Went out with Capt. Jason this past Thursday, 12 November. It was a slow start. But the last 2 to 3 hrs, we made it to the Jetties and the bite was on. Caught a mixed bag of fish some keepers and some not so much keepers. But it was still fun. Only Blemish is the cooler was too small. Fish were literally jumping out the box. Overall, we had fun and will definitely book another trip. Until then, TIGHT LINES!!!

We had a great time. Fishing sucked, but not the crews fault. If you caught fish every time out it would be called catching instead of fishing. Great Crew, great boat. Jason and Greg worked very hard to find fish for us. Overall good day on the water. thanks guys. We will be back.

Had a great time out fishing with Captain Jason. He was easy going and yet professional. He put us on some good flounder fishing and we had a blast. We went at the end of October so not a lot of variety available but we had a great time. Highly recommend these guys.

We had the best experience ever with Just Cast. Captain Chris and Captain David were awesome. They cared more about us catching fish than anything else. We fished over seven different spots to be able to catch a bunch of fish. I highly recommend Just Cast and will charter them again next time I am in Galveston.

My husband and I had a great time fishing with Just Cast Charters. While we werent able to catch any keepers, it was still a great trip. Bradley was our captain and he did his best to help us catch some fish. We plan on booking another trip with them in the future, so I highly recommend them.

We chartered two boats for a team-building exercise on a Saturday. Everyone had a blast, even those that got a bit nauseous--remember to take Dramamine the night before. We had some equipment issues early on that we thought were going to end the trip but the guide got them fixed and then extended our trip by about twice the amount of time the initial problems cost us. He was very enjoyable to be around and determined to get us on some big fish. He ended up finding us some huge bull reds...extremely enjoyable experience. We will use them again for sure

I called down and spoke with Erica about 3 times and she was great answering all my questions and all. I booked a full day fish trip and figured it be a nice one. We had Kip and Brady as the captains/boat help for the trip. It stated off well when I caught about an 8lb black drum and then minutes later I caught a sandbar shark. I knew we couldn’t keep the shark but we roped it, took pictures and set him free, the black drum we took pictures with and set him free as well. All the while we noticed during the initial 2 catches, Kip was johnny on the spot and was really upbeat and was eager to catch fish. Brady wasn’t really on the poles much for excitement and more interested taking a few phones calls over planning a trip to academy later that day once our fishing trip was completed to get some fishing stuff for his boat and some other activities.Part of the family got a bit of motion sickness which was weird because as many times as we go out to the ocean, we have never been that way. Kip later suggested we move since we were not catching anything. We took about a 10 min boat ride back closer where we had left dock. We were there for about an hour and Brady brought up the suggestion we could save the money and do a half day instead of a full day. I said we would think about it. About 20 min later my 10 yr old daughter reeled in a small black tip shark. Again, we took pictures and again Kip was on it. Minutes later my daughter caught a red drum she was able to keep. Kip was very interactive, and it made the trip a lot more exciting then instead of mundane.Brady brought up the idea again and seemed like he wanted to go in so the wife and I said lets do it and cut it short, especially since the kids had a chance to catch fish. Our overall experience was good due to KIP, but we would have liked for him to have taken us out a bit further and moved around a bit more. After we moved the first time our motion sickness never came back which was weird, we even had it. All together we were that way for about 25 min, but once we moved to the second spot it was over. As a business owner I would have appreciated it more if KIP was the guy that had taken us out. He actually gets involved in the fishing process and gives you good knowledge on what to do. Prior to him doing that, Brady was no help on what to do and how to. I had never gone shark fishing, so I was clueless. I have been deep sea fishing about 6 times in my life and it seems you have to do something a little different on certain fish you are trying to catch.Overall due to KIP and his upbeat personality and willing to get the kids involved, we had a good time, but, if we come back we would rather have KIP if he is able to do so, or a captain with the same type personality along with him on the boat as well IF POSSIBLE.

Kip and Brady were awesome and made for a great trip. We did a half day offshore and fished the jetties and caught a total of 10 fish, a couple keepers (sand trout) and a bonnet head. Then the captain took us out to an area to catch sharks and we caught a 3 foot spinner and another smaller one that fought like hell. Was an awesome experience. Big thumbs up to Just Cast.

