Galveston is rich with history. This is where they start the Ghost Tours and is a good place to hang out. Rumor has it: this was built above a bural ground. They have tons of orb siting here so check your pictures.

I dont expect much when I come to Galveston, but when I do, its a let down. Dont keep your hopes up for this city.

Its a great little spot to sit and eat or have a beer. Multiple restaurants around it and people drawing charicatures.

Beautiful spot, lots of activities and fun! Gives you that small town nostalgia but not far from so much hustle and bustle. There are movie nights and picture opportunities galore! Not to mention just a plethora of shops both locally owned and some franchises!

I really recommend visiting the galleries and looking up the times for different events in the shops.

Nice tourist place on the strand in Galveston. Boxer shops nearby, restaurants, and bars. He can see the cruise ships here in the passengers loading and unloading from the cruise ships as well. La King confectionery is within walking distance. They have good ice cream and candy.

Heart of the Strand district and dont forget to visit the railroad museum

Not your usual Park. But it has a fantastic history and also has a lot of amenities nearby. A lot of places to sit. Lots of pokestops an Ingress portals.

Never know what you will see when you visit this part of the strand. But if your in galveston you must check out the strand and see if they have anything planned for this area while you are there. Last time they had someone making custom blown glass jewelry. You could watch him as he made it. It was amazing.

Beautiful and fun picture options

Really fun to walk around, visit the little shops, and just explore. We typically visit Saengerfest Park for their monthly free movie in the park after a day at the beach, but our last two experiences have caused us to avoid the area. People do not train their dogs, leave dogs off leash, charge toward dogs that are acting defensive, and many other things. Love the idea, hate the rude people with poor dog etiquette.

Done up very nice for Dickens on the Strand. All round good time.

Nice view of stand and cruise ship departing from upper deck. Not enough employees working. Had to wait awhile to order a drink.

This place has so much energy. Lots of people, live music, places to sit outdoors and have a cold beer or drink.

Went to live music at Saengerfest Park at the strand. We saw the cover band, The Fab Five. They did cover music from The Beatles. Lots of fun. Had dance floor in front of stage. Recommend to bring folding chair if plan on staying a while. Lots of places to buy snacks and drinks.

Great place to enjoy music, food and festivals.

This park is where the Budweiser soundstage is set up for concerts during the Lone Star rally. Its a smaller area than the Seawall soundstage what is a fantastic location given the proximity to the action on the Strand.

This is the other part of Galveston to see besides the beach. All kinds of shops and eateries. Plenty of photo opportunities and small park to sit and watch people go by

This is a great place for photos on the Strand in Galveston. My daughter and I try to take pictures here every time we visit the island. The shops in the area are always fun to visit and some provide a great photo opportunity of their own.

I had soooo much fun. There is a lot of free entertainment and low cost fun for the whole family.

Very chill

Its more of a town square than a park. Its a nice, centrally located square where there always seems to be some tourist activity. They host a lot of outdoor concerts and festivals there. It has a large mural for taking nice selfies. And its in the middle of the downtown Strand area. It has numerous selfie opportunities for those who are more impressed with themselves than where theyre visiting.

This is a fun place for family and friends to hang out. Its smack dab in the middle of downtown strand. Some might say the heart of downtown. Its a happening place when their is a live band, festivals, and during the summer time. They also host fun movie nights free for everyone.

A nice little plaza style park in the historic Strand district in downtown Galveston. I like the giant chess set that is put out for the public to enjoy. A good place to sit and relax while shopping on the Strand. There are live music events here during the various festivals throughout the year. They also do movie nights here in the summertime.

Its a small metro park. Great for a photo op, but theres very little in terms of park.

I love coming here and playing music, singing songs and being a blessing to those walking down Strand St! God is good!!!!

Just a small city park made of mostly concrete and benches to rest. A few small trees and bushes in planters. No biggie.

This was the town square where they hung ppl hundreds of years ago.

We visited here during Mardi Gras. I was surprised how good the Acoustics were in this area. In between buildings and all. Theres a lot of nice places to eat down there. And have a few drinks.
