CalColor Academy rolled out its first adult art class last year, and the leading teacher was Mr. Justin, who specialized in watercolor- probably the most difficult painting technique Ive always wanted to learn. There were only a few spots open for the first adult class, and I was lucky to get one.Within a 2hrs-only class, Mr. Justin did not waste any minute to teach us (mostly beginners) the most critical technique to observe the objects and how to use watercolor bring the object alive on our artwork. Everyone was so proud of their artwork at the end. The entire class was also like a art therapy, fun and very relaxing after a long day at work. I highly recommend CalColor for its profession in arts and passion in teaching.

This is my daughters favorite after school class. The teachers are professional and fun.

I sent two boys ( 5 Y and 10 Y ) to CalColor Academy Half Day Summer Camp. Kids spent 5 half days to complete 3 projects. Kids enjoyed the class and felt accomplishment with these projects. In addition, the instructors at the end of camp will give their observation and future advice to parents/students. This is a good opportunity for kids to improve their art skills in the summer.

My daughter has been studying at Cal Color since she was four. The curriculum is very structured and each lesson is inspired by the work of an artist. Kids learn the skills as well as how to appreciate art. We had lots of fun there.

My daughter was 7 year old and we moved from other States. We tried three art classes and chose CalColor Academy finally since they give the kids freedom to use their imagination and they also give them the template (subject, style and example) so that kids have a start point to explore their imagination. My daughter enjoys the class very much. Every semester, they have well settled curriculum. They give kids opportunities to explore various styles of art, for example, oil painting, watercolor painting and clay etc.. The staff are friendly and responsive. Mr. Charles is very patient, he is her favorite teacher now.

Both of my kids have been students here for almost a year, one is in the exploration class and the other is in foundation.  They love their teachers.  CalColor offers a wide variety of projects and the teachers are highly qualified artists and passionate for art, and most importantly, very good at working with young kids.  We love seeing their class projects every week and the progress they’ve made as young artists.

My son started the advanced digital art class in the new Mountain View site. He enjoys learning the tool and software to draw characters and story on the drawing pad. There are about 6-8 students in different level. The teacher teaches the common technique and then student draw subject pre their own preference in the class. The school has a good website system to track attendance and make up. There is also weekly summary email to keep parents informed on curriculum update. It is very systematic. We have good impression on the first semester. Highly recommended.

Kids love here.My daughter have several after-school program Piano, Dancing, Tennis, Chinese Language, Match. But unlike other after-school program, she love Calcolor very much. It is very important to keep and inspire kids interest even after long time yearly study.CalColor is professional and responsible. We love here.

It has truly been a pleasure getting to know CalColor . My six year old daughter was attending cal color mountain view school for 3 month . My child has done a very nice job this quarter, taking pride in her work and completing assignments homework. She has made great progress across the curriculum since the beginning of the school year. She loves her teacher Miss Kristen , she is vey nice , kind and friendly . Love CalColor five star.

Our daughter is taking art class here (5year). She really likes it and comes back home every time want to repeat and teach us what the teacher taught her in classroom. Very satisfied with the school.

My son enjoys attending CalColor Academy. He has been with this school for more than a year. The staff and instructors there are very enthusiastic, and nice, Ms. Lan, Ms. Yishu and Ms. Kristen, etc., The instructors provide a lot of creative setting during the classes. My son is really having fun there. Additionally, the instructors are very responsible to each kid. In Ms. Kristens classes, She gave a short summary to the parents and nicely answered the questions after each class. She told to each parent how his/her kid doing during the class and presented what she was going to cover in the next class. My son likes Pokemon very much. Ms. Kristen encouraged him to draw some at home and bring to the next class. Then my son would get a sticker when he showed her his drawing each time. She always smiles whenever you talk to her. I am really happy to see my son learning and playing in such friendly, wonderful environment at CalColor Academy.

My daughter has been learning in CalColor for over 2 years. They have professional teachers and friendly staff. My daughter really enjoys the classes. The teacher Amanda is gorgeous.Plan to send my 2nd kid there.

My 7 yr old started her drawing lesson at Calcolor last fall. She loves it! CalColor is a very kids friendly place, the classroom activities are interesting and creative.

My son began his drawing class two years ago at that time he was 5 years old and he took summer camp last summer. He loves Cal-color very much, he like Yisu,Rachel and Kristina, they are patient, professional with fun teaching plan, he keeps his interest on drawing and wants to continue class in Calcolor. I give five star for Calcolor.

My son has been attending Ms. Lan’s art school for 5 Years. He has been with different teachers and All the teachers in calcolor are super nice and the classes are designed for kids to draw with creativity. My daughter just turned 5 and she is in Ms. Rachel’s little kid’s class and she is really having a lot of fun. For little kids, to draw their interest is the most important and calcolor is doing an excellent job on that.

My daughter has been to Calcolor for almost two years. Art class there is still one of her favorite activities among all her after-school routines.I heard of Calcolor from a friend during a casual chat, and was instantly hooked once I talked with Ms. Lan, the school director, about her philosophy of children art education. I was not looking for a place focusing on teaching children techniques on how to draw, rather a place to liberate the splendid world in their eyes and from their inner world. It is our fortune, and the fortune of those who enroll at Calcolor, that the artist instructors there are all talented, passionate, and caring. When an artist brings her experiences onto the podium, she projects her feelings among the students, and that can have a strong effect because art, being such a medium as it is, can affect you all your life.My daughter started her art class at 5, an age with openness to any experience that might enrich her understanding of art, embraced such disparate art forms including drawing, painting, printmaking, and clay sculpture. Now she is embarking on a journal to a new realm of art exploration. Calcolor is still our choice to present just about as much art experience as possible to her.

In my opinion, Calcolor Academy is a five-star art school for young artists. My older son started his art exploring experience in Lan’s art studio, which is the precursor of Calcolor Academy. Since last year, both my boys have joined Calcolor. We really like their curriculum which allows kids to try different materials and appreciate famous artists’ masterpieces. Calcolor encourage kids to express their own ideas. In class, young artists use all different colors, shapes and compositions to express the same topic.
