This is a cute little outdoor theater in the middle of nowhere! The venue is very intimate, it seats maybe 100 people. Their entire operation is funded very heavily by donations.Prior to doors opening, you can have a alcoholic beverage or burger at the Backyard, which is a small bar under string-up lights. They have live music playing. The artist we saw playing, Don Burke, was very talented. My husband and I watched Pan Arcadia last night, it was a whimsical interpretation of the Peter Pan and Wendy story told by human actors as puppets (but also as themselves). Ive got to admit I was very confused as to what was happening for many of the scenes but was able to get the general gist at the end. Lets just say- if you dont already know the Peter Pan story, I imagine you would be hopelessly lost. The live music was wonderful, fitting, soothing, and carried great for being in an outdoor theater. The acting was very sincere. Since you are exposed to the elements you might notice huge insects and spiders but they at least offer complimentary bug spray around the premises. This is a novel way to do date night and definitely worth a try.

I have performed on this stage for the last ten years. It is a magical place. Ive also sat in the seats as a patron many more times. The entire evening is a great experience. Arrive before the show for food and drinks in The Backyard and listen to the live performer. Head to the stage to watch the show under the stars, bring your wine with you if youre so inclined. After the play go back for more concessions, music and conversation. Youll never have another play watching experience like it.

There is no experience like it, a live outdoor theatre in the boonies. Live outdoor music before the show, a show, and hang out at the after-party. Treat yourself to a root beer float or a bucket of beer, tip well, and have a good time. This is an outdoor venue and has a rustic country feel, especially after the sun sets with a bucket of beer. Tickets run about $20 and you should tip the musician and food counter to be respectable. New shows every couple weeks, we go a few times each year and recently saw Seven Veronicas for Seven Sinatras and it was hilarious.

One of the best experiences in authentic and passionate community theater youll find anywhere. A labor of love for so many and for so long (43 years at this moment) starting with Johnny and Diane Simons. Some of the players who have made this theater and its work Great have since been promoted to Heavens troupe, but the path the blazed and foundation they laid is still strong. Dont miss this place or its productions, there is nothing like it.

Good time listening to a local group on the backyard stage. Fire pits for the cooler temps.
