The Riverside Family is so welcoming and put on such wonderful productions. I look forward to attending for many years to come!

Went to see the Color Purple and to have dinner. The musical was outstanding. The actors and actresses voices were strong and extremely clear...a true Broadway performance. The good was excellent. I enjoyed the grilled chicken with potatoes and mixed vegetables.

We won tickets on the radio. Called the box office and left a message on voicemail, but never got a call back. I called the box office back and spoke with a lady. The tickets had 7 months until they expire. They would only honor the tickets to certain shows, not the one we wanted to see. They suggested we buy tickets if we wanted to see that particular show so bad. They were content with making customers unsatisfied.

We went to go see The Color Purple. It was literally Broadway quality. The actors were AMAZING. They double as waiters and waitresses depending on the day. So if you get lucky youll get someone who is really great. I was sad that we didnt get the guy who was playing Harpo. He was so interactive with his guests.The food was okay. It was worth the $20 extra charge for going for dinner. But nothing to write home about. However and this is a big amazing plus, if you have any allergies or are lactose intolerant or anything like that You can email the chef and he will immediately email back and make sure that your plate is to your satisfaction so that you dont get sick. Hes extremely nice.It was just my husband and myself and we didnt really feel like sharing a table with anyone else but the best thing is that you can go online when you get your tickets and you pick out where you want to sit. And the first row of tables right in front of the stage are two person tables and even though I got tickets last minute I still manage to snag basically one of the best seats in the house. See my pictures, we had table F4. We will definitely be going back for more shows!

We went to this place for dinner and a show. The dinner was relatively good and they also had a vegetarian choice if that was your preferred eating habits. The show we watched was Greece and it was absolutely outstanding. This is the second time we have attended the Riverside dinner theater and both times we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

It was a surprise birthday gift from my two daughters. It was a first time experience for me to go to Riverside Theatre. The best birthday gift ever. The dinner was delicious. The performance of the broadway show Grease was one i will never forget. The cast could not have done a better job. Anyone who has not been to Riverside you need to go for the best experience that you will always remember. You will be glad you went.

Had a great time. Would recommend it and the prices were reasonable. Only complaint would be the food could have been a little better. But overall a great experience, I would go again.

Absolutely wonderful place! Staff friendly and efficient. Fantastic place to celebrate a special event. They have lots of space to host events and the theater show was incredible! Impressed with great dinner/desserts and the quality of the show. Will definitely return!!

We just saw Christmas Spectacular and it was AMAZING!! It put me right in the Christmas spirit! Thank you so much to an incredible company of performers. You did a wonderful performance. I will definitely be coming back!!!

Had a great time. Took my mom for her birthday. It was a surprise for her. She enjoyed it. We seen Grease, great show, it was great how they involved the audience in with the show.

Would have been 4 but last time I went, Grease, 2020, they requested tip on the entire ticket price including show and dinner. Service and food are fair at best. Next time Ill skip the dinner and just pay ticket price for the show. The show was good.

We were there for Riverside dinner Theater. We saw Grease- live musical theater-excellent. The meal was good to and service was excellent. A fun time.

Very entertaining evening, the cast was really good and talented. The dinner appetizer and dessert were all delicious . The band playing the music did a good job.Only down side is the chairs. They are rock hard. Bring a cushion.

Love Riverside!! My children and family have grown up loving this establishment. The dinner and theater experience is rare and fun and the high quality of the casts and shows is a wonderful and unexpected credit to small town Fredericksburg!

Lovely atmosphere and AMAZING performance. Very talented young people. The food was good, but not gourmet. Staff were friendly and quick. Go there! You will love it!

Saw Annie..great show. Facility neat and clean in all respects, good parking, food what you would expect for this type of place. Only two negatives, only one dinner roll per person and chairs not suitable for an all afternoon event.

Grease was Great, 30 minutes before show time you will be pleasantly entertained. The cast is very talented. Go enjoy the show. Im ready to go back

Every show Ive ever seen there is great if I could afford the season passes I would have them every year. Has it since I still do my best to go to 2-3 shows a year

Was so surprised to find this amazing place in my own back yard!! Saw Grease w my family. Was an awesome show and meal, so glad we were invited can wait for the next show!!

