I love taking my drone to newmans lake its a beautiful place take time out to stop by very beautiful sunrise about 6:30ish

The trails out to the lake overlook weave through creek and swamp areas, pine forest, and oak hammocks, all while staying a moderate length (2.5 mile loop for hikers, 5.5 miles for bikes). Great photo spots along the way too!

Great trail! Marked well. Very peaceful.

Nice shady trail for a casual walk with your pets or place to be alone with your thoughts. The live oak tree is a unique feature amongst the many other trees.

This was a great quiet place for a 2-3 mile hike ️

We enjoyed our time on this great trail. Theres a hiking and biking trail, however, theres a sign warning that some parts of the trail may be under water. This was to be expected since it had been raining almost everyday. 5/5 will come back again!P. S. No ticks were experienced this trip. Looking forward to the experience next time.

Beautiful 2.5 mile walking trail and 5 mile mountain bike trail, goes all the way to the lake and loops back to parking lot. Well marked and cleared. As for the ticks mentioned in another review, this is Florida and you are in the woods. This is expected. The bugs were actually minor for this dry time of the year. Worth the visit if you want a true Florida woods trail experience.

Rode the mountain bike trail through the woods out to the lake, about a six mile loop. Very peaceful, I loved it!

Horrible! This place is infested with ticks!!! We took the 2.5 mile trail and by the time we got back had ticks all over my dog, my husband and myself. We have spent hours picking them out of her fur and are still finding them on ourselves. Will never, never, never go back.If you do go, be sure to coat yourself in repellent before stepping onto the trail
