Need to take your mind off current events and want to have fun while still being safe? Do you like solving clues? If so, definitely check out this escape room. Its unlike others I have been too. Its beautifully done and well thought out. It has a Rusty Lake Cube game vibe, which I absolutely love. We went with 3 people and solved all but the last clue to the treasure map. Oh, did I forget to mention, that once you solve the clues to open the final chest, you receive a treasure map to take with you to eventually solve that will lead you to a real treasure somewhere in Colorado?! So far, no one has solved the final puzzle and the treasure still awaits Somewhere Secret...

This is the most magical place in Fort Collins and the BEST escape room I’ve ever been too. Please support this incredible artist and mastermind behind Somewhere Secret. It’s perfect for everyone but especially if you’re into puzzles, alchemy and magical experiences thank you for giving us an escape room that can’t be matched.

We made Somewhere Secret a girls night and it was magical! We had so much fun and spent the next two hours talking about it over drinks. It was all of our first escape room. There were 5 of us. It was challenging and we had to work as a team. Marc, our guide, was so great and supportive for us newbies. What an amazing location and game. The store downstairs is crazy cool too! We went at night near Christmas time and it was very festive.

Beautiful, creative, unique, masterful escape room. This is one of your more traditional escape rooms, but done in the most beautiful way I have ever experienced. I love escape rooms and have done quite a few in my time. Not only were the puzzles unique and different, but also VERY thoughtful, thought-provoking, and very creative. I wont say what, but some of the puzzles were even chemistry-based, and I have never seen that done before. It was a brilliant room with a brilliant experience and game host. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back when a new game is available.

My Escape #234. This was a very special experience. Hidden deep in the back of a shop full of artistic wonders and curiosities, this escape offered to reward a real world treasure map to take home after a successful adventure, which we are working on still. This was a handmade room which excelled in creativity and charm rather than high tech. The unique timing mechanism kept me racing the whole time. All the puzzles were challenging yet fair, and there were several very clever surprises and magic moments. We went with 3 experienced players. I recommend 4 or 5. As always, dont be afraid to ask for hints, keep moving, try anything. This was a very memorable escape that fits well in a city that has some very good rooms.

Most escape rooms begin from the moment you enter and the door closes behind you. Not Somewhere Secret! It draws you in right from the moment you book with instructions leading you to a hidden spot, a rendezvous with a stranger, and a storyline that provided the perfect background for one of the most enjoyable hours Ive spent in Fort Collins. The amount of thought that has gone into crafting this is very impressive. Its very engaging and also extremely fair, with some really beautifully made puzzles. I did it with a friend and we found it difficult but doable by two people with some escape room experience, while still providing enough variety and challenge to occupy a larger group with children or more novice players.I especially loved the many magical effects; no two puzzles were alike and there were a lot of enjoyable aha! moments. We also never felt truly stuck because there was always something to look at, fiddle with or work on. Id highly recommend this to anyone interested in puzzles, logic, magic and adventure - it deserves every one of its five stars, and my only regret is that theres just the one experience available right now to play. If there was another, Id definitely sign up straight away for it!

My family and I had a great time. This room is very well thought out with lots of challenges. Fortunately my kids were much smarter than I, so we excaped with 3 minutes to spare. The room is on the 2nd floor of an old building. The owner/creater was fun to work with.

Somewhere Secret is phenomenal! It ranks Top 5 of the 40+ escape rooms Ive done across the US. I loved everything about it: the hospitality of the owner Cori, the decor and storyline of the escape room, the unique method of keeping time and giving clues, and most importantly, the amazing variety of puzzles and locks. I LOVED so many elements of the puzzles and riddles. Typically I dislike searching for things in escape rooms and focus more on the puzzles, but the way the searching was incorporated was perfect.Everything was carefully planned and beautifully executed. There was a great variety of physical puzzles, written riddles, and combinations of both. I also enjoyed the treasure map at the end of the room if you successfully finish the room. The map takes you out into the physical world outside to hunt for the treasure. Really looking forward to it!My only complaint is that the building was a little difficult to locate even with GPS, but when I called, Cori picked up the phone immediately and helped us find it.Highly recommend!

