Wonderful historical place to visit you can take dogs into the park but they cannot go into the house itselfso bring someone with you to keep the dog out of the house on a leash while you view it and then trade places and the other person can go. please note that if you want to go inside the house to visit you must make advanced schedule with the Mathenson office. It is a place not to miss if you really like old southern representation of living. The grounds are beautiful and all of the staff are very informed and pleasant a really good trip.

Cool history, but the surroundings are unsafe...crime, drug use, homeless sleeping nearby. Shame

Need to book your to see inside...nice history and with the nearby museum worth the visit...

Wonderful place wish we had the reenactment there again.

You must call ahead in order to get a museum staff member to give you (or your group) a tour of this historic home.
