My family has known Joe Kulis since the 90s (my relatives owned a store next door). He has always done amazing work, and might be one of the best in the nation. His method of freeze drying is iconic. I remember when he had that fishing show on local TV, too. The good ol days. Whenever someone wants an excellent job, I always refer them to Kulis.He has passed on his knowledge to new ownership. They carry the exceptional torch now.

The taxidermy done here is museum quality. I had a large King Salmon completed and it was beautifully done from the posing to the painting. Highly recommended.

Just tried to pick up a large order for my park district in central Ohio. I will be making it my personal mission to find another taxidermist for us to use, as the service was beyond horrible. I was yelled at, accused of lying about my identy (I had my park ID and offered to show it, but the owner refused to look at it), demeaned and degraded. I have picked items up here in the past and no one was ever particularly friendly, but this time the treatment was beyond the pale. I was even forced to call my co worker on her day off, on her personal cell, so she could confirm that I was who I said I was. My coworker has never been there, so Dont ask me how they knew I wasnt calling just any random person, if I was indeed the taxidermy thief they thought!! I reminded them that I had called three days ago to let them know Id be coming, and all seemed to be in order at that time, but the owner continued to scream at me and tell me that I just didnt understand. She finally stormed in back, then out of the store, leaving a slightly more polite younger woman to finish waiting on me. She mentioned that they had a bad morning, but I cannot think of a single thing that would excuse treating a customer that way. I work for a customer service organization Id be fired for treating someone the way I was treated.Thank god for the internet-- Im sure we can patronize someone else in the future.
