Looking for an art school? Look no more. Ichen Art School is top notch! My son started taking art classes here when he was 9. He is now 12. All the classes have been wonderful! Ichen Art has also done an AMAZING job of going online with their art classes since COVID 19. My son just completed two sessions of summer camp...one week pets, second week perspective (architecture). Kevin did a wonderful job teaching kids online. I whole heartedly recommend Ichen Art Academy. They are professional, friendly and have really knowledgeable, technically trained staff. Thank you Ichen Art for providing this community with such a wonderful art school.

I am an art student at Ichen art academy for three years. The teachers here teach exceptionally well. They give fantastic feedback and tells me what I should improve on. Every summer, they have summer classes for people that are interested in art. The summer class I recommend the most is figure art drawing. This class is taught by Oliver Sin, a well known artist that has 200k followers on Instagram. Another amazing teacher is Ryan. He specializes in oil painting and charcoal but he is extraordinary in all fields. I highly recommend this art school And your art skills will improve if you join this school.

My daughter decided to have art as her major when she was in 11 grade. She didn’t build up a solid foundation on any art skills before. But with all the help from their teachers, finally she is in her dream college - Art Center in Pasadena, LA.I do really appreciate Ichen Art Academy which offers the students to be able to learn the knowledge and skills of art with a pure, open mind and away from the pressure of academic staffs.

My daughter has been in Ichen Art Academy for a few years and she has dramatically improved since she first started. The staff are very professional and help students improve. My daughter has enjoyed the classes we signed up for and the art she produces is very nice. The summer camp workshops are also very nice.

I’ve been in this academy for 4 years and I’ve learned a lot at this academy, from the classes and summer workshops. The instructors teach us all the fundamentals while still giving us the creative freedom to draw what we want. All of the instructors are still in the professional art field so they give reliable incite on the the field. This academy has instructors that teach different art genres.

I am a student here at Ichen Art Academy, and its really helpful and fun as well. Teachers and students maintain a good relationship and have meaningful interactions. So far the classes Ive taken are Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, Sketching, and Oil Painting, and Ichen Art Academy has helped me make progress in all respective areas in no time. Because of the wonderful Chinese Painting and Calligraphy teacher, I have also gotten a gold award in Chinese Painting. In addition the summer camps here are very informative and intuitive. All in all, very good, five stars.

Both of my children attended this art school for many years, in the regular school year and in summer camps. Both Ichen herself and the teachers she has are great. They not only taught the skills, but more importantly, let students maintain and develop their interest in art. This is not easy especially considering how busy students are nowadays on all the other things they have.

Both of my kids go to Ichen Art Academy every week. My son was initially hesitant to draw anything as he felt whatever he drew was not good enough. His art teacher, Wendy is extremely patient and loving. She spent time to learn about my son’s personality and designed a program to make him feel comfortable in expressing himself through art. My son has been with Wendy for a couple of years now and I am thrilled that he’s much more confident in drawing and he’s enjoying the class tremendously. My daughter also enjoys going to Ichen and I am very impressed to see the drawings that she brings home and happy on the progress that she’s making.

Very friendly and talented instructors! A variety of courses are offered here, from digital illustration to Chinese watercolor, so there’s no shortage of different styles to try out. The location is very good too, since it’s in walkable distance of coffee and tea shops.

Good place to learn art! My teacher is really patient and professional, I like my teacher more than any of my other art classes that I attended earlier. Also, I could clearly see improvements of my art skill! Love this place.

My daughter has been attending Ichen Art Academy for over three years, and her improvements are amazing. Both of my kids take class here and both of them love it. Ms. Wendy is super nice on my 8 year daughter and she learned a lot from Wendy. My 12 year old son is fortunate enough to have Ryan as his teacher . He improved a lot on his sketching and drawing. I once talked with him on canceling drawing class for it is conflicting with one of his other class and he refused to do so!

I’ve been at Ichen Art Academy for a few years now and I definitely feel like I’ve improved a lot here. They offer a lot of classes and the teachers are all very friendly and skilled. Very enjoyable and helpful!

My daughter is taking sketch for a year now and I am very happy with her teacher Ryan! I can see she loves what she draws now and enjoy drawing classes a lot. She also does Chinese painting; Ichen has been really patient with her and guide her through. Awesome teachers!

Ive come here for art for about six years now. I initially started out learning sketch and drawing with Teacher Liang, but then switched to learning chinese brush painting with Teacher Wu. Both were and are delightful, and their constructive criticism still helps me today. It is very easy to approach and talk to the teachers, but the atmosphere is still one of diligent, working students. I hope to visit even as an adult! Great place :)

I have been coming to Ichen for 5 years or so. I have learned so much from all the teachers that I have been in class with. Classes were so fun yet at the same time extremely informative. I dont think I wouldve gotten into Art Center without the help of my teachers, not just informatively but also emotionally. They support and believe in all their students. I learned so many different styles of art and different mediums of art. It has made me only into a stronger artist. Teachers push you out of your comfort zone to get us to become better artists.

My 12 year old daughter has been attending this art academy for many years, IChen, her staff, and all the teachers are very friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter enjoys very much learning different skills from different teachers there. IChen and Ryan are great with teaching techniques and fundamentals of art.

Ive been attending this art academy for many years now, and i honestly love going there. the instructors pay attention to your art skills and are extremely helpful if you have issues your works. they truly help you realize your passion for art. i currently take charcoal and chinese painting classes, which is taught by Ichen herself. she is an amazing chinese painting teacher and is always so encouraging and patient when she focuses on her students. i would recommend any people interested in art to attend, for the environment is so positive and friendly.
