I have been here a few months and I like it here. It just feels like home around here.The park manager has been extremely busy making the community a better place here. You always see her working hard and doing her best to get the job done. She is on top of things and she does her best to take care of everything that happens. The community has improved in the short time I have been here.

Management is amazing and very friendly and helpful. Moving here from Nebraska and needed direction to somewhere to stay and she made sure we were ok before she left. Plus she came in on her day off to let us fill out a loan application.

Management and maintenance are always super helpful in solving any problems and answering any questions. Quiet area and the homes are nice and oftentimes renovated. I couldnt be any more thankful and blessed for the home we found in Country Elms.

It would be nice if there were safe places to walk; the only options are in the street or on the properties. It would also be nice if the park for kids had more to it like more swings, a toddler swing, equipment for climbing on, etc.

I am a current resident here. I have no complaints. The office manager is super nice and very helpful. The park in the community is only 4 swings but when its constantly torn up by the kids they dont put extra in it. The price a month I pay for a 3 bdrm 2 bathroom is $499. You cant beat that. Yes I have ants but I have had ants in many places cause they can enter your house through the smallest crack. I have never seen roaches in any of the places. When you have home issues the management will do what they can to help you. Yes there is a curfew for the kids its when the street lights come on. Which was the same when I was growing up. The neighbors are nice. The park is cleaned up regularly. Yes there are fines for not doing things but its part of the paperwork you sign when you move in so its rules. You dont wanna live in a dump and rules are there to keep the place looking good. Rules are required to be followed even by the on-site manager. Theft is not an issue. Things may get stolen but not often and that can happen anywhere but I havent seen it. Bus picks up and drops off my kids right behind the main office. I have full trust in my kids being able to walk home from the bus stop and I dont live right next to it. So if you ask me and my family I would live here. Great area. Not alot of sirens or city noises. Just a peaceful place to live.

Unfortunately I had to put my family dig diwn because this place condemns pets... Its just not human to dislike pets! I had a terrible experience living here, not to mention I was 4 days late on lot rent because I was admitted in the hospital they didnt care by the time I got home I was being served with an eviction notice

Needs better management

Drive and roadways in need of repairs. Oversize speed bumps. Office area outside has waste by building. How can they expect residents to keep their lots clean when management wont keep the office area clean.

Half and half depends on who your visiting I suppose.

We own our home and still pay 245.00 in lot rent and a yearly 75 in tax.very high.Playground is 4 swings and a netless basketball hoop.A curfew has been added for children.Ants and roaches are prevailent throughout the park and they do not spray.Theft is very high for anything left outdoors.Constant water issues plague the park.Limited refuge pickup unlike the city.Limited pet options for homeowners.Strict ground rules for the lot you rent.Elms will not remove a tree or shrub from your RENTED lot even if it threatens your home.Itemized petty fines for a multitude of site violations.(not raking leaves,washing the OUTSIDE of your home..what?and the list goes on.I recommend Swings court or Sandburg estates both offering less hastle,cheaper monthly rates, more grounds options,and a consistent management team.Country elms has had 6 managers in half as many years.

This 157-site community is located in Northwestern Illinois. The property is peaceful and surrounded by farmland but within minutes of downtown Galesburg.
