Just saw Million Dollar Quartet, an impromptu jam session with Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Perkins in December 4, 1956 which also included story of Sun Record Studios. The play was outstanding, actors were marvelous in portraying the actual musicians and just a thrill of fun!The theater itself is lovely, as you come inside a sundry of little shops carrying clothing and accessories to the right, and to the left the lobby and entrance to stage. Stage is not cramped, plenty of seating, good view, and well air conditioned. First time coming and looking forward to future visits. Worth it!

Excellent production of August Wilsons Fences in a classic old Fort Myers structure. Go for a meal at Firestone, before the play walk the streets and view the welded sheet metal sculptures of local characters in characteristic poses, or shop for the eclectic fashions across from the box office.

Absolutely one of the best repertory theaters in the country!!!!We go to The Florida Rep at least twice each season because they consistently choose an interesting variety of plays, that are very well acted, and take place in an extremely comfortable theater. They also have a second, more intimate adjoining theater, where they perform more contemporary (sometimes world premieres) plays. Additionally they have been adding some musical tributes that achieve the same high standards - Patsy Cline, Nat King Cole, etc. You will not be disappointed - make it a night by purchasing advance tickets to a show and dine or drink in town before or after the performance.

Love the old theater style. Outstanding production of An Inspector Calls. A/C needed to be turned on a bit sooner but it did fool fast and stayed consistent when they did turn it on. Everything else was perfect.

I had back row seats and the sight lines were pretty good and the sound was fine. Very professional production all the way around. I went to a preview performance so I would expect regular shoes to be quite good. We saw An Inspector Visits.

It was my friend and my first time there and How the Other Half Loves was so good and funny. All the actors were fabulous. I love how they mixed Thursday and Friday nights together and watching Mary and William Featherstone cracked me up being at dinner with both couples simultaneously and whipping their heads back and forth to play the different parts. The gentleman next to me had been there quite often and said that had to be the best show hes seen there. It was a wonderful experience and enjoyable afternoon.

If I lived in the area I would absolutely be a regular. What amazed me the most was the parking right across the narrow two lane street. It was so close. The theater is in a mall of sorts. Its off a short walk-through to the next street where there are a lot of really nice restaurants.Usually going to a theater is a lot of walking, but not here. So easy to get to!The theater itself was also great, with ushers taking you to your seats. They really moved people along without you feeling rushed. Very good crowd control. You never realized there were a lot of people there. I think someone said it seated 400. There were just a few empty seats that I saw, yet it was easier than going to a movie theater. The show was also very good. The only negative was the entryway was very sloped, so someone on crutches or a walker might feel unsteady. I noticed they brought someone in a wheelchair through the side exit by the stage. All told a very pleasant experience and I gladly give it the 5 stars it deserved.

I saw the play Fences here and it was better than the movie! The actors were superb and active duty military get free tickets. They also have a bar and you can get wine, beer and cocktails for a decent price. The audience was very respectful and it was overall an amazing experience. They also have free parking which is a plus, especially for Fort Myers. They will be showing Million Dollar Quartet from March to April and I highly recommend everyone go and see it!

Nice little theater, that has great acoustics. Not very expensive to watch quality plays. Reasonable prices for wine, beer and snacks. Good sightlines without other heads being in your way. For this particular play Hay Fever the set was very will designed and presented.

This is a great show place. We have been going to a matinee every year for the past 5 or 6 years and have yet to see a bad show. The acting has been terrific, the staging excellent and the music first rate! The theater is small, quaint, intimate in fact, but all of that adds up to make the experience even more enjoyable.

The Historic Arcade Theater in down town Ft. Myers is host to one of the top theater companies in the country. This proscenium style theatre is a jewel box with 393 seats. I prefer this over the larger auditoriums where you are too far removed from the story. We enjoyed two productions this past season, How the Other Half Loves and Cabaret, and our experience compared favorable to those we have attended on Broadway, the Londons West End and the Entertainment District in Toronto. We are looking forward to another great season at the Rep!

I went with a group of 12 to see Sylvia. I had seen it before at a small play house and thought it was cute. The language though was totally unnecessary. There was no need for shock value and there are so many other ways to say it that would have been funnier. I didnt see the need to take the Lords name in vane either. If thats the best writing you can get from your college education you paid to much for it. I do like the theater there isnt a bad seat in the house the actors and sets were very good. I really enjoyed to kill a mockingbird you gave a big screen performance on a small stage. Im looking forward to seeing a miracle worker. I hope that people wont judge all your plays on this one.
