Im a fan of state parks; they are beautiful, clean and well maintained. This park is good too. Plenty of parking space including parking for handicapped, a small beach and a loop trail. Because of bacteria in water these days people are being asked not to go near the water as its unsafe for everyone including pets. You can however enjoy Picnic Area and trail.

I went Dunn State Park with friends. Nice place to spent hot summer day. Lovely place and the best thing was many people were their with families enjoying the scenic view , swimming and coolness. Some were reading, relaxing and chatting with friends. Enjoyed my time there. View was beautiful

A beautiful piece of nature. The trail is 3/4 of a mile from start to finish. Beautiful views as well as a little bit of peace. Definitely worth the trip.

Jean and I have driven by Dunn State Park hundreds of times and we finally decided to stop and visit to see what was there. The park is manicured and very clean with waste barrels scattered everywhere, so theres no excuse to leave trash on the ground or tables. The number of picnic tables are scattered and there are well over 30 which during the summer season are pretty much used. Charcoal BBQs are plentiful so bring briquettes, fluid and a handful of Hotdogs. We decided to walk the long trail and glad we did. The trail circles the swimming lake (No swimming available off season), with exercise stations along the walk. The health stops range from youngster to adult challenge and are fun to try. Our walk ended at the parking lot where we stayed and drove home. A big thumbs up for Dunn PARK. P.S. during the regular season, there is an admission charge.

A great little park. In season there is a fee at this park but it is open year round. A visitor center with restrooms is usually open during hours all year. Dunn pond has some wonderful hiking trails through the woods and around the pond accessible year-round. When in season there is swimming, picnicking with BBQ pits at many of the tables. And from my understanding you can bring your kayak or canoe to paddle around this small but wonderful pond.

I love bringing the kids here for some summer fun. You do have to pay for parking usually, but during the current pandemic it doesnt seem like you have to. The lake is pretty clean, and mostly smooth and flooring with only the occasional rock to step on in pain haha. I have not encountered any lake boulders though, which is nice! There is a well kept building for changing and bathroom usage. The ice cream truck does stop here. There are a couple of slides for the kids, one better fit for the toddlers (always nice). Overall, my favorite park with lake.

This is a good park. The trails were long and fun with exercise stations. They had a mini beach but the water is cold. They have picnic tables with grills. There are a forest area and a grassy field area in the trail. The cost is 8$

Its very nice, quiet place to take the kids and family to swim. I DO NOT like that they will lovk the gates at 8pm even if they see your car still there with no warning. Being a mother with an autistic child who loves to swim it is not always easy to get out on time even if I start trying to get Holm to go early. Other than that it would be 5 stars.

We had to get out of the house!!! We decided to come here with our 4 year old because we knew they had trails that would be perfect for him. We went out to talk to some ice fisherman and then took a nice hike thru the woods. It was a really great couple of hours in the fresh air. Perfect place to go with small children any time of year!

Great Fishing, swimming, grills and picnic tables, updated playgrounds, plenty of trails, and excersize spots.Clean facilities. Very scenic. Lots of wild life. Also added Bonus Pokemon Go stops and Gyms!

Interactions with employees are always pleasant and I never felt like any staff member couldnt answer my questions. Great park, great swimming, clean trails and picnic areas.

I grew up near this park and while I was in the area we decided it was perfect for a mini picnic and it was just that!

Clean, fun. Great waterfront. Whats not to like? Even during the cooler months the park remains tidy. 2 playgrounds for kids as well as a trail dotted with fitness stations. Very nice.

Great local place to walk trails. Nothing too hard to walk. Water has swimming during summer hours, but never liked the water quality.

Beautiful park and relaxing! Great for familys and kids! You can bring your dog in the picnic area. Not allow in the swimming area. Excellent customer service! Near to stores and restaurants. Good location. We enjoy ourselves!

I am blessed; I live close to this gorgeous park!This park is very clean and beautiful . Swimming barbecueing and trails. The trail loops around the water and there are some very quaint hideaways within. Amenities: restrooms, small playground, equipment throughout the trails ! These are not available during covid, porta potties available. You could spend the whole day. There are plenty of shady spots. Fee is waved during the pandemic this year 2020.

Dunns State Park is the same place as Heritage State Park, it was always known as Dunns State Park or some people would just say Dunns when referring to this Park, then the name changed and it started to be refered to as Heritage State Park, but whatever name you call this Park one thing is clear , its a beautiful place to enjoy whether its swimming in Dunns pond or walking the hiking trails .

