Small but very interesting museum about neon signs. A lot about the history of neon but they are showcasing modern neon artists too.And they even have a workshop, where you can learn how to make your own neon art ^_^At the kinetic arts exhibition right now you can press a lot of red buttons and wait for things to happen...... ;-)

I like this place a lot! It only has one large gallery, so its hard to give it five stars. But it has a great collection of neon, both old signs from around Los Angeles and new creations by artists. Other museums would benefit greatly by having display cards as clear and informative as the ones here.

Definitely very small place, based on the pictures online we thought the museum was at least 3 times the size, many visitors were trying to find out if there was another level or another room.It is an open space with neon antiques and some newer pieces, cool thing to see and take pictures of.Our total time in the museum was barely 10 mins. Admission was $10 per person.

Kinda neat and unique, in that they have some classic neon signs and some innovative art. But beyond that, its weak as museums go. Very small (basically one room), and although the one room is very well done and nice, its HIGHLY overpriced. $10 per person is steep even by Los Angeles standards for such a small, quick look. $3, or even free admission, would be more appropriate considering the size and time spent there.

Neat little place. Inexpensive. We went to LA to visit family and found this spot. As locals they were not aware of it. So it was neat to find something that even they didnt know about. I recommend it. It neat little hole in the wall type place but has a lot of neat things to see. The dragon from the Chinese theater was my favorite.

Waste of time and money. It was one tiny room with not many signs and you couldn’t take any pictures either— my party and I were probably there for like three minutes before leaving and then boom $40 down the drain. It isn’t awing or extraordinary in any way shape or form, while I appreciate the work and effort put in by the artists, the overall museum is incredibly underwhelming. I do NOT recommend, go spend your well earned money elsewhere.

This is the place if you are a fan of neon. Small but awesome place, so you won’t need a lot of time to enjoy. The gallery is one large dark room, darkness allows the colorful and dynamic collections to shine. I think the cost is pricey for a such small museum, but if you want to receive unique experience its worth that.

If you are in Glendale, you should be spend an hour at the MONA. Great selection of neon signs, including the famous Brown Derby sign. The museum is small, but it was just enough! When you leave you will see how many places still use neon sign and its becoming trendy. The Neon signs are simply stunning up close and worth a good look. The museum isnt very large, but you absolutely get your moneys worth, especially if youre a resident of Glendale. They also do bus tours, and it is on my list of things to do.

If you are a fan of neon, this is the place. The saved neon from stores, gas stations, car dealers and other locations are bright and illuminated for your pleasure. It is a step back into the early days--now most signs are plastic with bulbs behind them--nothing can compare with the beauty and craftsmanship of authentic neon. Its a great place to visit.

If you absolutely love neon signage this is the place for you. If youre not sure if thats you...you will probably not feel it was worth the price as its basically just one large (the size of a small conference room at an airport hotel, not a warehouse) room with old neon hotel/bar signs.Gift shop has a few neat items and watching someone creating neon tubes was interesting - but doesnt require paying admission.

M.O.N.A. or Museum Of Neon Art is a nice little pit stop of an activity. The museum is small but depending on your interests it is worth the 45 minutes or so youll spend there. I recommend that you visit M.O.N.A at night because the neon signs are better displayed with a dark background. It also appears that some of the neon exhibits are on loan, so you might see different signs when you visit. Adult tickets are $10.00. if youre not a Glendale resident.

We walked by and were super intrigued by the idea of a museum of neon art so we decided to go check it out. Seeing the old neon signs was really cool, but be aware that the museum is really just 1 large room. Glendale residents get a discount so the tickets are only $5, but if we had to pay the full $10 price we would have been slightly disappointed. They do rotate the signs that are on display a couple times a year. Overall, its definitely worth checking out if youre already going to the Americana mall across the street.

Eh. I personally wasnt aware this place required admission, but fortunately I was part of a group and my admission was complimentary. Personally I love art but this particular place is a bit small in my opinion in regards to actually having patrons pay admission to enter. There were only a handful of exhibits which in their defense were kind of cool but were nothing to write home about. I suppose if youre a neon sign enthusiast and youre near Glendale or happen to be in the area this is your spot, otherwise I think one can do without this place...

I would give this fewer stars, but I cant hate on a little museum. Honestly, the best parts are the signs outside (the diver and Claytons signs) and in the lobby. The lobbys shop is almost bigger than the gallery. The actual gallery is small, dark, and was just glass art with plasma the day I came. The exhibit does change though.

MONA is a really cool and down to earth museum. One of the reasons why I enjoy MONA is because of neon art. Neon signs are not common nowadays for businesses for many reasons, so I am glad MONA has taken the initiative to recognize neon lighting because there is no where else that I would want to go and see neon art. In a town known for its shopping culture, the museum of neon art is a welcome breath of cultural air. It has potential at least. No bigger than most galleries in LA, it packed in a lot of interesting historical California artifacts. I didnt mind handing over a little more than I thought appropriate ($10) for a one room attraction because there is nothing like this anywhere in Glendale. Give them a visit, take some cool pictures and help support something that makes that city unique.