Very talented performers. Price beats Broadway and Kennedy Center prices. The food is very good, which is an improvement from previous years. The performances are very well done.

Disappointed. The food was mediocre at best; the chicken was tough, barely any sauce on it; the veggies were a jumbled mess; and the mashed potatoes were sparse. Barely one roll per person; asked for additional rolls and never got them. Service was slow and inefficient. They went up on ticket prices, and in addition now the tip is extra on top of inflated overall ticket prices. The show in most spots was no better than a high school production. There were only a few redeeming moments with truly good singers. Dont think we will be going back for quite a while until things change.

The shows are always terrific however they increased the prices and no longer include gratuity, they raised the age for senior discounts, the meals no longer reflect the atmosphere of the show and to top it off they now have paper napkins. This was our favorite date night location but i am not sure why they are becoming a cheap venue. Annie was wonderful, a great production. I gave the show and service 5 stars but management now deserves 1 star

The production of South Pacific was fantastic! All of the singers were exceptional! A wonderful experience I would encourage you to attend while it is still here! You will be happy you did! The leads especially had rich and beautiful voices!

Saw Grease. It was great except for the awful wings they had poor Sandy wear. They looked fake. It would have been so much better if they would have let Sandy go natural as her real hair looks so much better.

Went on a field trip with my daughters school. The show was phenomenal. Had to wait a long time for my lunch. But it was very good once it arrived.

This us an excellent place for a visit if you enjoy off Broadway shows. We came to see Annie and the show was amazing. We did not have dinner so I cant speak to that portion of the show. We will definitely be back.

Saw South Pacific. A dinner theater that served a good choice of food. Very nice facility, servers were also the performers and they were quite good at both jobs. The play was riveting and very close to issues in todays world. Incredible depth, and singing and acting was on par to anything on Broadway. Some performers stood out a little more but all were talented and didnt seem to miss a cue. I was in town for another event but pleased we were able to attend the show.

Very special dinner theatre. The actors are your servers and along with great food selections the food is very good. The productions are very special and very creative on how they adapted for the audience.

Disappointing. Really had changed. Been going for over 15 years. Waited a long time for dinners. Our appetizer, fried shrimp (extra cost) was salty and spicy. Old lettuce in salad. Entrees not appetizing. Watered down wine. Served a long ice tea spoon for cheesecake. Show was awesome!!

Really enjoy the shows

Impossible to find schedule information on their wrbsite, things like what time the Saturday night show starts, what time doors are open and what time meals are served. For an evening that will cost upwards of $100 per person, the management of riverside theatre can afford to update their website with useful information. Perhaps you might even generate more revenue if people could fugure out what time to arrive.....

I love this place and have seen many shows there. But tonight I was a little disappointed that they took the Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth duet out of the Christmas Spectacular show.

I absolutely love Riverside Dinner Theater. The talent is awesome. Its like having Broadway-caliber shows right in my backyard. And with a live orchestra, it cant be beat. We in Fredericksburg are so fortunate to have this fantastic venue to showcase celebrity AND local talent.

Always excellent. Super menu selections. Some of cast are servers. Saw Annie - marvelous. Sally Struthers was superb. Do the meal and show.

Went as a field trip and the performance was great. The disappointment was in two things. They had us come in to the main entrance with at least a hundred first graders and an office employee came out to fuss at the because they were being too loud. Understandable but how quiet do you expect a very large group of first grader to be when they have nothing to do? We waited in the main entrance for at least 15 minutes and were then seated at tables in front of the stage to eat our packed lunchs... They gave us an hour which is entirely too much time. Overall it wasnt bad but a little disorganized.

The experience was fantastic. This is my 4th time visiting Riverside and as always the performance was excellent. The cast are the servers and their service was as spot on as their acting & singing. The facilities might show a little age but they are still tasteful, well-kept, and clean. The only thing I had any qualms about was the noise level of the wedding reception taking place on the other side in the event hall. Another fabulous evening!

We had a wonderful time tonight. The food was excellent and the show was awesome.

