This is such a good park for little ones, just learning how to play at parks. My son loves it here!

We really enjoy taking our dogs for walks here, but it would be a lot better if they paved the walkway.

It stormed why we were there. A good atmosphere. Was there last year too. Kids went and played again when the storm stopped.

Great place for the kids! I had never been there before and was thoroughly surprised! Nice area, great playground equipment, plenty of tables for eating or keeping everyone together and the biggest surprise was a very awesome splash pad!

Beautiful park that can entertain young ones all day. There are 2 playground structures, one being more challenging for bigger kids. Ground is padded under faux grass. Comfortable even on bare feet. The splash pad is a big hit! Lovely design, clean and lots of room to run around. In addition, there are restrooms on site and a pavillion for shade and seating.Behind the playgrounds and splash pad is a HUGE field that has a trail around the perimeter. Tons of room to run and play.

A beautiful park. Very clean, nice restrooms and pavillion. Walking trails and lots of playground equipment for the kids. Theres a water play area as well, the water was cold, but that didnt stop the kids from having a great time.

Two playsets (1 for older kids and 1 for younger), splash pad, padded areas around playgrounds, and a nice longer walking path around park. Very nice park with mens and womens restrooms. Lots of open area too for kite flying, frisbees, dog walking, etc!

Wow. There is this really great trail and huge grass area to play in and a splash pad, benches, nice parking, clean bathrooms.If you have kids they will love this. If you dont have kids you can walk around the track or hang in the grass and toss a football around.This is why Fort Wayne is one of the best cities for families

The walking trail at Buckner is a fantastic place to bring your dog. Theres a half mile loop of easy gravel trail, plus some woodsy adventure paths if youre willing to go tromping around with your pup (or your kids, I dont know your life!)Speaking of human kids, the playground looks really nice, with soft faux grass under the jungle gyms and swings, a little frog fountain that squirts water in summer, and a shady pavilion for picnics.

So much for kiddos to do; splash pads, climbers, swings as well as there is a large field ideal to play in. Lastly there is a short trail to get exercise or walk your dog.

We love this park. There is a place for kids to play, a walking track, a huge open area and trails. We dont use the playground but we love the open area and trails for the pup. There wasnt very many people so we let her off the leash until other people were nearby. Most people stayed by the playground.

I absolutely love this park. Perfect for tons of activities. My boy enjoys the splash pad the most and me and hubby enjoy the long walk on the trail. Its always clean to. Definetly a huge plus.

Its a nice park with water fountains for the kids to play in. Our only complaint is that there are only a few trees for shade.

This is just a fun place to take the kids or a dog (on leash, of course). Theres a fantastic splash pad, big playground equipment with a variety of things to climb and various slides. Clean restrooms. Theres a HUGE open field with a crushed gravel track around it for walking or jogging, its maybe a half mile loop, and its reasonably scenic set next to some woods and surrounded by wildflowers.

Great place 2 have a picnic as well beat the heat

Do you see how inspired this dog is? We walked the half-mile circle trail. We ran through the splash pad. We rolled in the grass. New friends were made under the shade of the pavilion. Highly recommend.

Great quiet place to visit

Beautiful quaint park with lots to do. There were wide open spaces to play lawn games, lot of picnic areas to eat, play equipment that was for all ages and a splash pad. Wonderful park with fun for all. It was dog friendly with lots of space for them to walk.

Great park. Lots of trails and a big playground. You cant even hear the highway with all the laughter and playing.

Great place to take the kids on a warm summer day! Splash pad is lots of fun and playgrounds are good for little ones and older kids too. Place to sit and watch under pavilion and changing rooms and restrooms. Perfect place for our half way meeting spot between Ohio and Michigan families Perfect for little ones to cool off and have fun. Ground was hot for bare feet be sure to wear shoes!