Very clean. During this time they are doing everything they can to make sure everyone stays healthy. For example closing off the playgrounds, no picnic tables, and also making the trails one way.

Very beautiful area. Went for a birthday party and we got to BBQ near the water. It was very clean and people around us were friendly. Would definitely go back. Found a bunch of lady slipper flowers while there too!

Great peaceful park in a quiet part of the city. I suggest going between labor day and memorial day when DCR isnt there so you can park for free.

This is a gorgeous state park. Hiking trails you can bring your dog on, ice skating, barbecuing, playground for kids, its clean, quiet and beautiful. I give it two stars because the pond for swimming is absolutely disgusting!! I cant believe people actually swim there. My husband and I couldnt get the stink off our bodies and our bathing suits. Even our towels which all we did was wrap around our bodies had a foul sickening stench

Wonderful park. i got here early my first visit and used a gill and a skillet to make breakfast. Th got a nice walk around the pond. Well maintained.

A perfect combination of beach and forest! A well kept, accessible swimming area with lifeguards and plenty of sand makes a fun summertime visit, while hiking trails and an exercise course brings you back year round. A great place!

Very nice walking path. At one point there are some stairs and they are a little steep (like a foot high), but other than that it was nice. There are a few random benches along the way so you can sit back and enjoy the view.At the entrance there are a ton of picnic travels and grill to use. A couple small play areas (mainly for younger kids). And a nice little marked off swimming area with life guards.There is a fee to come in, but Im not really sure how it works because we were coming in as the gate attendant was leaving and she told us not to worry about it.

Best park around for swimming. They have grill and picnic areas too so you can bring food and make a whole day of it. My kids love the fishing and playground areas too, always clean and very well maintained. For seven dollars a carload you can’t go wrong.

8$ for parking (10 for non ma plates), the park its self is free and well maintained, clean rest rooms and changing rooms, friendly staff and of corse swimming, playground (small) and hiking. It gets quit busy during the summer, so expect a crowd of fun loving familys.

Great place to bring your children and family fir picnics swimming fishing .they have a walking trail around it. And boats to rent little ones think maybe still paddle boats too maybe ..ones u peddle..but nice little beach..and a little park with swings and slides and jungle gym...and trails right around that area for the kids to run around like they are in the woods but its cut n made that way from people walking has made a little camping place for bbcues..they have them there little old medal ones they work need coal n u good .. not usually too many people sometimes if go during peak season and its hot out. Lot people not a huge place

This is a great place to take the kids to burn off that extra energy they got!!! Or to take a walk with your love! You can swim fish or walk the trails... Great place to spend the day.. Oh yea they have a grilling area too!

Lovely place to spend an afternoon. The mile loop around the pond is well maintained and easy going.

Indoor bathrooms/showers, picnic tables & grills. Patio big enough to host events like birthday parties. This lake really does have it all for a PERFECT day outdoors with the family!

Went there with my friend who has a wheelchair. They have available a beach wheelchair as well as a water wheelchair. We were very impressed. A great experience was had by all!

Beautiful setting. The breeze was awesome. We rented the pavillion for our granddaughters 6th Birthday party. Only downfall was you carry in you carry out. For almost $200 for the day you would think you would get a little more than the facilities and a grill. When the other state parks that I researched and the day was taken they were only $65 for the day.

Great place.

First time there. The park is nice with lots of shaded areas to have a picnic. They have a covered pavilion that you can rent for group functions. Small Beach area for swimming. The restroom could be cleaner but it was the 4th and the park was crowded so the restroom was getting used alot.

Its a great place to take your children for a picnic. I wouldnt suggest swimming because of the near yearly bacteria spike that happens in those brown waters. as far as hiking, quality playgrounds and family fun four stars!!

I like that there is a small playground sort of strewn about in between picnic tables w/ outdoor grills for public use, a swimming area/beach and a somewhat hilly semi rugged trail that circles the entire pond. Good place for small children.

Great atmosphere for the kids. But its amateur hour for fishing.. can usually be pretty packed too.. I bring the kids there to let off energy and to hike around the park. Never to swim.

A great place to walk, fish, barbeque with family and friends

Dunns pond is a 30-45 minute hike with mild moderate hills, some with stairs. The park has been upgraded and has new health stations for push up, climbing, balance. They also have a new pavilion that can hold a good size event. This is a great place to explore nature.

I went back a2nd time. Grat park. Himing trails were beautiful. Pond swimming was great. I know you had nothing to do with the weather, but it sure felt like it. Great time.