We had an awesome last minute trip!! Everything was so easy and very professional from great customer service on the call in /booking with Erica to actually being on the boat with Captain Donnie and his deckhand Lisa we’re by far the best we’ve ever had! Each time going with Just cast it gets better then the last! He took us straight to the fish no bull crappin around we had an awesome time! The Captain and Mate were really friendly but the captain said it was his first time on this boat and fishing trip and seemed to not know the spots where to catch big fish we ended up catching tons of baby sand trout. Unfortunately we will not use this charter again felt it was a waste of almost $700 for baby fish.

We surprised our kids with a trip to Galveston for Christmas this year. I had been researching fishing trips but unfortunately the weather for the time we were going to be there was not looking favorable. When there looked to be a break in the weather our last day in Galveston, we decided to make it work and book last minute and I am so glad we did. Our kids are 13 and 8, so we opted for a half day jetty trip since they had never been before. Captain Will and deckhand Justin were fantastic. The sun was shining despite the the colder temperatures. We were able to catch numerous fish and had an amazing time. We are all ready to come back for another trip. Thank you for a great experience and the lasting memories for our family!

My family had booked for a shark hunt, but once we had gotten there we didnt get to do that at all. We were taken out on the water without any hunting gear at all wich we dusnt figure out right away but they took it on behalf of themselves to simply take us jetty fishing all the while passing off any questions about why we were catching bait instead of chumming the waters like we paid for. They didnt even at all mention till a little over half way Into our trip that we were going to go for sharks at all. In the end we got a discount on out trip and if we choose to come back then we would get a discount on our next one too. We enjoyed ourselves a bit, but they purposely didnt give us a heads up and hid the fact we werent getting what we paid for.

So much fun being out on the water with the fam!! Shoutout to captain chris for putting us on the fish and help make some memories! Definitely won’t be disappointed :)

We had a very good fishing experience with Chris and Justin. They put us right on the fish even after a storm pushed a lot of freshwater into the bay. Caught plenty of keeper reds and a few other fun fish. Were very attentive and willing to help out however they could. Will recommend to friends/family and will be booking another trip with them.

We did full day jetty trip and it was great!! Captain Jonathan worked continuously to keep us fishing and catching. He was extremely and immediately attentive and responsive to any need and never showed any impatience. He was especially great with the 7 year old we had on the trip. We maxed out on red drums within the first hour or so and kept catching them almost the whole time out. I would definitely recommend Just Cast and Capt Jonathan in particular. One hint, if you are fishing for red drums and have young people that dont need a license, make sure you purchase ($3) a courtesy red drum tag so that you can keep one fish for every fisherman.

Even though we called Chris at the last minute, he was able to make arraignments for my family. Despite challenging conditions, my eight year-old daughter and I had a fantastic time catching a variety of fish with our guide, Chris. His ability to work with young kids is clearly outstanding. Jonathan was a superb captain on our half day jetty fishing trip. Very knowledgeable, good fun and ready to help out and ensure our trip all went smoothly. Mike did a great job keeping everyones lines in the water and as close to the jetties as possible, trying to hook into Sheepshead that were legal to keep. We had 2 first timers so he had a challenge on his hands but managed magnificently. Caught quite a few nice Speckled trout and the occasional catfish but no redfish. All in all a fun afternoon on the water.

The worker was hungover and got seasick and was puking the entire trip. They only used 4 poles most of the time for 5 people. 1 person caught 1 fish the other 4 didnt catch a single fish.

