This is a great venue for seeing concerts. They get good bands coming through as well as local bands. They also have variety shows that are fun to see. Its also nice because the is good art on the walls there.However, it can get really really hot in there, so if youre going, dress appropriately.

Love this venue! We usually come here for the Red Light Variety Show and always enjoy the atmosphere. The VAC has awesome art work and a great bar with some of the best bartenders. Always a great time here.

High entertainment value.Unique experience. The displayed art is both conversational and thoughtful. I love seeing shows here and they get great bands! Good stiff drinks too, served by cool people. Love the atmosphere and intimacy. The acoustics however I find to be lacking. I saw Black Mountain there last night and the sound was all mashed together like leftover Thanksgiving potatoes. Maybe local artists could come up with something to help out.

I had a great time. There was room for lots of people and for dancing.They could certainly add some fans to aid in circulation. But other than that it is really a fine place to gather and have a good time.

I recently went there to watch a Frankly Burlesque production and it was great. The atmosphere was positive and everyone had an enjoyable time. The staff are friendly and there is space to move around and not feel like a sardine in a can, which is rare to find these days. It did get a little warm during the performance but you have to expect that with hundreds of people in a room. They also had free water which was a major bonus.

Had a super fun time at the Burlesque show January 16! Very entertaining and a lot of talented dancers!

Fun little venue for a variety of shows and art in Garden City. Good sound system and atmosphere. Little on the warm side when its a packed house on a hot summer day. They host a variety of different shows so there is always something for someone.

Nice small venue for concerts and events. Generally good sight lines. Efficent bartenders. Rumors are the womens toilets plug easily. Thus only 4 stars.

Walkable to/from several independent breweries and wineries. I took a star off for indecently long wait times at the bar and no garbage cans or TP in the girls’ room. Will return.

Fun multipurpose venue and arts center. Great acoustics and the house sound was nice perfectly, not all blown out and too loud like most venues. Serves alcohol. Beautiful wooden beam trusses. Cleanest bathrooms of any venue I have ever seen in 20+ years of concerts.

Was there for the Pinto Bennett & Famous Motel Cowboys reunion. Parking was packed as was the venue but plenty of room to roam in. Great food truck, limited beer & cocktail choices but it worked out well enough. Great place to catch a show.

The VAC remains one of Boises best kept secret. I was there to see a play by Alley Repertory Theater. It was another superb production directed by the great Buffie Main, and overall just a great evening!

The VAC is a local treasure. They support the arts while being discriminating about which events they host. Its a small venue, so there is never a bad seat in the house. The bartenders are fast and friendly; the drinks are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend the VAC.

Great venue for smaller shows, sound is usually very good. Some shows are very adult. Full bar with decent prices and selection. Outside porch allows smoking. What more could you want?!?

The show was exileratingly entertaining the host just blew my mind. His outfit was outta this world. The venue is perfect, and I would recommend this Burlesque show as a must see my cafe Americano was delicious. Thank you VAC for my experience of a life time.

We love everything about this place. The plays, the art, the burlesque shows (The Red Light Variety Show), etc. But it is the staff and their amazing attitude that really makes this shine. Great experience everytime.

Great space for performance and art. I would give it 5 stars if the seating was a little better. The chairs arent bad but are set really tight. Other than that loved every show Ive been to here.

One of my favorite art spaces in Boise. This space is very versatile, and they can offer from exhibits from local artists, to performance shows. The space itself has a lot of character.Also, has a decent parking lot next door, and a bar inside.

Good place to take in or create some good local art

Absolutely awesome place! The show I went to was phenomenal and the artwork that you can peruse before, at intermission, and after the show was unique and quite thought provoking. Great atmosphere

The VAC is wonderful. Their support of burlesque is worthy of any attention, but the great drinks, artwork, and easy atmosphere make it a must visit. Sam is badass.

My boyfriend and I like to visit the VAC for their art shows and for the Red Light Variety Show. We always have an awesome time there and its just a really cool place, amazing art hangs all over the wall there, heck you even see some interesting pieces left on the walls in the bathrooms. The bartenders are super great and get your drink to you quickly and boy are they strong drinks.
