Very nice children’s museum. We spent quite a bit of time amusing the kids. They have a tots zone that is just right for toddlers. They have costumes for the tots to wear while they play. Even the adults were entertained with the musical instruments interactive stations. Very nice place to spend the afternoon and have some fun.

Lots of reviews geared toward those with kids, but this is a great place for adults to come learn about the history of Fort Collins and see some interesting items. Fully recommend if you have a free afternoon. You’ll spend longer here than you may think, give it a good 2 hours at least.

Wow! What a fun museum! Highly recommend stopping by here if your in the area with kids. So interactive! Our favorite section was all of the musical instruments. It was really neat that my son got to play with a DJ set up.

Everyone can touch the same exhibits without cleaning in between but only one kid in the toddler area at a time. Dont see the logic in that. Some of the staff give you dirty looks for touching exhibits (which they later clean) and some dont. Heaven forbid not being able to play on your cell phone your entire shift (most of them were). Im sure in non covid times people would be more pleasant. The exhibits themselves are fun.

We love the FoCo M.O.D! We have catered a few events there and have been so impressed by the facility and their staff. The rooftop patio is beautiful, they have one of two 360 domes in Colorado (they find the coolest ways to use it too, local 360 animation?! ), and your guests can find their inner child with the amazing interactive exhibits. All around win win!

What a fun place to take our kids! We recently got a membership for Christmas which makes going so much more enjoyable. I do think it’s a bit pricey to pay each time you go and feel like I have to stay a while go get my money’s worth so with a membership, dropping in for an hour with the kids is doable and much more enjoyable. I have kids from 2-8 and they all find something to enjoy.

I always visit the gift shop first. The gift shop at FCMoD has a lot of neat stuff from things you would find at other gift shops and expect to find kids clothes, stuffed animals, etc., to things you wont find at other gift shops. My favorite is usually their jewelry. Last time we went I bought a necklace that was crafted by local Metalsmith Pam Cook and have received no less than a dozen compliments since I purchased it. By the front door they have a Black-Footed Ferret that is fun to watch. As far as the rest of the museum, there its too much to describe but it is worth the visits. They have multiple resting areas including a cafe and roof access to view Fort Collins.

As a recent transplant to Colorado I am discovering many things to do. I have been to the Museum of Discovery 2 times to see shows in the dome and I have been thinking of becoming a member. It is an easy place to find with ample parking. Upon your arrival you will find staff that will welcome you in. The science part of this Museum should interest any young person as well as adult.

My 3 year old LOVES this place! After one visit we bought a family membership. Also a great way to keep him entertained during the winter when the park isnt an option. They have a smaller kid area that is gated and has a train table, a water table (complete with drying off station), a tree house filled with pillows, costumes, and an over stimulated area that is sectioned off in the back. The last area is also great for breastfeeding little ones as its secluded and quieter. They also have a lot of interactive music stations with instruments, which older kids and adults alike love.

Really great experiential science museum, perfect for people of all ages, but especially terrific for families. If you are familiar with the Exploratorium in San Francisco, the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery has a lot of similar exhibits, which encourage interaction. We really enjoyed the theramin and the piano hoist. Located adjacent to the terrific Fort Collins trail system, so it is easy to get there by bike. The museum also has a DC fast charger in the parking lot, so charge your EV during your visit.

Overall it was a fun experience. I have young children though 2 and 3 so it was difficult to have them avoid getting on things and touching things. Fortunately there was a play area and one of the museum exhibitions but inside exhibition there were also items were you could not get on and touch which I found pretty odd for having in a play area for children. Some cool setups and my eight-year-old enjoyed being curious.

Great for kids of all ages! I wouldve given it 5 stars if it werent for the very disappointing, dangerous inside playground. Its $4 a ticket if your not a member (which is not worth it at all) no rules posted, no workers around to enforce anything. There was a kid on the very top walking to the edge of it. Not only could he have hurt himself, he could have fallen on top of the many other children playing below. I obviously think the parents should have done something, but it couldve maybe been enforced by the facility. Seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. The rest of the museum is fantastic though. My kids really enjoyed it. Lots and lots to keep them entertained.
