiful nature, nice smiling people around. Its very good place to spend time with a family.

I had the pleasure of popping in here a few times. I always enjoy stopping to smell the roses in their garden when I go for walks. They had a free entry all last year! They often do this for the candle walk as well. They have fun events and there is some interesting articles, artifacts and activities for the kids.

The river is gorgeous. And also, chickens.

Love this park, especially since they have added all the new beautiful routes down to the water. It is great to see kayakers, paragliders and walkers out and about in all weather. Also love the new history homes that are decorated inside and the chicken coop. Lots of fun and beauty for the family. Good running and a playground too!

Went and saw the Christmas lights which are pretty decent. You do a small river walk that is lit up with a great presentation of lights. Make sure to dress warm since it is next to the river. Bundle up those little ones as well.

Such a beautiful walk along the river in Golden! We watched people on kayaks and inner tubes, visited the riverside museum and explored the historical buildings along the way. Its a perfect place to spend some family time, and let the kids play at the various playgrounds and green areas along the way. And youre just steps away from great restaurants when its time for food!

Tour guides are available in kiosk pamphlet holders at either end of the park. You cant enter the buildings but the tour guide pamphlet contains a lot of information about the locations, their history, and what is going on with them now. There are formal tours, the times for which are on the pamphlet, which are guided tours with informative tour guides.This park is free, and parking is street parking, and also free. There are port-o-johns here.

Peaceful n amazing

This little western town and small buildings are a in Golden off of Ford street next to the Golden Hotel, always fun to go there. When you see the white Church you are there.

Nice walking path

This is all part of Golden, CO with the beautiful river flowing through Golden. Lots of folks go tubing and kayaking. Always something going in and around town. Highly recommend visiting Golden if in the Denver area. Golden is also close to Red Rocks Ampitheater where alot of great music artist appear.

Rafting has RUINED fishing!! We PAY for fishing licenses, they do NOT PAY for rafting!!

Its a very nice park. There was parking. But we went on a Thursday night, so maybe thats why there was parking. But really nice park. Very nice walking/running trail. Not too crowded but again, it was Thursday night.

Very interesting piece of Colorado history. We learned quite a bit about Colorado in the 1860s. Kids learned about trading, butter churning, blacksmithing, music, washing laundry and school.

Brilliant place! Weve been here several times to walk the park. Some really cool homestead structures, a garden, and farm animals - all to replicate some of the aspects of homesteader living. Fun spot to walk through when you visit Golden. Next to Clear Creek. Also, Golden City Brewery is across the street for afterward!

I have visited Golden many times but I never knew about the river walk & the history park. This is a Must do for anyone visiting Golden Co. with an hour to explore

Its an awesome place to visit and to walk around. In winter its really wonderful and its great to have a hot chocolate and walk by the frozen river. Id definitely go back.

Cool place to get some history and sometimes they have events. Golden has a long and rich history. From the coors brewery to the gold rush and much more.

I traveled to GOLDEN, CO. for the Coors brewery tour and heard about the crystal clear ice melt water that they use for their beer from the nearby creek. When i went to see this creek i was in awe as to the beauty of GOLDEN and its creek. I had to jump in the freezing water and observe all the rafts, canoes and swimmers. An awesome creek and park for you to visit. If you do visit make sure you pick up your trash before you leave.

A nice small park with old buildings and farm equipment. Only takes a few minutes to walk through and its free.

Nice little scenic walk around with historic buildings. Great place for taking pictures, beautiful flowers allover the place. There is also a chicken coop where you can feed chickens for 25 cents. Overall a great place to visit.

I wish there was more places like this where I grew up in Grand Junction there was a place called cross Orchards living history Farm teaches kids about how things were done when they were done the right way these types of places are disappearing eventually there will just be a 3D printer sitting there... this is how we do everything now

If youve ever walked along Clear Creek in Golden, than you have probably been by the Clear Creek History Park. Its hard to miss, yet most people never take the time to explore the historic buildings, or attend some of the lectures and reenactments. You can download a free map from their website to do a self-guided tour and get a lot of great photos, or check out the calendar of events. Take note that not all of the events on the calendar are free but well worth the cost.

Very nice park. Take your kids here. They will get a glimpse of how people lived in this areas.

Excellent views, historical buildings. Enjoyable scary after Dark and respectable during the day all able to learn and enjoy the environment. Highly recommended
