Charles R Wood Theater is the best ever theater in the local community. I bet they can plan broadway shows.

Such a beautiful theater. Its neat and clean, and intimate, with seating for approximately 294 people. The acoustics are very good in the theater and I dont believe that there is a bad seat in the house. Theres a great PA system unlike some of the smaller intimate theaters locally, where if youre in the back of the theater, you cant hear. Thats not the case here. They really do offer quite a variety of shows for the young and old alike. They have beer and wine which is nice, and unlike some of the other theaters where you have to drink it before you go in to the theater, you are allowed to bring it to your seat, which is a HUGE plus. The theater is in the old Woolworths building, so not only is it historical, but theyve tried to keep some of the charm from the building. Woolworths had a luncheonette counter inside the building back in its day, and the sign from Woolworths luncheonette is displayed in the theater lobby, and its in relatively excellent condition. The restrooms are in the basement, which can be a challenge for seniors and individuals with mobility issues. However, there is an elevator that will bring you down to the lower level to use the restrooms if you are not able to master the stairs. A gem worth a visit from anywhere, and definitely a place to revisit

Went to see West side story. Was beyond my expectations. The casting was pretty good especially Maria. They all sang very well but Tony and Maria were phenomenal singers. My only complaint is that the place was freezing cold so I was very uncomfortable through the whole play. I never saw so many kids with so much talent all in one place.

Went to west side story and it was great. Upstate Broadway is a great company. The venue is really nice and the people are great.

This place is a treasure. Well thought out design. Not a bad seat to be had. Saw Sequence here and it was a wonderful theater going experience in every way.

Unique small town venue with friendly staff and microbrews too!

The host is a RIOT I love coming here ! The plays and musicals are always great so much so that I even bought season passes and bring family and friends here every time they visit. My favorite was Office Wars in 2017. The Loch Ness in 2018 was great too! Can’t wait for the 2019 season to startWould recommend bringing your own snacks though Also line for ladies room is always super long so be prepared.

Relatively comfortable theater. Small enough so that all seats provide a decent view. Main complaint is that the restrooms are one flight down.

Clean and intimate location. Not much in the way of amenities. Went to see a Warren Miller film. The staff is pleasant.

This place always has great opportunities to watch various things. They have a great medium of live performances and movie showings for families. Also a great variety on shows for families and adult shows. Its great lighting, and sound. The seats are cozy and youre guaranteed a good night. Lastly, they are amazing with the volunteer program which makes the workers warm and welcoming.

Went tonight to see making comedy great again. Friendly staff. Great comedians. I love the balcony seats.

Another fun night at the Wood! First opportunity to take in the Comedy tour though, #kevindowneyjr has me laughing to the point of tears. Great seating for smaller crowd.I have been in the same room for a baby shower, and a magic show. Love how the same space can be transformed!The big theater never fails to disappoint and all great seats for the venue.

Small local theater. They put on varying productions often.The seating rises the further back you go so everyone has a great view of the stage.Very clean well kept. The bathrooms when you walk in are in the basement. Its a bit of a hike.The bathrooms upstairs are more accessible if you are seated up top.

Great local venue, comfortable seats, small intimate setting, everyone has a great view, staff was friendly and informative. A good variety of shows, id recomend you get dinner at one of the local restaurants then see a show at the Charles Wood Theater

Seating is good, the play was great. We really enjoyed it.

Dont get to enjoy this venue as much as I would like to. Most recent visit was to see Eaglemania, an Eagles tribute band. The nice thing about this venue is that there are no bad seats due to its size. Considering that this is a converted five & dime store, the acoustics are pretty decent. Prices for shows are pretty reasonable too.

Flip Orley is awful . First time there wasn’t a show because there were no volunteers. Second time he talked for an hour and focused on two people for the majority of the show. Beware this guy
