Immaculate vibes! wonderful date night! it’s sorta speakeasy themed, but it’s warm and comforting and lovely. the jazz pianist was incredible and people were just dancing around. i had the steak and tots and i can’t explain it, but it tasted like christmas. delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. 10/10 recommend

Ace is the one place I always go when I am in Fort Collins. They have the best staff, and the best drinks, in all of FoCo.

The best place I have visited in Fort Collins. Everything from the atmosphere to the food to the entertainment was exceptional. The buttermilk pork chop was tender and perfectly seasoned. It is honestly on par with any downtown Chicago restaurant. Definitely visit if you want a high class dinner and show.

Great renovation! Lots of space for COVID distancing. They were packed. Check out their new menu! We were fairly regular customers before they renovated. First time back was tonight. New drink menu is creative and forgiving (they will refund drinks if you dont like it). Staff very friendly. Only down side: kinda spendy.

We had the lunch special A Hamburger and a Beer. OMG the best Burger I have ever had really the flavor of the meat was incredible I wished I lived close I could go once a week . It came with a side I chose the tots everyone else had the salad it was a great deal all for less than $10. Did I mentioned the flavor of that Burger OMG

Came for a wonderful lunch at the Cafe outside under the awning. Great staff, and had a nice tour of the updated lounge area with with Samantha the manager. Well be back for dinner and (dj spun) music (hope live music isnt too far off).

Classy joint. Very quaint and dark... which I like... and totally professional. You definitely must stop by to have a drink and see some incredible musicians. Let them get warmed up and youll hear some sick jazz. Total prohibition feel. Get some!

A really cool spot in old Town Ft Collins for jazz and drinks. Has a nice, old school bar feel with wonderful music and friendly staff. I was actually impressed with wine choices. Most bars dont make an effort.

It feels a little less classy since the remodel but its still a great jazz bar, but if you loved the nice white decor then you may be dissapointed. Still my favorite jazz bar in towm though.

1st time there. A very classy club with great, friendly staff. Very affordable beer, wine and mixed drinks. The jazz music compliments the laid back atmosphere of this club. Ben Markleys Trio was the icing on the cake, with tunes that fit perfectly with the unique mood of this club. Highly recommended!

Bartenders and wait staff are extremely friendly and personable. Fantastic knowledge of cocktails, and delicious food that wont break the bank. Returning patrons are often remembered on a first name basis. Live jazz music is always high caliber and fitting for the room. I have always had a great time and been impressed with Ace!

Very well kept and clean it is always a great and amazing experience. They have been closed due to renovations. Which didnt need them because it was amazing the way it was.

This place has kind of gone down hill. This used to be my favorite joint in Fort Collins. However, my last visit they no longer know how to make any of their amazing drinks. Also, their menu used to be super bomb. They had duck tacos, and the best hummus I’ve ever had. Now the only thing that’s still there is the crab Mac. Rewind a year or two ago this place was 5 star material. Now it’s just overpriced drinks and food.

This was my first time in a lounge and I wish we had one of these back home. Extremely chill atmosphere with great food and live music. Its more of a tapas place in my opinion: I didnt find any entree I really wanted but all the appetizers were very good. We had the french fries, the hummus and the mashed potatoes. Our server was excellently attentive but not overbearing when we wanted to just chill with the music for a bit.

Its so wonderful to be able to enjoy jazz at a hip local spot and not have to drive to Denver. The food was delicious and quickly delivered. I wish I could eat truffle fries everyday! I was the DD so I didnt get to enjoy their cocktails, but my friends had a couple rounds and loved them.

Great first time experience last night. Doorman was very polite and expressed the enthusiasm of having customers. Service from the very tall waiter was stellar. He didnt miss a beat. Everyone got to relax and enjoy as long as we liked but they hussled to clean a table for the next set of guests. Classy place with lovely music. It is a great place to socialize and drink. They have a menu with food to couple with your drinks and have water and coffee for those that dont; regardless servers were very friendly.

This is our favorite spot in town to sit and enjoy a cocktail while listening to live music! The atmosphere is classy, the service is fantastic, and the drinks are made to perfection! When you live in a college town as a 30 something professional you appreciate the upscale patrons you find at this place. My favorite drink is the Ruby Soho and their brownie dessert!Ps. The vibe here is classy & sultry and the staff treats you supremely well. If youre looking for delicious drinks, wonderful service, and some nice jazz than this is the place to go.

So, so, so very loud. Im a concert-goer 30-something but if youre on OpenTable and have a dinner menu you shouldnt make your customers wait for a song break to squeeze in some dialogue. It was kinda confusing as it seemed like we were the only ones there trying to treat it as a restaurant. Making a reservation and showing up to a bar atmosphere was uncomfortable. Either way is cool but I wish it were clearer. The server was entirely absent, which didnt help. Food was fine and the drinks were really good. My experience may have been unique and my visit was five months before this review so its time for me to revisit, I guess. This time with no reservation and just for drinks.