This was not a great experience. Saw Annie (not my choice) and while most of the performers were good, the sound system was so loud the water in the glasses was moving. The food was mediocre and cold. Not interested in going again. But we had a great waitress who was also in the show and she was very good.

Servers where good food was just ok not big section to choose from. Sauce was not very much was hardly any cheese on it and wasnt very hot. The christmas program was great

Ive had much better experiences before, but this time it was rather poor and not worth the $77 price. Service was very poor, didnt get our drinks, and had too many servers attending to one table without communication amongst each other. Very chaotic and unorganized this time around. The play Grease, wasnt what we expected. It was good but didnt follow the movie and jumped around. They made too many changes that didnt follow or fit the movie. Rizzo was on point!

Forth show attended. Saw South Pacific, best production thus far. Cast was top notch. Planning to see Christmas and Spring shows.

A lovely lunch served by the actors prior to the play. We saw, Annie with Sally Struthers as Miss Hannity and she was hilarious! At age 72, she was very spry & energetic even crawling across stage on hands and knees. At one point she even hoisted another actress over her shoulders and carried her around! Impressive! You certainly get your moneys worth!

Food was great, show was her at atmosphere very enjoyable have been several times never disappointed

Beauty school drop out was great. Wonderful show. Rizzo casting blew my mind.

A standing ovation for our server Amy and the entire staff that was preparing to perform Mama Mia on 3/2/18! You all deserve a Tony!I was enjoying a pre-show meal with my ladies group. We couldnt wait to see Mama Mia! To everyones dismay, the high winds caused the power to go out. The staff were amazing about keeping all the patrons informed , comfortable , and safe while we waited for updates/power restoration from Dominion Energy. Unfortunately, there was a whole area outage. The show had to be cancelled. The theater immediately updated all and offered refunds or tickets for a future show. Likewise, the staff safely ushered everyone out of the building in an orderly and pleasant manner. You could tell all the performers/servers and management were beyond disappointed and embarrassed over something they had no control over. However, they remained collected , personable and gracious. After all, the show must go on even if everything is falling apart around you. Riverside Center for the Performing Arts- Bravo!!!! Ive had the pleasure of attending several dinner shows at this theater over the past 25+ years. The performances, service and food never disappoint.

Omg!!! Annie was amazing!! First time @ the Riverside Center and I enjoyed everything from beginning to the end of it all. The service was Great! The meal was delicious! The show was awesome! Took me back when I was little and watched Annie on t.v.. overall a wonderful night with a great experience.

Nice (clean, nice furnishings in the lobby, plenty of stalls in the Ladies restroom)venue to go to live dinner theatre. The local actors in Annie were very professional, several had great voices, they did a great job acting and looked like they had fun doing it. Very entertaining! Sally Struthers did an awesome job....totally amazing that a 72 year old woman lifts another female up onto her shoulders and spins around with her. OMG! The food is good but nothing special. Also, the bartender gave us gin and club soda when we had asked for gin/tonic. He exchanged them and said that his spigots werent labeled. Come on, 5 seconds to use a Sharpie to mark a T on the tonic spigot. Will return.

Went to the February 13 show and was very disappointed. There were a few cast members who I really enjoyed and they were the members who played Vince Fontaine, Miss Lynch, Rizzo and Sandy that evening.

Food was excellent, and the show was even better. The waitstaff and kitchen quickly handled my need for modification of two dishes to address allergy issues, and I enjoyed the meal immensely. The performance of Pirates of Penzance was high energy and great fun. Go and enjoy!

Latest treat was South Pacific. For a small theatre the presentation was wonderful. Every voice was professional , full throated and a delight to hear .( Goose bumps , Bloody Mary!)What a treat!Don’t miss this one!

Every year we bring our 8th grade students here for a field trip. Every year Riverside never fails to entertain with wonderful venues, outstanding effects, and amazing actors!

What’s not to love about dinner and a show!Great for date night, or family outing.

Their presentation of A Christmas Carol was the worst performance of any kind I have ever attended, bar none -& that includes local Elementary school level plays. It was so awful it was shocking. The audience sat in stunned silence as the total cast consisted of three performers in jeans destroying Dickens. Ghost of Xmas present was the female wearing a red bathrobe with rag dolls hanging on it over her jeans..and that wasnt even the worst of it. It was shockingly bad.

