Cape Ann Lanes is a wonderful place to not only go bowling but at eat and have a drink.They have their own brewery and I tried three if their house beers.The staff were very helpful and attentive all the time. The owner even showed us the brewing equipment and have us a taste of a batch that has not been released yet.The pricing is very affordable.

So much fun!! Staff is super helpful, and friendly! We did the family deal. For $59. It includes 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, a pizza, and a pitcher of soda. The pizza was REALLY good. Which honestly surprised me. I dont mean really good for a bowling alley. I mean REALLY good! Definitely a great night out for our family

Great friendly family fun.

This is one of the best bowling alleys Ive been to! The computer system works great. The ball return is fast. The small arcade area is fun, especially the candy crane. There are great snacks at the snack bar, although weve yet to try the pizza. And the beer and wine is absolutely necessary, considering that when we go, its with our 3 kids, ages 6, 4, and 3!

This was our first trip to Cape Ann Lanes; we were looking for something fun to do on our vacation in Rockport. I called to inquire about renting a lane with bumpers for an hour and spoke to Steven. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. We arrived and were pleasantly surprised at how clean and kid-friendly Cape Ann Lanes were. It was the first time bowling for both of my children and we had so much fun! Steven let us choose our lane and explained everything to us. He even came over a few minutes later to let us know that while the kitchen was not open at that time, there were snacks and beverages available for purchase if we wanted anything. He was so polite, friendly and helpful! The scoring system was so easy to use, the shoes we rented were comfortable and the place was very clean. Best of all it was a wonderful experience for our children. We have decided to make bowling at Cape Ann Lanes a new family tradition for our Rockport vacation every year!

Cape Ann Lanes is a blast! Clean, friendly staff, accommodating, and fun! their pizza is one of the best in town. They also support all local fundraising efforts. And are extremely generous with their business! Was there a week ago and had an excellent few hours!

Was here for my nieces birthday party. Entire family drive a long distance to be there. Started out great! Kids loved it and my nephew who I have with me full time loved bowling (it was his first time). He was so comfortable there he was having a great time! Then the people working the party turned from nice and great to not so nice and just wanted everyone out so they could host a private party (when booking the party they conveniently left that out). We had kids trying to turn in tickets in the dark and in the middle Of food tables etc for the private party. I was thinking of having my nephews birthday party there since he loved it so much, but after seeing what I did and the way the host was treated we will never go back never mind a private party!

We love Cape Ann Lanes! A great place for the whole family to bowl or just play arcade games. They have some great old school games, pin all machines and newer ticket-based games for the kids. Bowling alleys are well kept up and the place is relatively clean compared to most similar places you will find.

We host all of our childrens birthday parties here and its always a blast for the kids and a break for the parents ! The staff is friendly and helpful, the bathrooms are immaculate! ! The food is really good too! Whether were having a birthday party their, our kids are doing the hot dog bowling league or were just there for an afternoon of family bowling, its always great. Oh, and the arcade games !? Such a variety and definitely helps make this 80s kid feel right at home ! :)

Im not from the area. I was here on vacation and enjoyed the 5 strings I bowled. Im use to regular 10 pin games with the 10-16 pound bowling balls. I spent over an hour here but had a great time.. I asked the young lady that was working what an average game is. I was surprised that I was fairly close. I think my games were all between 50 and 85. :)

Theres an arcade with tickets & prizes for kids, as well as a decent selection of alcoholic beverages for adults.Ive bowled here at least a couple times per year since I was maybe 5 years old. Ive had two birthday parties here, and its always been great.They keep up to date with technology and constantly add new games and amenities.100% Recommended!

Im not much of a bowler, but the place gets a high rating from me because they have old school pinball machines. Its a family oriented place, and people always seem to be having a good time when I visit.

A nice, relatively small candlepin bowling alley. Fresh with black light, the alley took on a fun atmosphere for evening of fun. Slightly expensive to play each game, but worth the fun experience.

Great place to bring the kids or spend a few hours with friends for a couple beers and gutter balls. I heard the leagues are fun too!

The new ownership have done amazing place to this iconic Gloucester venue!!! - Micro-brews, wine, great food, and totally fun, updated and upbeat atmosphere- Its now a totally great spot for an adult night of fun, a kids birthday party, league night or just a spontaneous night of fun and laughs - I went with my son for a local event and we had a BLAST!!!

Saving the bowling alley in Gloucester has been a struggle a number of owners have been in and out over the last 10 years or so.The current owners are doing a tremendous job keeping good wholesome entertainment for the entire family.A nice variety of new and vintage video and pin Ball machines,and 20 Lanes to bowl candlepins, bumpers are available for the little ones.Although a nice limited selection of crafted beer as well as the 3 or 4 popular brands the emphasis is on family entertainment.The limited menu is geared towards the youngsters with pizza, french fries and more will take the edge off. I make it a point to bring my 5 year old grandson twice a month.The employees are friendly and seem to know everyones name.
