Staff was in a hurry to move me along. Played the golf course a total of 4 times over 2 years. Each time offered a new lesson on what passes for etiquette on the golf course! While it does have a few nice, challenging holes, the majority is pretty wide open. Not that, thats a bad thing but it tends to invite owners of errant tee shots into your fairway. Most Saturday mornings are impossible to get a tee time for. Seems to always be an outing the staff tells me over the phone. Ive even had a tee time cancellation due to an outing which the staff member not only failed to mention but also failed to advise me prior to my arrival. THE CARTS need updated!! During a ride up the hill on #10, my entire bag seemed to fall right off the back despite the strap. That was an embarrassing walk back down the cart path! Im all for the use of speakers in groups when its at respectful levels but when its the greens staff and theyre using their speaker for phone calls AT YOUR TEE BOX, arguing with whom ever while displaying ZERO interest in either your level of comfort while teeing off or their job for that matter! It makes it difficult to look past. Every golfer has that round where they Feel like the mowing staff is actually following them! Its next level at MCC!!! Complete with eye contact and perfect timing! Impressive really! FOOD IS USUALLY GOOD THOUGH!! Free most times too! There have been some occasional cool playing partners whove shared in the moments. The first time shot my all time low ways here!!

Decent course for the area. The clubhouse is new and looks very nice inside.

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The food could use some work tho. The chicken was dry and the rice had no taste. Other than that a great environment and beautiful atmosphere.

The function we had was great. The building itself was horrific. The ceiling was leaking, the windows was nasty, and the bathrooms were cold and out dated. I cant wait until our church get our own venue.

Played the front nine. Nice easy layout. Greens were in good shape. Bunkers needed some work. Or just avoid them!

Attended a wedding there. The outside temp was over 90, but inside it was very cool. The food was great.

They do a fantastic job with large banquets.

This place looks like it should be condemned. The bathrooms are disgusting and super cold. I remember when ppl had to pay a few thousand dollars to be a member of a country club. I wouldnt even give my spare change to be a member of this dump.

I attended a wonderful wedding here yesterday. It was beautifully decorated, the staff was present without being intrusive, the food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. Tricky timing with a chicken dinner buffet, as there was no EXACT time to serve, based on photos being taken, etc...but it was juicy, tasty and perfect. The details were met, I was there an hour early and it was all set up with no last minute craziness. WELL DONE! Highly recommended.

Course should not be classified as a country club. Greens are the worst kept greens Ive played. You literally cant land the ball on the green. It will just bounce 15 ft in the air and off the green. Would not recommend this course

Cant beat the cost with the quality of the greens fairways could improve but far better than paying premium

My experience at mahoning country club was excellent as always, I go there often , and have never had a bad experience !! And their restaurant, The ALBATROSS , will be opening soon , theres nothing bad on the menu and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions of food that they supply. The atmosphere, service, and experience is highly recommended !!

Wedding in red Room on a Friday in June. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty and hot. Decorations from hall were beautiful. Very reasonable price. Very satisfied and would recommend consideration for your next event.

Went to the best kept secret in Girard. The Albatross Bar and Grill inside the Mahoning Country Club. It was great food service twist fast and super friendly. Atmosphere was fantastic with a view of the golf course. I will definitely return again and again.

I was disappointed in the decor .i would have thought that it would have been more fancy .and cleaner.the staff was great.the food that was served was ok.some food was over buttered.but overall.was good.the restrooms were clean and well stocked

My husband and I had our reception there October 15th and it was AMAZING! Sue helped us so much throughout the entire process and she was so easy to work with. She truly knows what she is doing and made the hall look beautiful. The food was amazing and all of the guests loved the food and the way the hall looked! The best part about it is that their prices are so reasonable! Thank you so much to everyone there that helped make our reception the best!!

Mon. 12/12 . Our group was the only one in the dining room. The room has a beautiful fireplace, but non-working. It was quite chilly back there. The food was just ok, but the baked potatoes were not cooked long enough, so were hard. The waitress was very attentive to us. It is an advantage to be able to park close to the building now.

Was here for a wedding and the place is gorgeous. Its a little hard to get to, especially considering the recent construction on the highway. But outside is very pretty, and inside was very well organized and decorated. The service people were all very pleasant to interact with. Overall I would recommend this venue for others events, weddings, receptions, etc. Just remember to give detailed directions, because cell phone GPSs led many people astray who werent familiar with the area.

Was just here for a wedding reception. The food and workers were fine. But they refused to put the air conditioner on and it was miserably hot all night.

Golf there many times during the year course conditions are generally well kept not a very hard course to play, the par 3s are the key to scoring, greens are small but can be challenging, fees are well in line with the course you play, nicely remodeled club house with bar and good food.

It used to be a private course years ago, but now it is open to the public.the course is in good condition, open all year weather permitting.there is a banquet hall for receptions, a bar and restaurant.i have heard the food is very good.
