I went to this Theatre for a Tony Award winning play called The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. It was remarkably true to its original showing on Broadway. All of the actors are volunteers and so, they are highly enthusiastic about their art. I was not expecting too much from a small theater company, but I was blown away by their professionalism and ability. I hope they will continue to be a fantastic theater company, and infuse Folsom with their art.
Great community theater, definitely talented! Less expensive (by far!) than traveling Broadway and the other local community theaters in Sac that I am familiar with. Occassionally original shows (like Strait Camp, about the funniest Ive ever seen). Just saw an off-Broadway Harry Potter spoof, going to Evil Dead Musical in October. Have seen Harvey and I think theyre doing an Agatha Christie this summer. Also have family/kids shows and camps. Trust me, drive to Folsom.
We didnt expect much from such a small theatre, but Sutter Street Theatres production of Little Shop of Horrors was great—and not just great for a local community theatre, but actually great! Ive paid a lot more for a much worse experience. Well be back for sure!
Love the productions! A hometown feel, and always a lot of laughter.
I just moved to Folsom. I came out to see the little Shop of Horrors. The quality of the performance was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely return!
My family and I have been to many of these wonderful plays, and the are always truly magnificent!
Excellent in every possible way, very kind and friendly
13 was a great show and the cast was very good. Very nice theater.
We saw Anne of Green Gables here. Very cute theater and super rustic. Will only hold about 60 people and the cast is small but I love the intimate feeling. The talent was great and they are very supportive of local businesses and let you bring Snooks treats into the theater to eat while watching the show.
Fun play house, I love watching my children perform here
Ok, local theatre is fantastic. Go, go & support Sutter Street Theater an integral part of old Folsom. We love their plays ️ & remember to give on Big Day of Giving to quality local entertainment.
This place is incredible. They make excellent use of every square inch of space for the show and ALL of the performers are totally awesome!!! You show definitely check out a show there sometime.
Oh, they know how to show you fun to watch
Absolutely awesome community theater! My family and I have enjoyed many shows here. Seating is limited because of the small theater, but that only adds to the charm and experience. Great dramas, family and holiday shows. Its a must visit if you go to Old Folsom.
I only visited Sutter theatre once not realizing I had paid $18 to watch children perform. The theatre is so cute but for watching children perform, $18 was way overpriced.
First time I was there and it was fabulous!!
Lovely little theatre! Good show too
You MUST go see Guys and Dolls! It is SUCH FUN!Great voices, high energy and enthusiasm............you come away high!Amazing that many people can be on stage without trampling one another. But they manage.....no collisions just a fantastic romp!Fun..........FUN..........F U N !---------------------------I have two or three favorites Ive seen over the years but, truth be told, Ive never been disappointed by any of the shows Ive seen at Sutter Street.
Saw the Evil Dead Musical and it was fantastic! Make sure you sit in the spray zone.
Kids summer theater camp is fantastic.
Small, historic, local theater that attracts fantastic talent! It may be off-off-off Broadway, but its a great opportunity to see some future stars!
This was an awesome theatre, unique in its size. I utterly enjoyed In the Heights here.
It was a really small place which gave it a special feel. Additional, the acting and performance was really good. Also in a good location with restaurants and bars right out side which can help make for a good evening or afternoon.
A wonderful community theater that is very kid friendly.
Excellent intimate small theater experience. Ive been 4 - 6 times and cant wait to go back.
Such a fun little theatre. Family matinee show today was great.
Great place. Tiny, tiny theater full of creativity. Fun community theater.
Great hosts and performances. Well worth it!
Great small local theater. Seats are not too well tiered for good sight lines.
Cute small venue. The show we saw was very good.
Super love watching here!
I love the plays here, its a lively intimate playhouse. Half of an act may happen in your lap. If you sit in the front row, the actors are practically tripping over your feet.
Outstanding play but no a.c.. it was tough. Felt sorry for the actors.
The actors are really good and the experience is immersive, though I wish I sat closer to the stage because peoples heads were in the way
Loved the play
Amazing. I went to see in the heights.
I love going to volunteer every weekend at Sutter Street Theatre.
AMAZING ACTORS with great and nice people
It is really good
Fun show, quite original.
Nice experience, friendly staff and good shows.
Perfect little theatre. Quality performances.
The best community theatre around!
Fabulous theater and fun for all ages.
Great little non profit theater. All actors are volunteer
Cozy place with great casts and enjoyable shows!
Great theater for a date or for the family.
Such a great theatre! Just like family!

They aint talented, nor professional, but they are a lot of fun. I laughed. Sometimes with them. Sometimes at them.

Great Shows, parking can be a pain, but worth the entertainment
