Love this theater, and thank you for opening. Many theaters out there dont have the stones to do it. Their onions will magically reappear once new movies are released and they expect crowds back. Glen Art will keep my business.

Digital projection was good but audio was too quiet & not balanced throughout theater. Dont go here if you care about a quality movie viewing experience. Floor was sticky, seats were dirty, and bathrooms were old and icky. Disappointing for a charming downtown theater!

Two of the three times Ive been here and the theater has obviously not been cleaned before the movie, with popcorn and spilled drinks on the floor - not a little messy, but absolutely filthy. I am willing to ignore it once, but this is apparently a repeat issue. On the positive side there are no real problems with picture or sound, the theater has good prices, and is in close proximity to some very good restaurants.

We always enjoy going to the Glen art because it tends to have movies that weve just missed more local to us. The theaters arent the nicest, but we dont go for the seats, we go for the movies. They only take cash, but its not really a problem if you remember that. Its a great theater to keep on your list when youre looking to go out.

I love the vintage theater and the prices are wonderful. They play first run movies too, which you cant say for other discount theaters. They only lose 1 star because it was absolutely freezing in our theater. It was the first show of the day mid week so maybe they didnt expect customers but still, it was December, after all

If you are looking for the cinema experience that you grew up with 20 years ago this is the place. This is a quaint theater with the old fashioned seating, smaller theaters but also cheaper prices on both tickets and concessions. Ive been to a few of these classic cinemas in the Chicago area and this one could use a bit of a refresh, but still an enjoyable experience.

We had a terrible experience there tonight. We were the ONLY people in the theater and it was freezing cold. We asked the person working there who said he was the manager to turn up the heat twice. He said he did but it was still freezing cold. First he said it was an old building and it would take a long time to heat up. I was so cold that I had a big coat on, a coat over my lap and was drinking a hot drink to try to stay warm. I got a sore throat in there it was so cold. So we finally told the manager that we had to leave because it was too cold to stay. He refused to give us our money back. He then refused to turn up the heat. As I said, first he said that it was an old building and it would take a long time to heat up. Then he changed his story and said if he turned up the heat the OTHER people would be uncomfortable. I reminded this guy that WE were the ONLY people there !!! Then he made the ridiculous comment that if he turned up the heat that the people TOMORROW would be too warm. He just didnt want to turn up the heat because we were the only ones there and didnt care that I was freezing. He was acting like a total jerk and just wanted to give us a hard time. My friend told him that hes been going to that theater for over 20 years and the manager could have cared less. So we didnt get to see the movie, we didnt get a refund and he wouldnt turn up the heat. I will NEVER go there again as long as that manager is there. Its an old cold theater with a disgustingly rude manager who is too cheap to turn on the heat and doesnt care that the customers are extremely uncomfortable.

We love it! Our family doesnt go to movies unless its playing at this Theatre. It has everything: its in a pretty town, with parking, next to the coffee shoppe, yummy popcorn... The seats are fine. Its exactly what were looking for in a movie outing: the whole family can go for $20, no lineups, no fuss. Its perfect!

Cute little movie theater in the lovely downtown Glen Ellyn. Despite the small selection, they are always showing new and relevant films. Theaters are the classic set up.It gives you the feel of back in the day where you can just walk in and go see a movie without having to plan ahead and reserve seats, nor pay a ton! Earlier in the day they have discounts too.Staff is friendly and helpful. Plus, a classic little concession stand! Overall, a wonderful time.

This vintage theater in downtown Glen Ellyn is a great value and always shows the movies youll want to see. Matinees are $5, even on weekends. Parking is available in city lots for a minimal amount. There is three hour free parking on the street. It is near several restaurants and coffee shops. This is not a rerun house. Ill be going there today to see a new release.

It is a gem! With the new digital picture and sound systems, the viewings are always good, but the best thing is its location. You can have dinner at an interesting restaurant and see a movie, or see a movie and have a coffee or a beer afterward, all within a couple of pedestrian-friendly blocks.

We have been going to the Glen for years. They always have an interesting selection of movies, a charming atmosphere, and it has a great little downtown location. Ive always noticed the same manager working the booth but never had much interaction with him. At our last outing to the Glen, one of my children became very sick. This man was so kind to us and completely non- judgmental of the mess we made in his theater, he was genuinely concerned that my baby was okay and even allowed us to come back so she could see her movie all the way through. I will ALWAYS choose the Glen over the big generic fancy theaters that are cropping up all over. Good people work here and have contributed a wonderful little gem in our community, we are so grateful to have this theater and look forward to many, many more films in the future!
