It was very cold and snowy and it was still CIVID19 season but I thought this museum on if the best I have been to in quite awhile. I love trains so I had a special interest and it was wonderful. So glad I went even under difficult situation.

The exhibits were quite good, the only thing I found a bit dull is the citys history. So if you have special interest with Goldens history than this a good place to visit. Otherwise might as well skip it

Quite interesting! I would have enjoyed more if it had more of the older history. I am Golden born and then traveled, so I could not relate to the new bicycling, newer events, etc., that didnt seem to fit as history...just me though. I am sure many may find the new events/people interesting. The people were quite interesting to talk to though.

Great local museum! If you come to Golden, make sure to stop in and learn about the history of the town! Wonderful location! They have a small theatre with old, black and white movies that were shot in Golden. They have a wonderful walking exhibit, highlighting benchmarks, events, and people that are important to the town. Highly recommended!

The Museum itself is lovely; however, the Staff are less than accommodating, and aren’t the most friendly. Attended a wedding there, and the Bridal Party didn’t bring a cake table, because who knew they had to when renting a venue? The Staff wouldn’t allow them to use one of theirs and it finally took someone offering to rent a table for 2 hours, until they agreed to it.

This small but intriguing museum brings you back in time along with the entire town. Dont plan on spending a lot of time inside, walk along the town and see the rest the town has to offer

My kids love it.there’s build and play section. But we have to leave coz lady at front desk says my kids making too much noise.Whats the point of keeping kids section if they can’t play contently.Other than it,it’s great education place .

Golden History is a quaint little museum located along Clear Creek. The History Park is right across from the museum on the south side of Clear Creek. It has cabins, a schoolhouse and and a blacksmiths shop from the late 1800s. During Homesteaders Days the buildings are open to the public. The History Center went through a recent renovation and is offering free admission for their 80th anniversary. If you are going for a stroll along Clear Creek or youre visiting Golden from out of town, its worth a look.

We werent able to go in because they were closed for schools to come through. The worker was understanding, though, and pointed us to the geology museum nearby.
