Played her on 8/28/2020. The course was in really good shape. The greens especially were smooth and had good speed to them. Pace of play was a bit slower than I was expected for 6:20 tee off, but we got done just under 4 hours. The views of the mountains are amazing and the staff there are super friendly. Cant wait to come back.
Played here Monday 8/17/2020 and the course was in great shape. I use to work here about 15 years ago and I hardly recognized any holes even though I have played the course hundreds of times. All the vegetation has matured since last time I was here and it looks really good. Some of the fairways had dead or burned spots but it was minor. The bathrooms are also superb compared to some other golf courses. Staff was very friendly although I was hoping to see at least one person who worked there when I did but I guess everyone has moved on in life. Sign up for the Donovan Daily email and you will get the special rates when they have them. I paid $48 and I thought it was well worth it to play such a nice course.
What happened to Ben, does he still run Sierra Lakes? Went to go use the driving range but everyone had to wait until 8:30am for it to open. There were about 20 people waiting because they wanted to get their practice on before the 100 degree heat. The putting range was closed also. Course looks in good shape though. We also had to hit off of mats. What happened to having both? Mats and natural grass
Great place to unwind, have a drink and socialize! Staff are friendly, and treat you like family! Great beverages along with a scenic view of the golf course. The food is pretty good as well!
Course is really nice and well maintained. The problem is that its overbooked all the time, turning a 4-hour round into a 5+ hour round. Youre always waiting on the group in front of you and there is always a group behind you waiting. When we went a couple of weeks ago there were 3 groups on the 1st tee lined up waiting to go. I wouldnt recommend this course unless you enjoy waiting around for hours.
Really well kept course, absolutely pristine conditions. The fairways are wide and forgiving as well. I really like this course.
My son takes golf lessons here . Coach Greg is amazing with children. He makes the lessons fun Interactive and hes wonderful with the kids. He has a lot of patience and my son absolutely adores him. I highly recommend this place and if youre thinking about getting your children in a class this is the place to go. I highly recommend.

Im not a golfer so I cant tell you much about the course, besides the greens looking nice. But I can tell you about the buffet, came here for Mothers Day with my wife and had a great time. Great food, large variety of dishes to choose from, very reasonable pricing, and exceptional service. Even if golf is in your thing, I would definitely try them for brunch.
6 hours to play round. Absolutely overbooked.Nice maintained but thats ridiculous.
My husband and I golf and use the driving range often since we live close by. In addition, weve planned a few golf tournaments and organized catered meetings here as well. The golf course and facilities are well maintained and beautiful. So when our daughter got engaged and we started looking at wedding venues, Sierra Lakes was a natural choice. My husband and I stopped by without an appointment and the manager was very accommodating; we loved the facilities and she gave us a pricing/informational package. We looked at a number of other venues as well, but Sierra Lakes was one of our top three. We were really leaning towards this venue due to the convenience to our home. However, when I visited with our daughter to get her input and finalize from the top three, we met with another young lady and ended up leaving Sierra Lakes very disillusioned. The young lady gave us a tour, answered questions, and took us back to the office to finalize catering pricing based on our guest list and look at the contract. When we were talking about detailed pricing for specific items, the lady began to heavily push a floral designer and lighting specialist on us; we felt very uncomfortable and she later told us that the floral business is her own and the lighting company are good friends of hers. We were feeling disappointed and confused, so we decided to gracefully exit the meeting by thanking the lady for her time and telling her we were considering other venues. Then she strongly suggested another venue (Padua Hills) to consider. We left the venue with a really bad opinion of the Sierra Lakes representative, who could have potentially be handling our daughters wedding!! Bottom line--They missed out on the opportunity to host a beautiful and memorable wedding event...And most likely future civic and private golfing/catering opportunities from our familys affiliations. We havent been back since!!
My unpleasant experience playing at this course started right from the first tee. The group in front of us had six players when the course limit was four. The starter was right next to the first Tee, but said nothing. The pro shop staff were indifferent to our complaint. We had to skip the first hole after waited close to 10 minutes and the group still not finished teeing off. Totally not worth the money.

Overall course was great tee to green. Fairways nice and wide most holes. Green held all my approach shots, putted true, and a tad on slower side, thanks to rain few days earlier. The bad pace of play and fivesomes being let out on a busy day was a big negative. Will try to play again and hopefully have a better experience with pace-of-play so I can give a higher rating.

For 85 dollars this course is getting ugly. They are starting to paint the fairways. Usually my go to 18 but it’s easily starting to get away from the groundskeepers.
The price was too high for a 6 hour round and punched greens.

Yeah have yet to actually use the course because I am horrible at golf. I have used the driving range though. The driving range is nice not amazing but not horrible either. Not like it matters I can still barely get the ball in the air or more than 30 feet. They also have a little putting green area which is nice. I’m a little better at that, but just a little.

Attended a wedding here. Very beautiful place. Outdoor Scenery is great for pictures. Venue is a little small. And the food served could definitely use more work and flavor. I hope they didnt charge the bride and groom too much per plate for mediocre food.

Food was pretty good and the servers were helpful and polite. It was very cold.
My steak was more rare (still bloody but warm) and my partners was more medium rare (pink through) but both were fantastic. The sides were delightful too!The server offered us a complementary dessert due to the wait. We got the creme brulee which was SO GOOD.
Pleasant scenery, good selection of food, live jazz music. Great Sunday brunch w/Bottomless champagne. Ambiance is nice n casual. Reservation required, enjoy!
My home away from home.. The Staff is amazing the instruction is second to none (Thanks Ben) and the course is a very fair test. I have played the best of the best and Sierra Lakes takes a back seat to none of them..

Visited the golf range along with my son. We both enjoyed the beautifully maintained landscaping and hitting some balls. Good price of $11/mid size bucket of golf balls.
The DJ was awful, playing the colombian anthem, sticking with old traditional colombian music. He only played three Salsa songs, give me a break! There are so many groups from Colombia that play Salsa. He could of have the place rocking. There were diversity of people from latin american thinking Salsa and merengue was going to be played.

Regarding the Sunday brunch - I didnt care for the the multiple food stations in different areas/rooms. The food was good.

My first time visiting this course. The staff was helpful. Weather was nice, and the course is well keep. The pro shop has everything you would need.

Nice course very wide open. They punched the greens couple days earlier. Should have given discounts for how the greens were. Not worth $85 possibly $50 for the day. Would have givin 5 stars if it wasnt for the greens.
Great course and great customer service.
The greens where punched and the staff lied about it, not good! We saw the cart girl only 2 times. We waited for drinks at the bar for 20 minutes poor service! The course layout is good. The hotdogs are huge 2 buns needed, tasty and cool.

Great golf course, well maintained. Beautiful scenery as well. But we played on a weekday afternoon, there was a group of four playing really really slow. Several groups had abandoned played due to the delay. We had to wait at every tee! All this time, no Marshall came. We don’t get your moneys worth playing here.

We have enjoyed their Excellent food and service since 2000. Moved to Lake Arrowhead in 2015. We still come Back and always welcomed as if we never left.Lunch is a must when doing errands.
