It was great kids had fun nice shade, only thing is if you own any kind of an aggressive breed of dog even if it isnt aggressive people profile it and want to call animal control. Police here are very nice they were understanding of the situation an left just as quick as they arrived...

Trail walking and running on my favorite nature trail. This 2.5 mile loop is along the East Platte River on the north side of Fort Morgan. It has numerous switchbacks to add mileage as well as a remarkable rainbow bridge. The trail is well maintained gravel and is kept tidy. Fishing is available in the many ponds toward the east, and it boasts one of the best frisbee golf courses in the US.

Great location during the day to park and eat lunch on your tailgate. Although its next to a sugar beet factory, it has great scenery and atmosphere. At night it is a fun area to hang out for youth and has a respectable curfew of 11pm.

I love this park. It almost lost a star because the overnight rv parking is only 20 amp and runs parallel to the expressway. But neither of those would stop me from coming back. There is so much offered here between the lakes with various geese and ducks, all the sports activities and hiking trails. Its beautiful.

Nice park... just wish they could open it back up for camping, I do know why they closed it after 11pm, but if people would respect the things they use, and take care of it, but maybe they could hire a night crew, to patrol the park, make sure those who are camping are aware and understand whats going on, ha lol I guess thats called a police officer, just someone who would help those staying there

I just drove up to the park today from Denver. I think this is a very nice park, after all it has a pond. The reason for my visit was to check out the camping area. Overall this place to me for a in town camping area is better than most, my reasoning you ask well i will sum it up in two words free electric SHORE POWER If your out with the fam and it getting dark time for the kiddies to get into rv, tent, truck or car whatever your camping in that one amenity will make a big difference that night with power you able to watch television DVDs use your laptop use your cell phone use anything that uses power without worry of you burning your batteries out or using a generator to produce power. That is of course if your also dont have a solar system. So again over all people pay good money for this one amenity that you able to get for free I think its very worthwhile the ghost day and night or more. Again this is my opinion I did not stay the night I just went up to have a look I hope this helps you with your decisions about camping or just day visiting the park. And FYI theres gas stations not even 5 minutes away on the Southside Highway 76 fast food restaurants also.

While traveling through the area in our RV, it was nice to have a place to camp overnight with the bonus of complimentary electricity. Review №57

This is a beautiful park with tons of facilities and ways to have fun. They have a playground, a pool, sports fields, a beach volleyball pit, plus nature trails. The pond here has lots of geese and ducks which are fun to feed and watch. My only issue is the camp ground area attracts some unsavory people and might possibly be illegal since there arent proper camping facilities. Also people sometimes leave their trash around so do everyone a favor and clean it up so we can keep this area pretty.

We stopped here to make lunch on our way to Denver. It was over 90 degrees when we were there but the beautiful large trees provided great shade! Bathrooms could use some cleaning, but besides that a great place to stop.

An
Review №59

We love to go here and see all the ducks and geese its a great place to picnic and I like to make a habit of it. It has access to the river baseball fields, frisbee golf and even camping. The bridge by the highway is a Historic Landmark and worth the visit as is the old water department building. Many of the geese and Ducks are permanent residents and breed there so its need to come back year after year to see the permanent residents as well as all the migrating geese.

Editors note...the first part of this review came before the second part.Obviously derr! The first half contains my initial impressions which were a bit lacking and also less than thorough. I did return to get more information and have added that bit near the end. So then with no further ado...the review.Maybe I have just been spoiled insofar as having really lovely city parks steeped in history and alive with flora and fauna. Even Monroe Park in downtown Richmond Va which is lousy with street people and illicit activities still has at least one person playing guitar or violin and still one can find an artist or two and plus the hobos stick to themselves and dont bother the folks strolling through for the most part. It was still one of the dumpiest parks the city offered yet it still had a lil something to enjoy. Riverside park...to me its just bland. Not much going on from what I saw as far as landscaping or walking paths, maybe exercise area? I think I saw a fountain but if there was one it was not working. There is a bath room and seemed like a fair amount of people taking lunch in their cars although Im certain they were more day drinking being that when you are done with your lunch and throw the bag away it should not sound like an empty partial six pack. I think maybe there was some activity regarding having a place to meet up and then leave a car to go elsewhere with the individual with whom the rendezvous was with, but thats what public parking is for right? I must say I am going to go back soon to get another observation and more information because city parks should be fun places with nice landscaping and playgrounds and I feel like I just did not have the opportunity to really look around. I was meeting as friend so she could leave her car and we go elsewhere. Guilty! But you know I didnt even notice the river...it does have a river right next to it by judging by the name and the bridged traversed to arrive. Lets hope I get a better impression but at any rate I shall revisit both the park and this time for the purpose of visiting the park. I feel u would owe so much to give the reader a honest and true review...And so upon returning I did see there was a sizable playground and plenty of lush areas of grass upon which to frolic. Also there is a river or at least a small strip of moving water right next to the park. I did see more of what one would hope to see as far as park activities and no day drinking oppressed looking office worker types. I have to think its a matter of this time I visited on the weekend and during warmer weather versus the middle of the week during winter. I will be giving this park one additional star in light of the these new discoveries. I hope the park will forgive me for not thinking it was a nice place to be and enjoy ones self.

Awesome park. Nice trail for running - good scenery. Suitable for a short bike ride too. Disc golf course great. but last time I went the signs are missing from the timber post at every one of the tees, so finding the next tee box was a big challenge. Are they being replaced? Someone made the effort to write out the information on posts with a black marker - 1,000 thanks to that person.Geese population here is also out of control - poo is everywhere, but thats a problem at any park these days. With the upwind 24-7 sugar mill, consider hanging out in the east half on windy days, it can smell like you are inside a cloud of death itself and will indeed bring tears to your eyes.Camping area here is great thing that more small towns need to have - city is considering ending it, because of locals loitering in the parking lots all night. I think ending the camping area is a bad move - it brings people into the town to spend money. That means more economic activity, which the town seriously needs. In summary, I like the park. Show up, and have fun. Tell the city to not close the campground.

I didnt dislike the park. It previoudly had electrical hookups for RV parking. The city council decided that the folks there were a criminal element snd were responsible for the damage that the school kids were trying to keep a clear path around and closed down those amenities which did not even go far enough to supply a mans basic needs.
