Pretty quiet and secluded. You could park your car and eat breakfast or lunch while you watch the beauty of water and sky..Not enough parking space(less 1 star) & just one seating area(seats 4)

I loved this trail. I should have looked at the map at the trailhead closer before I started. I was warned that the numbers of the trails arent geographically lined up, but merely the order of construction. They do a good job of identifying easy, medium, and hard trails.

The trail stewards are doing a great job at maintaining the trail lately, its in great shape. I like loops 1-6 if I feel like taking it easy, if I feel like more of a challenge, Ill go on loop 7 and further. Which way(s) to go on loop 7 can be a little confusing for first timers, its a good idea to go with someone who is already familiar with the trail. To get to loop 8 and higher, you have to take loop 1A which the entrance to is a little bit steep both down and up, but not too bad. Great trail system with plenty of mileage, very nice and scenic especially during spring and summer.

Great trail! It could use a little organic maintenance to enhance the surrounding nature. Other than this, it feels pretty cool like youre wondering in the woods.

It was my first time biking there and the place is nice but it needs more signs to direct you. I went on loop 1 and I could find how to return. It took me to a little street and there was no signs to tell me to take left or right and where to enter again. But it was a fun experience.

Its a pretty area, definitely in need of sidewalks for little kids to ride bikes, baby strollers, roller blading, elderly people who like to take walks. It needs some TLC, like White Rock. It totally would make that areas property values rise!

Trail was good for a fairly easy hike. Trail markers show hiking one way and biking the other...wish there was a marker at the beginning. As of 8/8 the last 2 loops are closed due to sewer repair which means the remaining its about 4 miles.

Great trail. Easy to walk, even for me. Im 53 and have back and heart issues.. My sister and I, felt safe and will definately be coming back... The only issue I had with this trail, is the trash that was in the creek. I truly hope it can be cleaned up. ( I have more pictures, and will add as soon as I upload from my camera)

I take my scouts here often to hike or to do trail bike-rides. Ive even taken a kids bike trailer that I towed and it fit in all the trails. This is important because while I had an 11 year old passing off his scouting requirements, I couldnt leave my 2 year old at home so he rode along with me in the bike trailer. And the trails were wide enough for it. There were a few difficult spots but for the most part, trailer friendly. Our Scout Troop was also responsible for clearing the trash in 2013.Update: 5/10/2017: Even after all the rain and flooding a few months ago, the trails are still very hike-able. There were also a lot of trail-bikers there tonight. I love this place, lots of trails and still well maintained. It was a great evening to hike tonight.Another thing, Ive been here several times and have even cleaned up by picking up trash but tonight was the firs time I saw a snake, 2 of them in fact. I didnt know nor even think of having snakes there.

Shady paths, interesting tree forms, wildlife and more await you at Rowlett Creek Nature preserve. Located right off Centerville Road just off Firewheel, this Nature preserve was quite an enjoyable hike. Our group took the loop 1 trail. This is also a DORBA trail and has quite a few bumps and even a spring loaded ramp. The trail is winding and shady with lots of interesting tree-forms remaining after some of the older trees had died. The paths are fairly easy and many of the exposed tree roots are smoothed over so someone with a jog stroller or a sturdy wheelchair could traverse these trails. The parking is great, with lots of shade trees so your car stays cool in the heat. There is a handicapped porta potty and a gazebo and plenty of picnic tables for a rest and bite after the hike or bike ride is over. Total trail miles hiked: 1.62Miles.

Has the potential to be fabulous. Contains several serene paths with ample shade and though there were 8 cars in the lot, I only passed 2 people while out for 5 miles.Heres the bad - the preserve is treated like a dump. Theres not a single place on the trail (or off trail) where you wont see garbage. Its disgusting, disappointing, and takes away from being in nature.

The park itself is beautifully done. Theres a childrens playground, pier to fish from, and a place to fly a kite or a prop plane/drone. Theres even a designated area for small remote controlled boats. Bring your hot dogs and hamburgers as well. Several grilling areas with picnic tables are available.Walk along the nature trail or bicycle if you would rather. Theres a dirt trail exclusively for bicycling. If you are very lucky, you might catch some turtles hanging out by the old cement damn by the old camp grounds which are now closed to the public. I was fortunate enough to see a great horned owl, screech owl, red eared turtles, armadillo, egret, a couple of wood ducks, and a family of racoons.Unfortunately, people are leaving garbage behind when they leave. Please people, give a hoot and dont pollute our Earth. We only have one!

This is a great trail for the adventurous cyclist. Night biking events are popular. Ive seen bikes of many types from singlespeeds and clunkers to complicated full suspension race bikes. Well we made mistake of going when it was muddy and trail was closed but on way out, our dog almost stepped on this....a copperhead! Werent really able to get far on hike to know whether we wouldve liked it; but this will give us pause for future just because of how high grasses are and dont want to risk something coming out and nowhere to go because trails are pretty narrow.

Great trails for family but stay to the right on green trails or the dudes in tight spandex will run you over . I wouldnt take my 9 yr old girl on the blue trails. There are portable bathrooms so you can do your business and a water hose to rinse off your bike. Its peaceful on the trails !
