It was very cold and snowy and it was still CIVID19 season but I thought this museum on if the best I have been to in quite awhile. I love trains so I had a special interest and it was wonderful. So glad I went even under difficult situation.
The exhibits were quite good, the only thing I found a bit dull is the citys history. So if you have special interest with Goldens history than this a good place to visit. Otherwise might as well skip it
A really great resource for some local history. The staff is great
It was fun and free. Small but cute.
I am a history buff this is the history of Golden.
Quite interesting! I would have enjoyed more if it had more of the older history. I am Golden born and then traveled, so I could not relate to the new bicycling, newer events, etc., that didnt seem to fit as history...just me though. I am sure many may find the new events/people interesting. The people were quite interesting to talk to though.
Great local museum! If you come to Golden, make sure to stop in and learn about the history of the town! Wonderful location! They have a small theatre with old, black and white movies that were shot in Golden. They have a wonderful walking exhibit, highlighting benchmarks, events, and people that are important to the town. Highly recommended!
The Museum itself is lovely; however, the Staff are less than accommodating, and aren’t the most friendly. Attended a wedding there, and the Bridal Party didn’t bring a cake table, because who knew they had to when renting a venue? The Staff wouldn’t allow them to use one of theirs and it finally took someone offering to rent a table for 2 hours, until they agreed to it.
This small but intriguing museum brings you back in time along with the entire town. Dont plan on spending a lot of time inside, walk along the town and see the rest the town has to offer
A nice, small local history museum with well done exhibits. Free admission means its a great family stop.
The museum was pretty disappointing! I have lived in golden my whole life and finally decided to check it out for the first time.Iam sure glad its free for 2019!I guess for people outside of golden might find it interesting.
It’s a cool museum. There’s a fun game you can do that guides you through the exhibits.
My kids love it.there’s build and play section. But we have to leave coz lady at front desk says my kids making too much noise.Whats the point of keeping kids section if they can’t play contently.Other than it,it’s great education place .
Golden History is a quaint little museum located along Clear Creek. The History Park is right across from the museum on the south side of Clear Creek. It has cabins, a schoolhouse and and a blacksmiths shop from the late 1800s. During Homesteaders Days the buildings are open to the public. The History Center went through a recent renovation and is offering free admission for their 80th anniversary. If you are going for a stroll along Clear Creek or youre visiting Golden from out of town, its worth a look.
Some interesting things. Not worth paying for
We werent able to go in because they were closed for schools to come through. The worker was understanding, though, and pointed us to the geology museum nearby.
Great place to visit when wanting to learn about the towns history.
Very nice! It feels a little cheesy inside, but other than that, it’s a spectacular place to learn of all the surprising facts about Golden!
Fun with my in Colorado.
On of the most comprehensive information I have seen in a museum of this size. Very nice place to visit, with plenty of historical information.
Small but fun. Beautiful access to the river right behind the building
Nice but small. Outside buildings are only open on Saturdays once a month when they have a volunteer to run them.
Quaint little museum with interesting stories of the past and recent success of the people of Golden. Dont forget to look at the historical buildings across the Greek.
Quaint cute place to get out of the snow. Friendly guides love to talk about this beautiful town!
Great, quiet little place to learn about the history of Golden. And this year (2019) admission is free!
That was fun place.
Bits and pieces. Of history but no theme
A wonderful local history museum with great staff and exhibits.
This a must stop shoppe for all who pass through Denver. Nestled on the banks of Clear Creek, you will be educated in the history of a small, yet influential town in Colorado.
Its a small museum, but its a good way to kill time and learn about Golden.
Small museum but good information on history.
Nice spot to visit if you are walking around! Not great but nothing disappointing either.
Pretty neat place.
Had a lot of fun here.
Great place to park to go tubing
Who woulda thunk.