We have never participated in an escape room or anything similar. Somewhere Secret was our first experience and we had a great time. I went with my two teenage kids and husband. We ended up having the room to ourselves which added to the experience. The room draws you in from the moment the door is opened. You then start looking for clues which lead you to puzzles to solve in order to find keys or combinations to unlock things which then have another clue that leads you somewhere else. We were not successful in solving the final puzzle, but it didnt matter. We live in Greeley and we talked about the experience the entire drive back. It was a great time and I look forward to the room being reset sometime in the future so we can go experience it again.

I have been to escape rooms throughout the entire country and this one really stands out. The physical room is not insanely difficult or too easy, it is just right. If you complete the room you are given an actual treasure map that is much more difficult to complete. I am still working on the second half of this puzzle and would recommend this room to anyone! The young lady that was running it was extremely respectful and humble and deserves as much business as possible.

If I could give this place six stars I would. Without giving to much away, this really isnt your typical escape room. You have to decode muliple puzzles to lead you to something that is truly unique and allows the hunting to continue after the actual room. Absolutely fantastic escape room in a magical old setting. Our group of 8 player of all ages were totally engaged and had a wonderful time together. I loved the thought put into each puzzle - we all had a moment to shine and it really had something for everyone. All sorts of people could play and find an aspect to appeal to them. The game was so thoughtful that I really felt like stepping back in time! It seemed like every detail was considered in order to immerse you in the story - all the old wood and rusted locks were just beautiful. I have been to other escape rooms that are just in random commercial buildings and it makes the suspension of disbelief difficult and the games end up feeling corny. But somewhere secret truly transported me and I felt like I fell into National Treasure. The best escape room in Fort Collins! If you are looking for something fun to do in Fort Collins you should play Somewhere Secret for sure!

This was my second escape room. My first (one of the many Denver offerings) was fun, but geared much more toward a corporate team-building crowd. It was exciting, but never completely engaging. Somewhere Secret, on the other hand, was like walking into another world. This is not an escape room for people that want to team-build. This is an escape room for people that want to have an adventure. The puzzles were ingeniously thought out and varied--all different types of locks and riddles for different kinds of thinkers. There were several reveals throughout the experience that had our whole team giddy with the thrill of discovery. We had a full team of eight, and it felt like everybody had something to work on the whole time. We opened the chest with time to spare and only one hint, but it never felt too easy--in fact, Im still amazed at some of the things my teammates were able to figure out while I was working on something else. This room is run on a donation basis--you pay what you feel it was worth at the end of the experience. It is well worth the going rate of $25-30!

My office put together an outing at somewhere secret. Such a different thing to do, and far exceeded our expectations. This particular venue had a great set up and we all really enjoyed it. The challenges varied but were excellently planned out and was pure delight in solving them. Nothing like finding a key to an old lock to make you feel like your in another time or a great mystery movie. Friends on our group that had done other rooms said this was best in Fort Collins. The adventure continues as solving the room gives a map to buried treasure in Colorado to take with! The old building setting added to the adventure. Will definitely be doing it again as the puzzles change. Great value for money as well.

This is an escape game experience unlike any other! Everything is styled in an antique period-aesthetic, with patina covered relics and puzzles on, in, under, and around every surface. Walking in you get the sense youve stumbled into the forgotten study of some far-gone explorer or treasure hunter; and unlike most games which motivate the player with the premise of imminent doom, Somewhere Secret is storied more around the pursuit of intrigue and mystique, and clearly goes the extra mile to establish a sense of lore in the world youve entered. Whats more, solving the rooms puzzles may even hold the chance of finding real treasure! After trying many escape rooms across the country none have proven as beautifully and intriguingly designed as Somewhere Secret.