This is a cool bar that is pretty hip with good live jazz playing. They have a wide variety of drinks that are all awesome. The food is top notch and the service is excellent!! A definite must if you are out in Ft. Collins bar hopping or to take a date on. You will not be disappointed.

I knew it could not last.Original (2017):This establishment is a once in a lifetime kind of place. The drink menu is updated regularly. The musicians are the finest of folk. The glassware is to be appreciated like fine art, and the drinks are exquisite craft. The food is Michelin quality. The staff put their souls into every drink. Tip well. Enjoy your time here because you may never come across a place like this again.

I love this place. It’s just a really cool place to be, the food is great, the drinks are great, the service is great. Why not 5 stars, you may ask. Well, the music, which was also very good, was way too loud. The vision I had was to go to dinner with my sister and her husband who are visiting from out of town, have a nice dinner and enjoy each other’s company. My vision of a perfect night would be to have some nice jazz music playing in the BACKGROUND, so we could chat and hear each other without shouting. That would have been great. I asked them to fix this, and they did turn it down a little, but not really enough. I will go back, but I’ll also turn around and go elsewhere if the music is too loud. I didn’t come to Ace to hear music. I came to eat and enjoy the company I was with. It was all about the music that night. I happen to be a person who listens to music very loud when I listen to music. I didn’t go there to listen to loud music though. There are other places for that, like in my car or my den or a music venue, not a restaurant.

Better get there early to get a seat in the main lounge. Overflow room doesnt have a view of the band. They seldom have vocals-I wish they did more jazz vocals. Drinks are fine. Tapas are fine too.

I always enjoy going here. The drinks are fabulous and the service is usually very good. But I don’t go here to eat, I go here for after dinner drinks. The menu is so small and overpriced. And of course the prices keep going up. A side of fries that was $4 was $7 the other night. They also reduced the dessert menu to pretty much nothing. They used to have soufflé that was hit or miss but was still the best dessert on the menu. I suggest eat somewhere you love and go here for an after dinner drink only.

Ace Gilletts is one of our favorite spots in all of Fort Collins. We love the atmosphere and music and the delicious selection of drinks and food. The space is wonderfully cozy and comfortable, and the bartenders and table servers are universally excellent. One server in particular (whose name escapes me, unfortunately) is amazing. Weve gone months without going to Ace Gilletts, and when we return and sit in her section, she manages to remember our drinks and names and everything, and it really tends to make one feel special.If youre looking to have a delicious drink in a really nice atmosphere with wonderful service, I cant recommend Ace Gilletts enough.

Great atmosphere, entertainment, and food! Menu changes with the season but my favorite item was the steak tacos and the amazing best brownie in the world there is nothing like that brownie anywhere!!!2020 update: they recently made a lot of changes to this place. Some of them are good, but unfortunately they changed the menu and removed a lot of things that my friends and I really liked, especially the phyllo dough cover brownie. Now the brownie that you can get there you could really get anywhere else or make at home. They also removed a lot of the tapas and shared dishes and now only have a few that are not really that great. This used to be a favorite place to go on date night and with the girls because of the amazing and unique food and the jazz.

Pretty rad little-known FoCo hidden gem. Its one of those its always been there....but you just didnt know about it kind of places. Great mixed drinks. Good place to hang out with friends. Totally not stuffy and the bar tenders are always friendly.

This was our premier destination for my birthday celebration -- the service was amazing, the food and cocktails were wonderful, but the entire experience was disappointing because of the noise level. Where we were sitting (in the dining room), not only could we not hear the music, we couldnt hear each other well enough to have any conversation. After yelling at each other for about 2 hours, we decided to leave and go elsewhere.Additional disappointment: right after being seated, the hostess spilled a glass of water in my friends lap, and made no amends. I was a little embarrassed at that point to have chosen to invite my guests to this place. Thankfully our server was awesome and we didnt dwell on the hostess poor treatment of my friend.Bottom line: Although the food was incredible and the service was wonderful, I probably will not be hosting future parties here. I might try sitting at the bar to enjoy a drink (the cocktails are delicious!) and to see if the atmosphere on that side of the establishment is any better.

Its in old town, I hate going to old town because parking is always a pain in the arse and I get door dings all the time when I park down there. The place is nice inside. They have some good drinks and priced well during happy hour. Its in the basement and insulated well, so my deep voice carries across the room very easily. I have found that the place attracts a lot of yuppies / sorority/fraternity type people, maybe this is what is called as being Trendy? I dont know. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The food is good from what I have tried. I think the only reason why I dont really like or dislike the place is because my voice carries to easily and the last time I was their some guy and dip of a girlfriend interjected themselves into a conversation that I was having with 4 other friends and tried to start an argument with us. I wanted to get up and smack him around, but I had 3 drinks and decided that might not be a good idea due to my condition at the time, and I dont want to be banned from the place. I will say that my 4 friends that I was their with Love that place and that is why I was there.

