The park its self is nice. It has a beautiful lake, but because so many homeless people have taken residence in it, I would not hang out there. Like someone else stated in an earlier post, it is a great place for homeless outreach.

Very dirty. Went this morning just to clean up trash, lots of trash. Lots of homeless people but they have never bothered me.

Its a park with great potential everyone is nice and respects your space there is a homeless group of people there but again the park is still meant to be visited the duckies were so happy to see us and be fed see the birds attacking my kids I added a photo lol

The park has hit its lowest ever no bathrooms for public and the park is trashed and no room for public to sit in the Ramada area

Let me tell you why I gave this park a low rating. It is not a bad looking park. Technically its two parks split by Bethany Home Road. There is a playground, handball courts, a pond & A JET!!!The issue that I have with this park is the amount of homeless people that live in it. I, for one, did not feel safe when I went to check it out. I was approached and followed throughout the park. I have not gone back. Some days are better than others I imagine so if you decide to go here, please be safe & aware of your surroundings.

This place is a get nice public park to hangout out or visit. Its very beautiful they have a nice little pond you call fish in all everything. They have a life size replica of a plane which is super friggin cool. Theres a pretty nice playground so the kids can have fun. This is a place for the family, or taking the dogs out for a little hike even. I was impressed with this place for sure I most definitely wanna visit again if I have the chance!

City of Glendale does not take care of their park. This park had been ran down dead fish in the water. It would be a great place to take the family if it was cleaned

I went to the park to have a picnic with my family there were homeless sleeping on the tables witch is disgusting This park is going down hill every time there are more and more homeless we saw a lady showering in the pond Im afraid of letting my kids play I found a pipe and needles this park is so beautiful I wish they would fix the problem.

The water was dirty and it had dead fish and ducks.

I gave it 5 stars bc of the waterfalls and the seating. Also bc of the sea saw in the playground. There may be some homeless people there. There are so many different walks of life I can not be sure bc I mind my own business and dont waste my time paying attention to others or judging people. Im pretty sure even homeless people have beeter things to do ( like trying to survive) than wasting their time following strangers! They were probally headed the same way and people who are full of themselves think everything is always about them lol!!

Nice little park, good atmosphere

The armada on this side is currently closed due to vandalism, and there are a good number of homeless people out and about, not to mention some people on drugs.. not a good park, but not too bad either. More should be done to keep a safe and clean environment in this area.

Love this park. Great place to take your children and dogs. There is a nice path around the pond for walking and bicycling/skating around. Plus there is this amazing Concrete Bench with my Daddys Memorial on it. R.I.P Daddy

Had a wonderful day today, the Ladies from Place of Freedom were here today, They painted nails and did make up for the ladies, then we discussed My Wedding that is taking place next week on the 4th of July!! They prayed with all of us and served us Pizza and Sports drinks.. They truly are A Blessing to Us All.. Thank you...

For a park in a bad area, it has enough sports areas with a few tournaments always going on. Not recommended at night if you are looking for a night out with the girlfriend, but for an inner-city park, the bathrooms work and has enough lighting until 9:50pm. Three stars cause the hoops have nets and do does the volleyball courts. But lots of homeless...so if your not offended or worried about them, then it is a good park with tables and BBQ pits all around. Even spots for kids to climb and play

Well I can say in the past Ive spent a lot of time there sorry peeps I was homeless for a couple years still have my struggles but off the streets now in general peeps love to fish there the homeless really dont bother nobody just drop off some sandwiches at the gazebo and you will create some good will and even feel good at heart alot of families there

Nice place playground is kind of small it has the mcdonalds across the street and the pond with a bigger playground across the street.

Ok park nothing to wave a stick at there is no bathroom there so if you go there make sure you dont have to use one.

They should change the name of this park to Compassion park. Ive been in the area for over 30 years and every family that has a missing relative or is homeless or what ever the reason is that they are displaced can be found passing through this park. The #Dream Center visits frequently to feed and offer spiritual services to everyone out there and im sure they are not the only ones. Ive seen many other organizations out there but im not too familiar with the names. Everyone out there is some ones loved one, someones brother, sister, mom, dad, grandma ,grandpa, aunt or uncle. So next time you are at this park its not a scary park just people trying to survive and they are human and just want love. Anyhow...I love this park. I take my sis, nieces and nephews, and cousins here. Theres good time to be had here if your not afraid of human contact

Its a local park. Everybody who needs to relax and enjoy are free to. Dont worry about the junkies and bums. Handle yourself. If they messing with you, like bothering, its cuz you one of them or being judgmental. The park is public. As for the police, they showed up in 5 minutes. The CPS and DES are across the street. Theres signs all over the inside of the building warning people about getting out of control. What yall need to do is get involved in the community, if you think its that bad.

Theres usually a bunch of trash every where. Sometimes theres people telling and screaming at others. The pigeons make it hard to enjoy the day especially if you have good around.

