The staff is always helpful, full of good info. 4 stars only because they are a bit on the high side for prices. Good quality equipment comes at a cost, but I dont always need elite equipment.

I only gave this place two stars rather than one star because the service seems to be getting better. My first encounter with whites was when I took a rod in that needed a new tip. They told me to come back tomorrow. When I did I got put off until a few days later. A few days later eventually became a few weeks before it was done. I swore I would never go back. Recently they were the only place in town that had something I needed so I called and they were wonderful. One of the guys in the store even pulled the items from the store shelves and had them waiting for me at the counter when I arrived. Their prices are a little high compared to others. But they do have a good selection of items. Maybe someday I will get over that initial encounter. Maybe the moral of the story is take your rods someplace else to be repaired!

Took 2 rods to be repaired. One needed a tip replaced and the other the tip and the eye replaced. They weren’t expensive rods, but one was my favorite. Took in on a Saturday and they said they send the poles out to be fixed on mondays and repaired things come back next Monday. I called several times to see if they were ready. I was finally told that they would call me when they are back. I waited six weeks and finally called them and they said yes they are ready. Not sure why they never called me like they said they would. I went to pick them up and they said one wasn’t ready yet, it would be a little bit. Now wondering what was going on since they said they sent rods out to be fixed. After another 15 minutes he came out with my rods and I told him I could have done a better job on the tips than they did. There was blobs of glue on both tips. Crappiest job I ever saw. I paid the 25.00 and left and would never even consider giving them any more of my business. Wish I would have read your reviews before I wasted my time and money on the nonsense job you did.

Ive been going to whites tackle since I was a child..But I will never go there again.. They dont warranty the things they sell. They seem knowledgeable but there just sales men.. save yourself the hassle and buy online.. This is one local company they should not be helped..#boycottwhitstackle

Fantastic selection, amazing customer service

Came into the store in a rush to find a whip finish tool for fly tying, knew what I needed, asked for help, was told where to look, instead of being helped, didnt find what I was looking for... the two employees working just kept talking about how useless the other employees were... They didnt help, big shocker there. I left without what I needed. This was 1/20/2020 @ ~noon. I had my mother in the car, and she couldnt be left alone long. Love the gear and section there, but apparently, whining about other employees, and being useless was more important than helping a customer... Thats not how my business works nor should any other.

Awesome transaction for a hard to find, discontinued reel. These guys are very friendly and did an amazing job getting a reel from Florida to Montana. Highly recommend.

Its sad when you look to give the local peeps business and they tell you Your better off buying new then repairing a fishing reel ! Said it would cost 50 plus dollars to get a new Handel for a reel ..only to get on through the company web site for 15 dollars !! Go figure there logic ? Oh well reel fixed time to fish ...sorry you didnt like my money !