My family decided to let me go on an inshore fishing charter for Fathers Day, so I contacted Just Cast Charters. Chris was very understanding to what type of fishing trip we were looking for, and he set us up to go out with Capt. Joey Barnett. Capt. Joey called us the night before to discuss the conditions and coordinate our departure.I have been on many fishing charters in the past. Some were good, and some were bad, so as soon as we met with Capt. Joey, we knew that we were going to have a great day. He had the Just Cast Charter boat clean and ready to go. Joey was very professional and showed us how knowledgeable he was of the area we wanted to fish and the species we were wanting to target.The bite was very slow, but that did not stop Capt. Joey from locating the fish, teaching us his techniques, and making sure that we always had a line in the water to catch fish. For about an hour, all we had to do is just cast and we had a fish on the line.Before we knew it, we had a full fish locker and heading back to the dock with huge smiles on our faces. Capt. Joey perfectly cleaned all our fish and we headed home.I highly recommend Just Cast Charters if you are looking for the perfect fishing charter. They are a step above any other charter I have ever been on, and I will be booking future charters with them soon.

Just Cast is a really friendly, knowledgable, skilled and helpful fishing charter service. We fished the jetties. Weather was coming in. The boat driving was excellent. We caught a lot of sharks and had a relaxing and fun time doing it. With weather setting in (it was stormy the next morning), anything was possible. That didnt matter. Our scheduled trip for May 22 was postponed due to weather. Just Cast was very cooperative in trying to accommodate our party of 6 on a 1/2 day jetty trip for the next day. The captain was very friendly and got us in fish quickly. He stayed busy keeping everyones lines baited.As far as Im concerned everything was great and I would have given this a 5 star rating except that I had to pay for the cleaning of the fish and ice for the ice chest when the website says that the trips are all inclusive. But it was still a nice trip.(Edited)I got a message from Just Cast letting me know that they are refunding the cost of cleaning and ice. Good customer service along with good fishing is hard to beat.(Update) We took a second trip with Just Cast Charters in October, and it was as enjoyable as the first. The staff was as courteous and friendly as they were the first time. The weather was windy, but the captain done his best to give us the opportunity to reschedule and did his best to keep us out of choppy water when we didnt. We are planning on a third trip with these guys.

Captain Johnathan was fantastic! We had 3 generations of fishermen and he took care of all of us. He was really great with the kids and was attentive to them. We caught so many fish we were actually throwing some back! If you want to catch all kinds of fish and have lots of fun, then Captain Johnathan is your man! We will come again and have him as our captain.

Captain Jonathan was great in finding fishing spots. He has the experience to figure out where the fishes are partying. We caught a lot of fishes including sharks and stingrays ( this was a full day shark hunt near the shore with my two boys and bro).He provided bates,ice water,fishing poles as he promised. He had a fish finder machine on his boat as well. Overall Just cast fishing charters was great in dealing with all aspects of this trip.Price was comparably low. Going for a second one next week with Cpt. Jonathan. I recommend this charter.

Awesome experience today it rained early! Cpt Chris was super patient with us as we were determined. We stayed at the dock for a couple hours he left it up to us, we decided to head out water was rough and my wife wanted to go back so he took her back and took me and my 9 year old and my 4 year old back out fishing in the rain! I’ve taken several chartered trips and by far this is the best! Super patient, great with kids and he know where the fish are i would recommend him for any group, families it doesn’t matter they will accommodate you! Tough day with the wind and finding some fish big enough to keep, but Captain Joey was great and very patient. He kept us out a little longer than planned to make sure we came back with some nice fish (which were sooo good on the grill last night). He had a great sense of humor and tolerated our complete lack of fishing expertise. Would definitely book with Just Cast again.

Our son was on short leave from Marines and we wanted to take him fishing. Just Cast was very accommodating, and although the weather was sketchy, Captain Chris kept in touch with us through the morning and we were able to make our afternoon jetty trip. I was really just along for the ride but even this non-fisher ended up fishing and catching all afternoon! Chris stayed busy keeping everyones rigs intact and baited as well as setting out larger poles on the back to see what would bite - and they did! Very easy and enjoyable and we will definitely be booking with them again!

My son was back from college and we only had a limited time frame to book our trip. The weather was not perfect, but Captain Chris worked hard to put us on fish. By noon all other boats had gone in, but we kept working the Jetties. Finally pulled in two Black Drum and a HUGE Red Drum! We will definitely will be using Just Cast Charter in the near future.

