The rides were great. The price for the pier is not high and therefore the duration of the rides arent either. Its definitely thrilling to get on the cyclone, Revolution and the Iron shark. If you havent been to a lot of amusement parks, this can be a great place to start and see how much adventure can you survive. The lighting at the night makes it even more fun!

Don’t believe the ratings. You can pay for those. It is a very clean and well kept environment. It also feels very safe and secure. Kudos to the maintenance team. The leadership/management is aloof and nonexistent. Staff members are only trained with word tracks versus true customer service.Only one example:When you call to determine which rides are open, they will tell you you what is open and closed and while that would seem to be OK, once you get there you realize that while “technically” they can be open BUT they may not have people there to operate. When you ask staff members the status on what is supposed to be open, they can only say I’m sorry... we don’t have enough staff. And then you inquire on when it will be open they will only tell you that you’ll have to ask management. When you ask for a little more clarification, they can only say, “I’m only trained to say “You have to ask management”.Staff members will even agree with your frustration but then note that due to management they can only say, “I’m sorry, please ask management.”

It was pretty awesome! The beach was salty as geck but i absolutely loved it. The pier was amazing as well. Would have liked more variety in terms of rides, but i definitely cannot say i did not enjoy the ones there. The main problem i would say is the fact that everything is so expensive. Other than that? Best first time beach experience! If you visiting for the first time like i was and dont mind spending a lot of money i highly recommend a dinner at Bubba Gumps! Its definitely worth it~!

I stopped by the Pier today at 4PM. I asked the lady at the counter for 1 pier pass. She said it was free today, which was exciting because its my birthday. I then asked her for 1 Galaxy wheel ticket. She informed me they were one use only. I asked for 2 and she happily sold them to me. And despite NO SIGNS or anything on the website saying a single person couldnt ride the Galaxy Wheel, I walk right up. The man running the ride informed me I could not ride the ride alone. It was all I came for. I read online about no refunds, so I left very disappointed on my birthday. Could you guys post signs about that?

We love Galveston!!!! My husband and I wanted to take a mini vacation to the beach and with Galveston being only about 4 hours away we knew that is where we wanted to go. Galveston is one of our favorite places to visit. There is so much to do there. From all the great shops and restaurants on the sea wall and strand. To hanging out and relaxing on the beach. As well as a night stroll on the shore. We love coming here so much we have talked about moving to Galveston. I highly recommend visiting there.

I was surprised with how family friendly and inviting the pier was. I managed to have an extremely refreshing pina coloda that helped deal with the terrible heat. But as someone from the east coast I was most excited and surprised about how warm the water was. It was absolutely incredible. Very tempted to dive in but just went to my knees instead. Beach was very clean I didn’t see many shells to step on either. Excited to go back

Went for the first time during thanksgiving and wont be returning. Most of the rides are down and they are still charging full price. For the rides that are still operating they have a few staff members operating multiple rides. For saftey reasons I hope the managers see this post. Staff members are humans that can be burnt out from running back and forth between rides which I saw when were there. Operating one ride then cleaning it running to another and repeating God forbid one forget or miss something important and there is an accident. They need to do a full shut down fix their rides and issues cause half opened is hurting peoples expectations and experiences.

Honestly I was really excited to come here that started the day but after leaving here I can honestly say I dont think I would be coming back here. The food was overpriced and disgusting. At the end of the night they only had two people covering a total of four kiddie rides. so you basically had to wait your turn for someone to eventually come to their station so that your kid can ride a ride I stopped waiting 45 minutes at a ride for somebody to come and actually start the ride. when I asked him why this happened they told me because its Sunday and we dont overstaff on Sundays. for as much money as I spent today at this location I can honestly say very very poor service.

It costs a fortune just to walk across the pier. You have to buy a wrist bracelet just to enter it. The rides you pay for individually. So be prepared to hurt your wallet. Overpriced tourist trap. Luckily we went on a Friday where they have a $14.99 special for unlimited rides so that saved me a bit of money. Unfortunately they do charge just to walk on the pier. The employees there were not friendly at all . Young people who looked bored with their job and don’t even take the time to greet you with a simple hello. My daughter is 2 she was able to go on a few rides But there really isn’t much for young kids around her age to do. Games & food on the pier was too pricey so after about an hour we left. Overall I’m glad my kids experienced it but I definitely will not be back

Old-fashioned carnival amusement in the Galveston sunshine. The attractions are actually pretty up to date despite the historical character and background of the pier. So much fun! Just remember to measure your kids at the area that they have for that so you dont buy a pass that the kids cant use because of height restrictions. I seen at least 2 parents mad because they bought their kid the over 48 inches but the kid wasnt tall enough and turned away from rides.I would suggest leaving the pier and eating somewhere else tho unless youre going to get the fair type foods. Fries and tenders were cold from sitting out for a while. All in all, a great day for the family to spend together.

Agree with others saying $10/person just to walk on is a bit steep, but I understand and it probably keeps the crowds under control. Was neat to just experience once, but probably wouldnt return. I did think the pelicans and seagulls at the end of the pier was a highlight.

Well out of all the hype about it I thought it was an amazing place to enjoy the day. Well half the rides were not in operation. There was also 3 that were down because of the wind. That cant be helped thats safety. But its run down. My daughter was on a ride yesterday and it got stuck in a swing out position. My daughter was in no danger. For the price and what they have to to pay isnt worth going too. There are other things to do in the area to have a better time.

My family and I have been here several times and its always fun. Lots of stuff to do for kids and even some for adults. My only real criticism is how you have to pay for individual rides (or a full ride pack if the child wants to ride several) for an adult to even take a small child on a kids ride. Paying full price for riding rides just to stand next to your kid on a carousel so they can ride is pretty weak. If you pay for the $10 walk on band, that should suffice. If theyd change that policy then Id 100% recommend it to anyone.
