My son worked there recently. He was not given proper breaks, was expected to lift heavy items for long periods of time without help or safety precautions, witnessed managers being sent home for erratic (similar to drug use) behavior, was using hot printing presses without proper hand protection. This is an unsafe work environment.

Local “tourist shop” but always had some cooler things than their competitors.. multiple locations along highway 98 / the beach.. been here forever, only been growing and looks like they’re not going anywhere anytime soon!!

I worked there. Not a good place to work. Your not an employee. Your a number. Y never get a raise and u definitely dont get insurance, like they. Its not even owned by Ame8

Nice clean store. Sales person was helpful with products. Amazing specials upstairs.

Their stuff says $5 off or 50% off and they do not really take off t the register. My husband paid so I didnt pay attention but once we got back to our hotel over an hour away I looked at receipt and tags on items and nothing was taken off the tag price. Jacket said reg price 19.99 and had a sticker that said $5 off but we still paid 19.99. None of the employees are helpful. Walking around never even looking your way.

My mother and my sister had went up stairs .. to try on some clothes, there was a very sweet older lady who opened up the dressing rooms for us and said we could walk out to show our mom our clothes. and a worker kind of a younger man who worked there started raising his voice and going off.. not only in-front of us but other customers. we thought it was very rude and ridiculous and left ...

Excellent souvenir spot & you get a FREE beach bag with a $25 purchase. The clearance racks have the best deals - stick to those to get more bang for your buck. Lots of styles to choose from; men, women, & children. Great t-shirt selection too! We bought clothes, magnets, shot glasses, & jewelry here. Docked a star because the flow needs major improvement. Best beach shop on the strip!

Excellent shopping experience! Okaloosa Island and Fort Walton Beach, Florida is such a beautiful place to vacation.

Nice people working there and some good sale items. Overall, this store could use an update our a makeover. The bathroom is not great according to one person in my group.Id really like to see the company invest in making this location great.

Nice shop had great souvenirs and the staff was friendly. The air brush guy was amazing! The only issue I had was the manager he was extremely rude when I asked a question. I work in the service industry and I would never get away with talking to someone that way especially coming from a manager he should be held to a higher standard.

The airbrush artist is awesome!! Talented and very nice. The store is a typical beach store. The only reason for docking a star is because the cashiers were not friendly and very unengaged...they looked grumpy. But again, the airbrush guy was fantastic!

This place was great to get souvenirs and they have tons of different clothing options to choose from. They also have lots of beach supplies and it is located very close to the beach. Overall this place is amazing!

Nice stuff at good prices

A lot of great souvenirs, but everything seems very poorly put together. The place is jammed packed with too much stuff, and it makes it very overwhelming.

I get it’s a tourist trap, but if you’re going to have names of common surf brands and surfboards advertised at least carry their surfing products. There’s a picture of a guy surfing on the front of the building yet they do not sell anything related to surfing, kooks. The only reason I’m giving them another star is because the people working were great.

The cashiers were very nice and so was the rest of the staff. This place has very nice stuff. But when we went to the check out both registers crashed so the manager came up and told the cashiers it was their fault and when they explained themselves he rolled his eyes and pulled both the cashiers aside and spoke to them quietly and when he walked away both cashiers were in tears. Nice place but needs a new manager

DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!!! My husband and I are visiting and decided to get some souvenirs before hearing back home. We went into the store at 9.30pm and picked a bunch of stuff we liked and were still shopping when a lady came and told us we needed to leave because they’ve closed and they didn’t realize we were in there. She wouldn’t let us pay for anything we had chosen and it was only 9.56pm. The website says y’all close at 11!!! I was extremely mad at how RUDE she was. Not to mention there was another customer just being served at the register. I hope y’all go out of business since y’all don’t know what good customer service is.

We went there while vacationing with our grandchildren - ages 4-years, 2-years, and 5-months. Trent spotted us looking over the t-shirts and volunteered to create for us any design that they didnt have in our size. We were so surprised and accepting of his offer! Because of Trents willingness and enthusiasm we were able to leave with the same design for all three kids. He is a wonderful asset for their store!

Get everything you need for the beach

Called in ahead and asked if they had something literally 10 minutes later they didnt have it. The parking lot was empty so they couldnt of sold out.

Alvins has everything a tourist would want when going to a beach/surf store, from a wide variety of shirts and shorts, to trinkets and hats. I pick up bottle openers from places Ive been and found a nice selection here.

The employees at the Alvins Island stores should not be in customer service. Their products are not of good quality. I could not find any practical swimsuits. You know the kind of swimsuits that you would wear for volleyball, swimming, or any other water/beach activities... yeah good luck those mythical swimsuits. Everything else is pretty much stuff that you will only use once or never use then collects in some junk pile. A lot of the jewelry seems over priced.

This place is terrible. They have hermit crabs, but some are dead in the cage. The cashiers are very opinionated and say exactly what they think of their guests. Yes, they have alot of t-shirts and such, but I wouldnt recommend this store. Go accross the street.

We stayed in Fort Walton & visited this souvenir shop three different times, during our week stay, looking for items to take him for family & ourselves.All 3 times, employees were not friendly nor helpful. My family really wanted to purchase the press-on, spray paint shirts (cant temember what theyre called lol) However, asking an employee for help on how to pick the shirt to press the design on, was useless. No help at all, some seemed rude and like it was an inconvenience asking for directions. Needless to say, we never got our shirts. We browsed the rest of the store, in my opinion, majority of the items were overpriced.One last side note: Hair braids, tattoos, and even the custom shirt designer were never available when we were there; they do not have same hours as the store (or at least in my 3 visits, thats what I was told).

Called them on the phone asking if they had 5x8 ft American flags, they said yes. i drove there, only to discover they didnt. not cool.

Family stop worked out well. Everyone found something reasonable. Nice selection.

Ten t-shirts for 10.00 wow I was able to shop for all the people I love instead of picking and choosing so nice I loved it

It was HORRIBLE. We bought the shirt with a stain on it and we found out when we got to our condo. We tried to wash it and it did not come out. The next day or 2 we went back to Alvins and they told us we needed a receipt. The other lady told us that we needed to pick out a new shirt. Then we bring the new shirt and the first lady tells us the manager said we needed a receipt. So we went and talked to the manager and we told him that we did not have receipt. He told us that he couldnt look up our card...like update your system. We walked out and we got a stain on another shirt and the pink turned white! This store is something else...
