Love this place. Awesome time for the family. The Dino alive was really cool but very small. Took us only a few minutes to walk through.

I came here on Friday, November 27, 2020. I went to the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: An Interactive Adventure. Online, the show was said to be about 25 minutes. However, it actually only ended up being about 10 minutes in length. The 3D portion was cool and I liked how water was sprayed unexpectedly. But it was not interactive unfortunately. The description of the show stated that the audience would be able to help operate the ship and have conversations with the characters, but this did not happen. When I had come in 2015, there was a Spongebob show that was much more interactive. Nevertheless, there is an area where you wait for the show to begin which is decorated very nicely and has tanks of fish and cool areas to take pictures.Upstairs was Skeletown that had cool skeletons of humans and animals. However, we did not spend more than 15 minutes in this exhibit. Overall, I would recommend that you check out this pyramid only if you have time after seeing the Rainforest and Aquarium pyramid.

It was geared more to younger kids it was neat to see the live turtles and I liked the little bit of information on ninjas. I would have enjoyed it more if there was more information about ninjas or something.

While we love going to Moody Gardens throughout the year, this is our least favorite of all the amazing attractions. If you have limited time, choose the other pyramids & activities.

New 20000 leagues under the Sea interactive adventure!! Adults may find they think theyre just bringing a kid to a kid thing and be amazed to realize that they (the adult) has enjoyed the show as well by the end. A true sparkling new gem for the island!

Save your money. Buy a $4 happy meal at McDonalds, take the plastic Dora toys with you on the McPlayPlace. For $15 adult and $13 child admission here you get into 1 room with 10 Dora branded activities and a few random turtles in empty tanks. Im sure the other pyramids are cool, and we thought this was more than a 1 room exhibit, but this is a bust.

There were only 2 exhibits open when visiting. The guides didnt seem very happy to be there. Basically just walking around, mundanely picking things up and watching everyone. I would have appreciated if they tried to be more like the aquarium guide and interacted a little more with us.

We expected to visit a museum; it was merely an exhibit, possibly a traveling exhibit. Skeletown was interesting and engaging; there were learning opportunities and fun things to do. We were disappointed that there was only one exhibit and one short film. Target audience is children. Not much for adults.

What a great place to take the kids when its too hot to play outside. I love the indoor interactive learning area that encourages children to move and play while they learn about animals and science. Dont forget to bring your own reusable water bottles/cups. They have filtered water filling stations throughout the entire place. Love it!

The Discovery Pyramid is always a favorite for us! We LOVE having the chance to see these guys up-close like this. It was a slower day when we went, and it was the best experience by far.Plenty to see, a bit to do. It all makes for some wonderful photos, for sure.Food and beverages are expensive, after paying the admission and selling a kidney, we always end up eating elsewhere. The food has been okay, we just dont want to pay so much for it!Staff were all extra helpful and very nice also!

Clean and well kept, but they charge full price and half of it was closed. It was literally just one big room of play stuff ... Thats it. You can see 95% of it when you open the door. It was over 50.00 for our family, and our 3 year old had about 15 minutes of fun. Why even charge for the adults??

This pyramid has rotating displays, so its really a toss up whether its good or not. For me, I feel it has a good balance of things to do. For the older kids and adults, theres alot of things to read and learn about, depending on the theme. The hands-on activities in this pyramid are more geared towards younger kids in my opinion. Toys to play with, spaces to run, etc. so they can get out all of their energy. I saw alot of this happening when I went, which is why I recommend going during the week when its not as busy. As for the displays, they usually change each season.

Its a good place for really little kids, Id say under 10, but very small and not much to see as compared to the rainforest and aquarium. The best part of that pyramid was the 4d SpongeBob show that was playing at the time we went.

This is your average everyday science museum, like Houstons and the Woodlands childrens museums. There is really one exhibit and the SpongeBob Subpants ride/experience thing. My kids enjoyed the Subpants thing and the current Dora/Diego exhibit, but if we had not bought the pass from Moody Gardens, there is no way we would have spent the money. There just wasnt much to do. We were in and out in an hour.It is a worthwhile part of the Moody Gardens experience, particularly if the toddlers need more hands on time.I saw an adult in here. He went on Subpants as well and sat in the front row. You wont discover anything here as an adult.

The Spongebob Squarepants Adventure is awesome. I believe the only thing that would have made it better is if the audience seats would move like you were actually in a submarine. On the bottom floor they has the interactive 3-D SpongeBob SquarePants Submarine Adventure. It was really fun for everyone. Had really nice seating and they pick children to participate in the show. The second floor hosts the TMNT exhibit. It shows the turtles in exhibits from the early years to the more current version of the toy. They also have a live exhibit of different kinds of turtles.

The DaVinci museum was pretty interesting but honestly probably not great for small kids because a lot of the stuff is hands off and to really get the most out of it it takes some reading as it has long descriptive explanations of things that the little ones probably wont really understand or will not be able to pay attention to.

So boring. They had the TMNT exhibit which is nothing but an advertisement for the show (which I think was cancelled a few years ago). Three activities were broken, two others didnt work right. No one could fix them because they belong to nickelodeon. They had a few turtles, but didnt know or display any information about them. There was really no discovery at all. Such a waste of time. It would have been a waste of money but they gave us more tickets because it was so bad. Go to the aquarium instead.
