Beautiful and peaceful place. Has comfortable trails with beautiful views.

Very rude staff! Our 2 sons went to buy ice and were confronted by a very ugly lady. She told my oldest son (13) that he shouldnt say ugly words. He had no idea what she was talking about but she continued to accuse him. Maybe she had him mixed up with another child? My boys came back very upset and confused. They had no idea what she was talking about and she wouldnt explain why she was fussing at them. Will never go back or recommend. Not kid friendly! Grass was also so grown up had to cut our site ourselves.

Great place and fun for the family

Not a bad place. Lots of trees, dirt roads, and the Bathrooms are clean. No laundry facility. The water is not swimable, there are alligators. But fishing is popular. Prive is good and its about 30 mins south of savannah.

Love this place. Family friendly, even has a dog park!

Quiet peaceful and clean, a primarly natural open pond Family Recreation Area surrounded by pictuesque Pine and Crypress Topography. Boasts Natural hiking and walking paths,multiple seperate shady picnic areas for groups, or individuals. Dotting amoungst them are eloquently placed boardwalks branch over the expansive pond boardered by lushious velvety green belt. Well equiped playareas give smaller children focal spots to release their pent up energy while Mom, Dad or Grandparents relax supervising them from close up benches. Screened pavillions ranging in size are reaservable for feative events. Outhouses and seperate intermitant pioneer water taps serve as a means to cool off in temerate or warmer weather.

Its been years since I was stationed at Ft. Stewart Ga. Holbrook pond was a nice little getaway from people for awhile. The peace and quiet was wonderful there. I never fished in the pond, but enjoyed watching the alligators out in the water. I have one picture of an alligator from there. This picture is way before cell phones. This picture is from 1984. It has faded over the years, but still brings back fond memories. Maybe one day I can go back for another visit, and take some pictures that are fresh. Wonderful place to go visit, and relax. Clean, quiet, kids enjoying playground and investigating the picnic area. Road to campground is currently flooded and pond is closed but its a great area.

Beautiful and,serene place

This campground is for Active Duty, Retired, 100% DAV, and DOD Employees. We were here on the Saint Patricks weekend, and found it nicely secluded and quiet. There are several, full service, long pull-through, 50 amp sites.Holbrook Pond is not for swimming, can have alligators, but may be fished. We walked around it several times. Its about a mile around. There is no WiFi, but I had excellent AT&T mobile service. We camped in a 32 5th wheel.

Good place for events or to bring the family. My only issue is how absolutely nasty the outdoor toilets are. I get they are basically a porta potty but there was poo all over both the womens ones seats so we couldnt use them. Does anyone maintain the area?

Wife and I did a drive over during our road trip, 1. Its wayyyyy out there, 2. Dirt access CG roadway with numerous pitholes, MWR makes enough money to scrape the roadway, beautiful scenery by the lake and ammenities, but too far out for me to get off I-95 unless for a week or more. Its really nice and quiet out there. I like that there is more then one park for kids to play on and that its made for more age ranges. I like that the basketball court is close enough to the play ground and I can see the children and still play. Also the walk is really nice around the pond! We saw cute little turtles. The signs say that there are alligators but we didnt see any even though we were looking for them lol

It beautiful theres so much wildlife (including alligators so stay away from the water) its also a good spot for kids to play(as long as they stay away from the water) while you can relax and look at the pretty scens

The fishing opportunities are definitely there. Its just annoying to have civilians there telling us theyre shutting down the area to put up Christmas lights when isportman specifically says the pond is open for fishing. We just kept fishing haha.

Great facilities!!! Basketball court and nice playground areas for kids!!! Only negative is the bathrooms for the area were a little less than clean. Would still definitely use again!

Warrior adventure quest had fun I think its 20 per person but really fun

Enjoyed it and the people were great to work with.

Holbrook pond is a nice place to go if you have a family with small kids or dont like driving around to find a decent fishing spot. There are several pay activities that you can indulge in while you are there. The place can be crowded sometimes and the fishing is not that great. There is a lot of pressure on the pond so do not expect to catch much unless is is soon after a fishing rodeo.

Great place to go fishing with the kids! They have a few park sets and covered pavilions.

Clean and quiet

Holbrook Pond Recreation Area is actually about 4 miles away from googles map point, a right turn onto 144 and another onto a barely paved road, past a bunch of other services, including RV and boat storage, pet obstacle course and boarding, paintball fields, a campground and a skeet and trap range thats NEVER been open all the times Ive driven through.
