Fun layout. Short and tight. Greens rolled well. Bunkers could use a bit of work but still playable. Very friendly young man in the pro shop. No beverage cart on course. Plan accordingly on hot days. Definitely worth playing.

Player’s course. Tight fairways where errant drives will cost you dearly. Greens are fast but don’t look it. Back 9 better than front. Very enjoyable! Highly recommend. Some negative reviews really put it down but don’t be dissuaded. If u love golf u need to play this course. Highly recommend!! 3 hour round on Sunday morning. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Showed up and 9 holes were closed and they had just punched the greens. Was charged full price to play the same 9 twice. Should have been told this when I called to book the tee time on Sunday instead of driving 40 minutes and finding out about it. Was also told there would be a cart girl starting at 10am and nobody ever showed up. Much better places to play in the metroplex.

Course was in great shape. Greens read true. Monday is a good day to play. No crowd and pace of play was great!

Course was beautiful. The greens were readable after the first couple of holes to get accustomed to the speed. There wasn’t a crowd at all on the course. It was not an overbearing length for any of the holes. Birdie opportunities and opportunities to recover after a bad shot are all that I could ask for. Can’t wait to return to this course!

Perfect scenic golf course north of Fort Worth. Ive only played here once and I consider myself a decent player, but boy was it a challenging course. very tight fairways made for interesting drives all day, but it was blast.

Just enjoyed a nice round here today - course is in excellent shape. It is truly a great golf outing every time I visit. The course is usually in great shape throughout the year. I also commend the staff for their focus on the customer experience - Everyone is friendly too!The course is challenging but should be fine for all to enjoy. Whoever is giving this a five star rating is delusional, the greens are the worst Ive played on period. After the first hole we were saying a gimme was good within the putter, and by the 3rd whole anything within 2 putters was good. The course is as bad as it can get. Played today partly cloudy and 80° and we were 1 of only 3 groups on the course at noon. On the bright side since the course was empty we played 18 in 2 hours and 25 minutes.Id rather of played on greens that had just been aerated and sanded than this... too bad, this was a fun course to play back about 10 years ago.

Great staff. Beautiful place. Great place to host a wedding shower, baby shower, or a small birthday party. They even have the enclosed patio for larger parties. Recommend them to all.

My buddy and I went to play on a Friday afternoon. We took off work specifically to play golf. When we got to the course it was a ghost town. We had booked 2 spots online, but when we checked in were informed that we were to be paired up with 2 others. We requested to play alone, but the jerk of a grumpy old man made it a point to say we reserved 2 spots at that time and were paired with 2 others..... even though the course was empty.... He made it clear that we should have booked all four spots, clearly planning on the other 2 spots to be wasted. Guys like him are the reason golf courses get over booked and have trouble getting players around and the same reason groups of 2 get stuck behind groups of 5. Terrible ops management.

Ive golfer here a lot. The course is usually in good shape. I dont like the 3 or 4 holes that are super tight. Nice clubhouse though with good happy hour specials. Real good scenery on the course too.

This hotel is super nice and comfortable. The staff here are was friendly and the rates they charge for rooms are reasonable Breakfast is wonderful and has a good variety to choose from

Fun round of golf. Greens were in pretty decent shape, especially considering the triple digit heat. Some of the greens had some burn spots and some areas were hard, but overall a pleasant experience. Lots of members playing, in fact I was paired up with 2 that were both members. Just over 4 hrs on a holiday is a pretty good pace of play IMO. They probably could have used a marshall, especially in the hole 11-13 area of the course where there is a lot going on. There were a few groups playing slower, and a 10 year old got a cart stuck which held us up on the back side. It wasnt perfect but I have yet to play a course in July in Dfw that is. I went in knowing I might have to wait to hit shots and I didnt have to as much as I expected.

I dont understand how others could say this is a good course when a lot of the fairways are missing grass and very hard pan. The positive is the greens ate good in shape and the layout. Water and seed fairways is needed.

There is a reason they have cheap rates. Course is boring with four par fours cart path only. Cart girls arent interested in seeking customers, just driving around. The bartenders have closed the bar before 2 on Sundays. Pro shop attendants seemed frustrated when asked for a scorecard that is not on the cart. You can drive down the fairway on the cart path only holes, because there are not any Marshalls. If you play here, I would byob. You will not get service and bar and grill may not be open on the turn. Last option if at all.

Fairways are decent. Greens are garbage currently. Upset I paid more that $30 for this. Would rather play punched greens.

Its beautiful, great gold course, and the people are so nice and kinda definitely plan on coming back

This is a challenging course and discounts on Golfnow and other sites around $35 bucks makes it way worth it. It can get a little backed up on weekends, but during the week you can play at your own pace. There are couple of scenic holes that are awesome, but pin placements on hills on par 3s and really short and dry fairway grass makes hole 17 completely unfair. Overall its a fun course and well worth the drive for the value.

This course is very nice and challenging but fair. There are a few places where the fairways are trying to come back but they are marked GUR. Greens were great. Staff was very friendly. Great price on GN. Very much out of the way but worth it.

I give it 3 stars because of the rural location which I liked. A few decent holes but MANY give up holes in design. Lots of back tracking to get around to tee boxes. It is like they ran out of room and squeezed holes in on top of each other...especially on the back 9. There are some tough holes as well but just not a great design. Play it after some good rains and the conditions are ok but any other time of the year and it gets dry and goaty. For $55 before noon on weekends...It is not a good deal.

Im sure that you maybe will agree with some of what Im saying and some not, but I have to speak my peace, just because im that upset. I live five minutes away from this course, and Ive always wanted to play... so my bachelor party was today, and we have 6 guys including me... when we showed up it was 7:45am, there was nobody at the course, we asked the guy at the counter if it was cool that we played together. He said yes but if we get a call you will have to split up. We understood, and said if were holding anybody up we will either split up or let them go through. When we teed off, there was nobody in sight. We played the first four holes very quick, and nobody was in front or behind us for at least two holes. On hole four, the guy came to us and said im going to have to split yall up. I asked why and he said we received a call. I said from who? There was nobody within three holes of us on either side. He said we just received a call. Anyway, he left and we continued to play together because we were having so much fun, and nobody was around us. We continued this through hole 12, and at hole 12 we were actually waiting on a group in front of us to hit. A foursome was holding us up. Still nobody anywhere around us behind us. He came back to us and said he needed us to split up again and again I said sir we are waiting on the group in front of us and there is literally nobody within two holes behind us why would we have to split up? He said members have called us from their houses and said its not fair that you are letting a group of six play together and you dont let us do that.... that is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard in my life... I could see if we were being unruly, and causing trouble, and holding people up, but we were legitimately waiting on the group in front of us we were playing a serious round and nobody was waiting on us. He was very rude and cocky, and it really upset us. It ruined not only my bachelor party, but also my mindset for this course. There are plenty of nicer courses within 15 minutes of this course, and I will never play here again. I ADVISE YOU TO STAY AWAY. This was the worst customer service experience Ive ever received in my life, and I am very displeased.

Tee boxes and fairway in bad shape, lots of mud holes and standing water all over course, cart path edges drop off, use to be one of my favorite courses, hope its gets better.