Location has ample parking lot with 2 playground areas for 2 to 5 and the second for 5 and up. Covered pavilion with many tables in the shade for eating a picnic lunch. The bonus is in the summer the water is turned on for the splash pad!There is a very large open space on the perimeter for playing catch or kicking a ball around. It is a wonderful place to spend the morning, afternoon or evening, definitely a must see location

I was here for a birthday party for my nephew in this park is amazing. There is stuff or every age of a kid to do the splash park is amazing its clean its beautiful and use a tell all of The equipment is new and well maintained

Buckner Park is always clean and well maintained. The separate play grounds are helpful for kids who are either just learning to climbing and maneuver or are more experienced and do it with ease. This park offers a wide variety of obstacles for kids concur. During the summer months, it is a go-to park for a significant amount of families because of the well-maintained splash pad.

Overall a great park for kids and adults. In addition to the splash pad and playground there is a water fountain and relatively clean restrooms. The splash pad itself is relatively large and has 5 different types of features. The playground has one for 2-5 year olds and then another one for older kids. My daughter who is almost 4 years old was able to go on both. Although both playgrounds have no shade kids were able to use water to wet down the slides. Additionally there is a great shaded area with tables from which you can see your kid playing.

Good pavilion, splash pad and restrooms. Not enough trees yet but theyre growing. Only one large pavilion so you are sharing space with everyone else who wants to sit in the only shade. There are a few benches around the splash pad and playground. There is a larger and a smaller playset for different skills or ages.

A wonderful park to take preschoolers and elementary aged kids. There is a splash pad and playground. A very nice shelter to eat lunch in. It is a newer park so not many trees for shade.

It was a great family fun day! We celebrated a birthday party, the only down side is that there is not enough picnic tables to accommodate all of the people that were their.

WHAT A GREAT PARK!!

We were from out of town and were amazed at the design of this little park. The kids love it and the parents were comfortable on a 90°+ day! Neighboring towns need to find out who built or designed this for FtWayne .....well done!

Buckner park is a exalent place.

Buckner Park is very nice, especially for younger children. It has play equipment devided for the youngest and older children, a splash pad, nice restrooms, a picnic area, and a field with a .5 mile dirt track. Its a busy, well maintained park.

My kids loved this place more than any of the other parks we visited. Great fun. More than just a water park.

It was a hot day we had a picnic even the adults run through the splash pad it was very fun.

Its great on days after a lot of rain because it is all astroturf. Not so great for long walks with a stroller! The walking trail is not paved! Has a waterpad in summer and two age groups play areas. I just wish they were close together. 1 parent needs to be with ALL their children.

My kids had an amazing time as always! Between the two playgrounds and the huge splash pad there is always something exciting to do here!

My 3 year old can play safely on a playground for her age that isnt just a slide.

Really nice park, even has paths that go through the woods by the park. Beautiful but a lot of poison ivy on the paths through the woods. If you want to walk the woods wear pants and shoes or boots.

The kids always have a blast here but people really need to start picking up their trash and the tiny balloons they use to throw water balloons. I completely understand that the children want to throw water balloons and thats great, but BE RESPONSIBLE! There are tiny Toddlers and I have to go pick up these little water balloons all over the place.

Its a nice place for kids to play while getting wet and cooling off from a hot summers day. Shade trees are definitely desired, however there are seated tables underneath covered shaded area. Theres a nice trail too walk or run, clean restrooms and water fountains. GPS made it Hard to find, if your not familiar with area, because of construction detour

Has a really nice splash pad (though rude children and lazy parents can be a problem at times, especially for younger/smaller kids.) The pavilion is really nice if you want or need to avoid the sun; but again, overcrowding and rude people can be an issue. The big field and gravel-lined trail that basically encircle the entire park are great for leisurely strolls, kite flying, dog walking, etc. There are some great trails in the woods behind the park, but if you get turned around out there it can be a very unpleasant experience. (Speaking from personal experience here- we ended up sloshing through some sort of marsh and then a massive wild raspberry patch with 4 very upset kids because my daughter mistakenly followed a deer trail and got everyone way off course.) =/ Overall it is one of the best parks in Fort Wayne for something to do during the day/afternoon that wont cost you any entry fees or anything.

Awesome splash pad! Has a great selection of equipment, the kids love it. It gets quite busy and there isnt enough pavilion to service the crowd it draws on warm days. It does have two playgrounds on either side of the splash pad!The field / park area does not have established trees, so again very little shaded area provided.

I think that its a good thing they put more picnic tables out bit they need more shade though. Over them
