Nice place to watch the sunset, take a walk or try your luck at fishing.

1st time salt water fishing. Lost the lure i had just purchased due to snagging near bridge but it was a positive first experience. A rest room would be nice though.

Nice place and clean. Fishing was not good there a couple of weeks ago. Lots of activity.

Nice place to relax and fishing. Bring your chair etc etc no restrooms :( but very relax and calm. The people there were friendly.

The fishing is not that great here, but the space and sunset views are really nice to relax and end the day.

Has bathrooms (open @ 8am - 9am), place to coal grill, electric outlet (sometimes works), Pier and boat launch. Got to help keep it clean. Some people keep it messy and sometimes bathrooms are messy to. Careful with bathrooms they get really HOT. Also there is water sport place next door and u get a chance to see ppl do a water hoverboard. Pretty dope.

My family enjoyed being there in want to continue going,nice fishing area,I didn’t take that much picture but I will next time we visit.the lil baby fish had Worms inside so we had to get rid of them.

The ramp is not safe its to high .needs to be a floating piers.

We went night fishing. This is a well lit, clean and family friendly park. We met several families and couples. Fish caught- frog fish, ribbon fish, a large crab and many pin fish. Kids were catching pin fish and delighted.

Ive been fishing here for years. Long before the park was built. Ive always done well catching fish at this spot. Now, i have covered picnic tables, an actual pier, a restroom, and its more lit up for night fishing. Theres plenty of parking, its 24 hrs, and the bait shops are walking distance, if you arent having any luck catching your own bait..Heres the kicker.. Theres no entrance fee, and no cost for parking!!! I wish more people would pick up after themselves. However, when the bite is slow, i take breaks and find some good left behind fishing gear while picking up litter.. So.. My gain... I absolutely Love Lee and Joe Jamail Park!

As far as parking lot/fishing piers go - nice and clean. Well lit. Easy access off the highway to finish casting some bait before heading home.

Took my daughter fishing for her first time here, she caught her first fish here, shell remember her experience here forever.

This place is always clean but busy!

Not really a park. It is nothing more than a boat ramp. We thought it was going to be a real park, perhaps biking, or paddle boats. Not even a bathroom at the place. I had to walk across the street to find an out house. There was plenty of parking though. ️

Tonight was our first try at night fishing. Third try at salt water fishing. We went to the Jamail bay park because wed always seen people there no matter what time. Now we know why. Even late at night the place isnt creepy at all. We had fun, it was relaxing, and we actually caught some things. It was a beautiful night to be sitting outside and now we understand why people like this park so much. It was the first time any of us had seen a needle fish, so that was another first for us.

I have to go back just was to hot on the day I went waiting for friends

There are bathrooms at the end of the docks but the heat will melt your face off. Other than that this is a really nice place to fish. Me and my family used to go here when it was all gravel and dilapitated docks, so I like what they did with the place. All concrete and iron railing. Very nice.

Nice spot. They keep it clean. I’ve seen some huge catches out there too.

It is a clean park for BBQ and fishing. It is suitable for adults more than family. There is no playground for kids.

Free clean boat ramp for entrance to Offatts Bayou. Paved Pier fishing. Paved parking. No public restroom except porta-potties. Nice view of Moody Garden and sunsets. Close to many stores and cheap eating places. Drawbacks- can get a little crowded during weekends and evenings. Some people just cant follow instruction and will fish from the boat ramp area despite clearly marked signs.

This is a very well kept park, that is mainly for fishing. You can definitely see the fish in the water when you come during the day so you know you have a chance of catching something big or perhaps something small. This is also very guarded from the water so it isnt a hassle having to watch little ones because everything is boarded and enclosed in a way where they cant fall in. In the past couple weeks that I have come it has not been crowded. You can definitely throw a bar-b-q and be shaded from the sun, and there are 4 tables under each shade which is good for larger families. The restrooms are well kept and there is a bait shop walking distance from the park. Sunset is beautiful, and the view is just nice in general. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful calm day out fishing.

This made my first boat launching experience feel so much better that it was not too busy and had a very wide open ramp. Because it was right off of the freeway I felt safe leaving my truck here due to constant eyes driving past it preventing idle hands.

Great spot to put your boat in the water at the public ramp in West Bay on 61st St. Nearby to I-45

Fishing and crabbing here doesnt get too crowded like all the other places near the seawall side

Problem is that too many homeless are begging.

Since the tine of the gorgeous restructuring and remodeled. I not only fish here. I dance in the Jamails parking lot every new year for the last two years ! Thank you Jamail family! We love your hard work !!

Galveston is a must see. Its a rare, local beach that hasnt been commercialized to death. Head down to Jamacia Beach, for a more quiet experience. ️

The newly renovated park here looks amazing. Ive been coming to Galveston for 30 years and have to say this is the nicest Ive seen this park. Super clean appearance with a place to BBQ, tables and even public restrooms. The fishing was pretty good too. My only complaint is that the mobile restroom unit looks trashed and notice alot of homeless people going in and out of it. There was not any soap or antibacterial and the door knob/lock was broken. Other than that I think I found a new spot to fish and take my dog with me to. Nice job Galveston!

Not a bad little park. It has a public boat ramp.

Love this place for a quiet day. Built for fishing, gathering. Has several covered picnik areas, the best bathrooms, rode side, ive ever seen. A faverite pelican fishing spot, have watched dolphins closer then anywhere else. Big paddle boat, sail boats, has electricity. And what we cal the twins. Motor cycle radar, catches 1 every 15 minutes trying to speed into town. Spent a couple hours watching them. Very educational, as well as intertaining.

They did a great job reconstructing this area to be easier to park in and get out with your car. The sunset from this area is always a treat.
