To me this is a tough course around Florence. Ball below your feet, above your feet, up hill, down hill... and that is when you are in the fairway. I shoot 94-97 here and 86-88 at Fox Creek, Hartsville Country Club, Trace, Country Club of Florence. Always 8-10 shots higher here. It will make you concentrate for sure.

A good getaway whether you play golf or not. I enjoyed it greatly.

Wanted to get in a Sunday afternoon round. Asked if we could start on the back, was told to start on the front 9. I mentioned I was playing along and the person said to still play the front, even though he had just sent out 4 other groups of 3+ to the front within the last 15 minutes.9 holes took 3 hours to play. There is no course Marshall to ensure pace of play. Group of 4 in front of me refused to let me play through the entire time but let a group of 3 girls play through. One person was even playing in a tee shirt and barefoot on the course.There are no course standards here. I will be playing Traces from here on out.

Staff was very rude, cursed at me for drive on the fairway, without telling me first hand about car path only rule. Posting it next to the first tee box, like most other golf courses, would be helpful.

Course in pretty good shape. Young lady working is new BUT, very nice and willing to help.She represented the course very well. Guys out on course thanked us for playing and asked if we needed anything. Great experience,and will be back again next week.

Great and friendly staff. Owners are good to their customers. Course is improving over the past year. Putting effort into hiring knowledgeable staff, golf instructors, and golf course maintenance staff. Best value in the area.

The course has come a long way. It is in great shape. The owners and employees are kind and friendly...they work very hard to give you the best course to play on. ... if you havent tried it lately do yourself a favor and play it. You wont regret it. Its the best course around.

Club house needs work. They are in process of redoing it. The range could also be a little better. Staff is very friendly. The course so far for 2018 has been quite good. Sandtraps needs real sand..but greens are in good shape.

Name has been changed to Shadow Creek . A lot of work has been done since the last time Ive played here. They still have some work to do, but Im encouraged how the course is improving. Much better greens and bunkers. The staff was very down to earth and very helpful. They treated our tournament with class and respect.

Greens are back in great shape. Played New Years day. Bunkers are all mini lakes.

Awesome course with fast greens

Played the course yesterday - the new ownership has put in a lot of hard work and it shows. Most of the greens are looking really good and much better than last time I played there a couple years ago. They are continuing to make improvements, so go out and support these guys.

Best course around for the price. Truest rolling greens Ive seen in some time.

Couse has really improved since my last visit, a few years ago. Especially the greens. The clubhouse, bathrooms, etc., are not very nice at all.

The golf course is really getting a lot better, Im impressed !

Last time I went here was because Fox Creek was down due to green renovations. The fairways looked like my back yard, and the greens were so badly cross cut that you could put the lines on them for a straight in shot. The club house could not even sell beer due to losing that privilege. We were not told of these conditions before we payed, wasted day and money.