Best dinner threater west of Broadway. If you like musical theater and a great night out, reasonably priced, then this is it. Easy to reach, just off I-95 South, in Fredericksburg, VA, free parking just outside the door, with hotels close by to make it a weekend getaway. Be sure to tip your servers generously. They are the performers. Kudos to the executive artistic director!!!!! Never disappoints.

Very nice afternoon. Food was very good, service was excellent and play was awesome. Would recommend this for anyone that loves quality entertainment.

A good day trip to see a Broadway show and dine with friends. The waiters are the actors and they love to talk about their part in the play. Food is delicious too, with GF options.

Excellent performances! The evening shows have live orchestra/partial orchestra, daytime show did not but was still fantastic (I have only been to 1 daytime show though). Well worth time and money to visit Riverside!

Mothers Day brunch was a treat. Excellent buffet, many great food choices, friendly staff, beautiful event center. Have also seen plays there and they are high quality with talented actors. Looking forward to future events.

That was my first visit and it was awesome! Other than some of the prices being too expensive like $15 for a slice of chocolate cake, I have no complaints. The atmosphere was nice, the staff was courteous, and of course the show The Color Purple was phenomenal! Ilove that place and look forward to making it a regular place to visit a few times per year!

Hadnt been since a child. Saw beauty and the beast. It was a fantastic production. Dinner was quite good, service was admirable. A smaller arena, but done well enough that you either dont notice the adjustments, or they flowed so well you didnt care. Singers were superb, the choreography, costumes, sets, acting, the whole nine yards made for a wonderful evening. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be going back.

The evening was entertaining food delicious service wonderful the cast see your servers all on all worth the money. Second time. Will go again

Wonderful show great friends.

Saw Winnie the Pooh for a kids field trip and was very impressed. The performers did an amazing job - I think Rabbit was our favorite one by far. Everyone was professional and the show catered to the kids very well. The songs and dialogue seemed to be easily understood by them.

Outstanding show, one singer was unbelievable, acting was good, seating was uncomfortable and visibility difficult to see around peoples heads, staff very kind, took longer than expected to get a glass of water.

Last month my family and I had the pleasure of attending this awesome stage play/musical in Fredericksburg, VA. The actors/actresses voices and acting were phenomenal! The orchestra was flawless! This was the second time I’ve watched this performance. The first time was in Galveston, Texas about eight years ago. This performance is the type of musical stage playing one will never get tired of seeing! You can feel the performance through your bones and in your heart and spirit! The dinner was also excellent!

We have seen several shows and have loved each one. The last was Beauty and the Beast. The sets were very well done, the sing was wondering and the costumes were great. The food was good before, but has gotten fancier.

Lovely modern facility. Friendly accommodating wait staff, Beautiful show, talented musicians and actors, enthusiastic and organized producer, well attended, ...and delicious food!! The turkey plate and carrot cake were delicious, and there were several entree options.... It was a lovely event!!

First let me say our waiter was delightful! The entire staff was so polite. Unfortunately, the food items were not the best. I was impressed with French pinion soup! Even some of the extra menu items were not the best. HOWEVER, the show was magical! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and I would come see it again.

I love this venue for shows ! The talent is fabulous and the acoustics amazing! The orchestra also great! The food is really just average for me. But my expectations arent high for a dinner theater. The food is never bad and everything else is so good I dont mind! The parking is easy and free. I dont have to drive downtown and the shows are great! Im never disappointed!

The Riverside performances are always fantastic, and the dinner is delicious also. The actors and actresses are all so professional and extremely talented and friendly with the audiences. If you didnt know, the actors and actresses also serve as waiters and waitresses. It is a great way to get to know them personally.

We had a wonderful time on our field trip. Warren County M.S. loved the Beauty & The Beast performance. The scenery and set changes were beautiful and done so quickly and went with the action on stage. Looking forward to visiting again!

This is the best place to catch dinner and a show outside of DC. The meal is done well and the venue oozes class and dignity. Its worth the price.
