Absolutely beautiful beach off the seawall in Galveston. The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining, and the wind was calm as well as the sea. The beach was a little bit crowded but it was definitely worth stopping at and enjoying the view and the different sights they had to see there.

Beautiful place. You can feel as if youre standing in a place where history has happened. Im a big fan of the plants and birds around the area. I posted some photos of the plants and flowers and their names around the eastern fortification.

Great place to watch the sunrise! Very clean too.

And it wasnt for a Time the two days we were spending here in Galveston it was a good day fun very fun

My family and I had such a beautiful time!! We didnt want to leave the beach is so relaxing and peaceful. We hope to return one day!!!!

In the historic Hampton Battery area lies Fort Crockett Park on Galveston’s Seawall. An iconic and historic place to the area, the park was in need of some updates to create an urban space. In this renovated park, native plantings, benches, picnic tables, shade and special plaques tell the story of the seawall, the fort and Galveston’s record of surviving storms. The battery areas, are part of the original military installations at Fort Crokett. Enhancements to the historic seawall park were funded with a $1 million donation from snack-food maker Frito-Lay.

Just look at it, how can you not love this!! So Relaxing, wonderful beach!

It was a great getaway for a.few hours, I had a wonderful time with family and friends.

The seawall park is a great place to relax, have a meal, exercise, and watch the waves. Lots of shade, history, and seating. I love the fact theres outdoor seating right on seawall that is not in the sidewalk traffic.

Very sublime part of the seawall. A common rest stop. The view is very unique both during the day and night. There is a sitting area with a large shade cast by 2 ship sails.