Jake (bartender) was phenomenal. He gave us a run down of the city. Pointers on where to go and ended up being great peaceful night. Hats off to him as an employee to Ace gilletts Lounge I never would have known about this place without him. Jakes manager was and also great mixologist that gave us an excellent experience. Highly recommend this Lounge for anybody in the area that wants to experience of live music and a great experience!!!

Favorite dinner spot. Swanky jazz, awesome atmosphere, wonderful staff, beautiful location. Best speakeasy in town with really cool history. Asiago cheese fries are the best thing Ive ever eaten.

Interesting, flavorful food in perfect portions, great cocktails. Once in awhile the live music suddenly morphs into jazz karaoke which always makes us leave. Wish there were more booths, as we generally get stuck at the bar. Staff is attentive and prompt. A favorite nightspot downtown.

This place will transform you to a different era. Walking down the stairs to the entrance from the downtown area instantly transports you back to an earlier easier time. As you walk in you leave your problems at the door and instantly relax in the dark atmosphere and find a tranquility hard to find these days. Elegant food to share with a loved one or friends and amazing mixology cocktails complete the experiance. The servers are extremely personable and treat you like you have known them for years and are part of the family. A special shout out to our server Sam she was amazing and able to help us navigate what would be right up our alley. Also, Simone the serving assistant was always on top of refiling our water and extremely friendly and great to talk to. If youre within 30miles this is a must stop for anyone looking for a relaxing night out.

This place was great. The cocktails were perfect, the food was original, fresh, and tasty. The vibes were low key, classy, and comfortable. Perfect date night. I would have paid a lot more than I did to eat this food. It was better than some of the higher prices joints in town, with a similar menu. Highly recommend.

Very good music and the tapas are awesome, but if you are a serious jazzophile dont sit in the back room. Too noisy for music listening. Stand up in the main room or go to The Bistro around the corner.

Ive had the best drinks made here (tasty and strong, seriously the bartenders know what they are doing with their cocktails)! This lovely and fancy bar is beautifully decorated and a wonderful place to go on a date or with your good friends. They have great musicians play jazz music on the weekends which really gives the place a special warmth to it. Most importantly they have the best staff who know how to take care of their customers and do even the tiniest things to let you have a wonderful evening there, like making sure your water glass is always full. Hands down this is one of the best bar Ive ever been to and Ive travelled around the world!

I love coming here. The atmosphere is great with a speakeasy vibe. The bartenders are truly top notch. The service is always cordial. Every menu item Ive eaten has been very tasty and a pretty good value. The happy hour is a great deal.Did I mention the jazz. The have pretty great jazz.

Probably my favorite bar in Fort Collins when I want to feel fancy, which is most times. Sam is the best waitress in town, bar none. Excellent quality food and drink. Live jazz is a plus.

Unfortunately, this place has gone down hill. Super sad about really. They just reopened a few weeks ago (early March 2020) and its clear they have a new business plan. The drink menu is about 1/3 the size it used to be. There are fewer seats (we estimated about 20 less) so waiting is almost guaranteed. The music is all DJ based now until the band comes on. To loud and the speakers just dont sound great in a low ceiling basement setting. After we waited for 40 minutes we were seated....to only wait another 20 minutes for our drinks to come. Actually, after 20 minutes we got up and left. Never even saw our drinks. What wsa once the best place in Fort Collins has now become something else. We are super sad and probably wont be back.

Great atmosphere reminiscent of a speakeasy and the drinks were delicious. The only downside was that the band was rather loud, once they start playing its hard to hear the person next to you even when theyre practically shouting.

Would not recommend for the food. The atmosphere is nice and didnt stay long enough for the jazz but would recommend just going there after dinner for drinks and music.Execution and plating of food we had was off and overall mediocre for the price. Tries to be fancy but hits the mark. The Brussels had a weird flavor combo and the duck confit was a giant bowl of polenta with a few pieces of chewy duck scraps on top. Definitely would not call that duck confit Other food was just ok.

Drinks are amazing. One of the only places where I can say Suprise me and not be the least bit nervous. The atmosphere is always classy but relaxed.

We just had our amazing wedding event at The Armstrong Hotel and Ace Gilletts! We rented out the entire space and this venue really does it all! The food was decadent, including charcuterie, heavy hors doeuvres, and dessert bar including macaroons specially made for our wedding. The Beverages are top notch, along with the bartenders and wait staff. The Jazz Musicians are the ultimate performers. Our extended family stayed at the Armstrong Hotel for the weekend and were treated like royals. And Kelley the event Planner is mastermind behind it all, she is truly amazing and an absolute pleasure to work with! This historical hotel offers such a unique space for any event and really is the full package. I highly recommend this venue!

You guys have to do something about the noise level. The. Music is usually brilliant but I can barely hear it over the screening. I recommend that people who want to talk be seated in the back ,away from the band. Conversely, people who come to listen should be seated by the band. Why not make it a club policy?

Our entire party had a wonderful time! It was louder than expected, but we were fortunate to be near the door. Our server, Samantha G, was terrific and added to a great experience! The food was delicious and well be back for sure.