The pictures on here are completely misleading. The park is split in half by Bethany Home Rd. On the north side is a broken down park with sand filled with all sorts of trash and on the south side of the park is a SMALL fountain that is over ran by homeless people.

Very peaceful. Several different species of waterfowl. .

It had nice kids playground equipment not the best but nice. Playground is shaded. There is pinic tables thats shaded. There is restrooms near by (but we didnt use so dont know their quality). Pinic tables are spread throughout without shade. Theres two benches right by playground. Lots of grass area. A small lake with a foundtain in it and ducks. Theres a few benches around the lake. I assume theres fish as people were fishing. It is not in the best area so it isnt the cleanest. Wish playground had a little more equipment and more benches around the equipment however there are two swings and two slides with a small rock climbing wall and three drums. I think if the area was better would get more stars. The parting lot isnt big but its big enough for how often its used for now. I would give it 3.5 stars.

I love this place, good place to sit down and enjoy the fountain in the middle. I tried fishing but didnt get a bite, thats the bad side of it.

The homeless have taken over this park. Also creepy guys just standing around near the parking lot. Too bad because years ago it was a nice place to walk around and to bring the family.

We went fishing here and caught a HUGE CATFISH it was fun and other park goers were very nice and willing to share stories and bait lol

Its a really nice park, it really is. However, if you want to go fishing their, dont. Theres something in the water that has been killing the fish. Theres dead fish everywhere in the pond

This place smells awful. Dead fish floating on the water is a very bad sign. Go at your own risk.

At times, a few down trodden individuals are present, but they are almost always respectful, and dont cause any troubles. Park is large, with a state-stocked fishing pond, water fountains, drinking fountains, mens and womens bathrooms in good repair, modern playground equipment and A FREAKIN JET AIRPLANE! Not many parks can boast that. See for yourself. Thumbs up.

Bonsall Park is a nice place to visit if you prefer a cement walking/biking path. This surrounds a large pond that has a fountain in the middle of it. It is also home to ducks. There is a nice, colorful playground for children. There are public restrooms.

If this park didnt have a lake and a playground it wouldnt even be a park and be a bunch of grass where people sleep at its basically an outside urban camping area but I love Urban campers they are the greatest!

Went there to play Pokemon go but to many people asking for a cigarette or change, made me feel uneasy being there. If you dont mind people you might like it.

Love this park. Wish they would have festivals and activities at this park. Plenty of parking and green grass to roam and relax.

Tried to take my daughter to the park to feed the birds and when we got there. There was trash everywhere and homeless people all over the tables and on benches by the pond

First off. If I could rate this park, it would be a minus 5 star park. Dirty and disgusting bathrooms. Homeless people not picking up after themselves. Drug use and alcohol consumption. This park use to be a good place to go with the kids. The city of Glendale needs to close it down or have police continuously patrol it. We all know that is not going to happen. Thats just the way ghetto people act. My advice is to not bring your kids. There are better parks out there.

Glendale Arizona was my childhood home and come back and see so much trash and dead fish and ducks is sad. I remember being 5-10 years old and buying bread from Food City to feed the ducks and now most of the ducks look sick and some are dead and lying in the trash nearby the pond. To make it worse, when I was younger, the pond looked green and smelt bad. Today its beyond worse than that! I came back to Glendale, especially this area because I wanted my children to grow up in the same place where I grew up. I wanted my husband to see the place that I call home and this park brings back nothing but good memories of me being young walking with my mom and my dad holding their hands with my baby brother. I wanted to do that too with my children and bring them to this park and bring those same traditions that I once had with my parents. But the condition of this park has worsen throughout the years that Ive been gone. City of Glendale please clean up this park! I dont mind the homeless, they need a place to relax from the hot heat and the park offers plenty of trees with good shade!

Its an older park with lots of shade (because of the large Trees) this is wonderful, the restrooms I would stay clear of because they tend to be a transient pit stop. Other than that its a beautiful park for picnics or bbqs...can get a little busy on the weekends ;)

Great Park if it werent for all the homeless.

We always just go to the Handball courts. Havent been to the pond area in a very long time... The only thing I dont like is the random drunks that approach everyone. I was sitting at the bleachers by the Handball courts watching my boyfriend play and this random guy that smelled horribly of alcohol approached me and sat right in front of me knocking our water bottles down and kept yelling at the guys playing handball. I dont mind the homeless people, they usually sit and sleep by the tables without really bugging anyone. Wouldnt recommend this as a nice family park to hang out or hold family events at though...

Its an alright little place, sure is dirty now though. And the island type area was closed off now.

Great access to decent outdoor racquetball courts. Decent facilities. But almost ruined and made seriously unattractive be hordes of transients, homeless and riff-raff.... The best thing here would be a fence and hours of operation. This could be a real gem if this one issue could be resolved. Use as a de facto homeless shelter just isnt compatible with its function as a public park.