Went down to Galveston for Spring break. It was windy and pretty chilly. Still we went out with Capt Chuck for a 1/2 day trip. We started off in the jetties. Wasnt getting much action. Right before we were about to pack up- I caught a 34 inch drum. It was too big too keep but it was the biggest fish I every caught. Then we went and tried our luck elsewhere. We ended up catching 7 trout. While I wish we wouldve caught more, he was great with my boys 7 and 9. He was patient and tried to put us on fish. Overall, it was a good day. I wish weather cooperated more but its March in TX.

I did a morning jetty trip with a friend. We had a great time. Our guide, Capt. Jonathan Jenkins, was wonderful. He was informative, did a great job giving us pointers, and putting us in a position to catch fish. Will definitely use again.

I went fishing with Just Cast Charters along with my little brothers, sister, mom and my boyfriend. We had a good time catching fish and being out on the water. The best part was watching my brothers fight to get the fish on the boat. Cant wait to get on the water again this summer!

We are already planning another trip Memorial Weekend with Capt. Johnathan! What a great trip. The captain was super friendly and attentive to our needs. We literally did not have to bait or cast if we did not want to. He got us to the jetties and we pulled in Sheephead, Top catfish, shovelheads, reds, etc all day. I even got sea sick and he rode us around until I felt better. We felt so safe and had a great time.

Book a charter trip for my dads 62nd birthday. Weather worked out great and the fishing was awesome. I have been on other charters and Just Cast with Capt Johnathan is hands down the best. My dad and I being avid fishermen, Capt J. let us do our own thing. We did have a first time fisherman (Exchange student) on board who just happened to land the most sharks and captain Johnathan helped him make the memories that he will take back home to China where recreational fishing is not very popular. We are looking to book another trip in Sept and will do it with Just Cast.

These guys are awesome. We had a blast and caught a bunch of fish. They provided everything and did everything including cleaning our fish. Thanks again for the great time Chris!

Captain Jonathan was superb and has the highest spirits of anyone I have ever met. The best fishing experience I ever had.

Captain Matt was better than we could have asked for. My bothers and I planned a fishing trip and Captain Matt was our captain for the day. We started out looking for flounder. We went to two spots searching for flounder but wound up catching a monster redfish. We decided to start fishing for reds and Matt took us to a great spot. We caught a total of 3 monster Reds and 1 gaftop catfish. (There were some hard heads and others mixed in). If you are looking for a great charter company then Just Cast is it. If you want a great captain then ask for Captain Matt. Thank you Matt for making it a great day.

Windy, choppy and no hungry fish. Didnt change my opinion of the trip. Our guys worked hard to find us fish, fight the wind and waves. We appreciated their hard work. Personable, helpful, PATIENT and hardworking described both our guys.

Captain Jonathan was great. During the outing, he was very informative and helpful with techniques to make the trip easy breezy. I would recommend him and jus cast to anyone, rather a novelist or expert fisher.

Loved my experience with Just Cast Charters. Loved that everywhere he took us we caught fish. I am a little afraid of fishing on a boat but his overall knowledge of boating put me at ease. If I fished on a boat again I would only go with Capt. Sean.

Great fishing experience with Captain Jonathan. Did not get a great haul (3 redfish and one vermillion snapper) on a half day of fishing but the weather was not cooperating. Jonathan was extremely helpful and seemed personally invested in our trip being a success - highly recommended.

Let me first start off with my booking experience, Erica was who I spoke with and to say she wasnt helpful would be an understatement. She planned the perfect day out on the water and explained everything. The customer service for Just cast Fishing Charters is superior to several other places I called.Next, my fiancé and I met with Captian Jonathan to start our 1/2 a day jetting charter and he was absolutely amazing. He knew the hot spots where the fish were biting. Never once did we have to do anything other than cast our line. The conversation was fantastic. Captian Jonathan was extremely pleasant and made the entire trip out relaxing, pleasant and fun.Finally, we ended our fishing excursion with the captain cleaning our catch of 8 reds. The name Just Cast really does mean just cast. We did nothing but had the most fantastic time. I recommend this to anyone. We will definitely be back! This was a great experience
