I think that this was a very reasonably priced attraction, great for little kids. 5 of us went for $17. All the staff were very friendly and there was enough to see to keep the family busy for about 30 minutes. All around a good value.

My daughters (5 and 2) enjoyed themselves so much they didnt want to leave. We did the whole aquarium 2.5 times (its small but perfect for small kids with short attention span). Then we had a picnic outside, played a bit then walked along the water (beautiful view). Finally went for a splash in the inlet. Simple, affordable/free, clean and wholesome family fun.

Eric Wilbur is the gift shop manager and one of the nicest and patient people I have ever met. I would recommend this aquarium highly, its small but packed with knowledge and informational tours, videos, and staff. They also have a wonderful park where the kids can play and learn some more. Fun for everyone that goes. Entrance fee is typically 5 or so dollars and on Tuesdays I believe it is free!

I will start by saying this is a bit of a small aquarium but it is so interesting and so relaxed and casual inside! I could have sat all day and just watched some of the tanks! The touch tank was really cool! You definitely need to do the aquarium along with the history center! Bring a lunch and enjoy the park there as well! Definitely worth going and spending some time here!

We visited the St Lucie aquarium for a Homeschool field trip, and everyone had a wonderful time. The guides were knowledgeable and patient with a wide range of kids, they offered water shoes for the kids who didnt have any. The aquarium itself is small but the outdoor seining experience more was pretty amazing, and kept the older kids engaged.

This is a very small aquarium, but very nice and have displays that are different from others I have seen. Specifically, some awesome jellyfish in a beautifully black display, and a microscopic view of a tiny shark swimming inside its unhatched egg casing. There were plenty of staff volunteers there to answer questions and point out interesting aquatic life. If you have kids, there are plenty of activities to keep them interested for about an hour.If you are older, and into history, go visit the Ft. Pierce History Museum on the same property. It is absolutely amazing at how many interesting things they have in that museum! They are a hidden gem. You can do a self-tour with hand-held listening devices, explaining all the history of the Treasure Coast.

This is a very small aquarium (5,000 square feet) but it only costs $4 to get in, $7 if you buy the combo historical tour ticket. Admission is free on the first Tuesday of every month. The aquarium is managed by the St. Lucie Board of County Commissioners and the Smithsonian Marine Station in Fort Pierce.Inside the aquarium is the Smithsonian Marine Ecosystem exhibits which explores the Indian River Lagoon. The Indian River Lagoon stretches 156 miles from Ponce De Leon Inlet to Jupiter and contains over 3,000 different organisms. A popular exhibit is the living model of the coral reef ecosystem that was displayed in the Smithsonians National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC for twenty years. The six aquarium tanks are models of the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. There is also a touch tank, shells, and other interactive hands on activities. When combined with the history museum you can spend an afternoon at Museum Pointe Park. My favorite exhibit in the aquarium was the seahorse tank. There is also a small gift shop that carries marine related items. It was nice to see families members of all ages enjoying the aquarium together. If you have a love of the ocean and the creatures that inhabit it you will want to add this place to you Fort Pierce itinerary.

Cool scenery with family friendly activities. The seafood was fresh but quiet salty and under seasoned. The way you had to almost catch your meal became a little infuriating but once you got the hang of it, it was worth the effort. Downside to the dinning is the kids. Whenever I would begin eating they would scream non stop, even parents couldn’t get them to stop. My suggestion is to go late at night when the activity is low, anything for fresh seafood now a days.

This facility is worth seeking out and spending a couple of hours visiting. It is not large. That said, visitors will find it staffed with accomplished Smithsonian researchers who willingly convey their knowledge with anybody who indicates an interest. For visitors so inclined, they can learn more than at many of the larger, more encompassing aquariums.

Small but mighty. Great place to see the parts of the local ecosystems of the river estuary and ocean. The main aquarium tank is a fabulous display of sea coral; and they are trying to continually grow it. I fell in love with the seahorses here; and the odd fish that we would never get to sea in the wild. Interesting place if you are wanting to do more then sit on the beach or play pickleball.