This was an incredible experience! I brought my wife, step-son and his friend to the room as a Valentines day secret surprise. We were paired up with two other people we had never met before, but the experience encouraged us to work together and to communicate. We each brought different strengths and ways of thinking to the room, and it helped us find the extra special treasure map at the end.The room was full of unique surprises, plenty of things to try to throw you off track, but if you are working together you will be able to figure out the final secret. Unique, challenging and fun!

This was a great escape room. Without giving too much away, the puzzling incorporated symbolic elements, chemistry, and more than just solving sequences of numbers to lead to the next clue. The rooms was intriguing and aesthetically appealing, and the puzzling was fun. I also like that for the truly devoted, the story continues beyond solving the room.I enjoyed the setup of the story, though I didnt see how it carried through most of the puzzles, themselves. I know it cant all tie-in, but there were places where the lore was dropped completely. I like escape rooms best when the story carries the reason for the puzzling, not just presents it.Also, Somewhere Secret is inside the Walnut Creek shop. Its not obvious as you decode the address and location that the entrance to the escape room is actually inside the sop, and upstairs. Theres no sign. The puzzling begins with finding the escape room, itself!Overall, this is a great escape room, and worth checking out if youre in Ft. Collins.

Somewhere Secret is the most thought out, complicated (in a good way) and beautiful escape room I have participated in. I can say enough about how well done the entire experience is.The hosts are wonderful and have put an amazing amount of time and thought into making this the most interactive experience youll have. The room is well put together with lots of puzzles for everyone to be involved in (6-8 people is not too many, especially if you communicate well).I would highly recommend this room to anyone - whether your new to escape rooms or are an avid addict. Were still talking about the details and twists a couple days later. I have never done an escape room before. This is top ten one of funnest things I’ve ever done with my friends. The moment you walk in the door Cori has you enthralled, you are immediately immersed in a mysterious world that doesn’t end when your hour is up. This journey she created has twist and turns leading to clues that are discovered through puzzles that utilize multiple principles of science, intuition and logic. While you attempt discover a world that has only ever manifested in front of our eyes in history books and hollywood productions, you learn to cooperate and trust in your fellow teammates to solve the intricate puzzle. At the end, all you want to do is pick her brain and hope some of her creativity rubs off on you in the process. Reserve your spot. Now.

Was a great escape room that didnt rely on technology but was compelling and immersive nonetheless. I had been in this (secret) location before not realizing that it doubled as the home of this escape room but it fits perfectly as it is the thematic extension of the locale it inhabits. The lady who created it totally fit the bill and had the persona and added to the vibe, the story was great and the riddles were top notch. We actually finished the game with only 30 seconds remaining so we were really happy to have done it. We joined 2 others and it certainly helped to have more than 2 of us.It has a very fort-collinsy vibe to it too so even if youve done other escape games this one has a unique flavor to it that is worth checking out. This place is just incredible. Its one of the most fun and fascinating experiences Ive had in my life. The puzzles are beautifully designed, and the atmosphere is perfect. Its like being inside a steampunk fantasy novel (but even that doesnt do it justice). If youve played the iPad game The Room, youll know exactly what to expect. Its like playing that game in real life, which is every bit as great as it sounds. We actually managed to finish the game, and I can definitively say that the last puzzle is as good as the first. The entire experience is a complete victory of imagination. Its worth way more than the measly $25 suggested donation. The best part is that when you solve the room, theres still one more secret to find out in the real world. We left energized and excited, and we immediately went out to try and figure out this last clue. Were still working on it, and well be driving back to Fort Collins soon to (hopefully) find the treasure. The game keeps giving you mystery and intrigue even after its over.Mystery and intrigue are hard to find these days when every bit of information is at our fingertips. Somewhere Secret puts you in a rare headspace of wonder and enchantment (sounds corny, but thats actually what it does). This place is really a work of art. If youre someone who loves being intellectually challenged and believes that the world needs surreal dreams in order to stay sane, get to Somewhere Secret as soon as you can.
