Ordered their takeout twice; The Greater Tater, an absolute must have if you go there and their smoked wings are delicious too!!!

Our server Tyler was excellent, the atmosphere was fantastic and the decor was so charming and inviting but still felt upscale. The food...good lord, the food was amazing. Best Brussel sprouts Ive ever had, the burgers were insanely good and almost too big to eat...almost, im no quitter. The pulled pork was juicy and delicious one the loaded fries which is big enough to be its own meal. The brisket sandwich was to die for as well. Please go, do yourself the favor of checking the place out. They also have really impressive signature cocktails.

Stopped for a mid-afternoon lunch with family from out of town, first time there. Very helpful, friendly and personable staff, particularly our waitstaff. Awesome mac and cheese appetizer on the patio while we were waiting for some of our party---quite nice -sized and properly gooey. For entries we had, variously, an excellent salmon, absurdly huge and loaded baked potatoes and the dinner-sized mac and cheese (available with various meats. ) Just a great experience all around. We will certainly be ready to go back when we are in town.

First time at this place and I chose “The Sicilian” sandwich, for lunch. Fantastic! Comes with a hearty serving of fries. They just added their pizza bar, but I haven’t tried it yet. I recommend this place, but parking can be a challenge!

Great staff, great venue and great food. I highly recommend their wings with either the cherry bbq or blackberry bbq sauces. Theyre both original to Blackstones and the best by far out of the sauces. If vegetarian or vegan get the fried cauliflower and ask for the sauces to dip them in. The glazed brussel sprouts are my personal favorite side.

Their chowder is amazing. Today I tried the buffalo chicken pizza and it was amazing. Perfect amount of seasoning without any being over powering. The atmosphere is very nice. Portions are large and prices are affordable.

Nice atmosphere, good specialty drinks. The spinach artichoke dip was amazing. The ribs could have been better, as they were a bit dry and tough. I prefer tender, fall off the bone ribs. I had to work at these to get the meat off and seemed more bone and cartilage than meat. Was with a group and they said the sausage melt sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich was good. Waitress was very pleasant. A bit pricy, but a nice place to have an outing at. Unexpectedly upscale for the location.

When my friend told me she was coming in from Chicago I knew exactly where to take her for dinner! Ive always been in love with their spicy cauliflower, but adding the pizza oven completely changed the game. The oven is really cool, you can watch your chef makes a nice, chewy, crispy, fresh pizza as a fun form of entertainment over dinner. Nothing better than dinner with a show!Service: our waitress was on top of the game and kept our drinks full, as well as keeping dirty plates out of the way. She was friendly, and very professional.Food: This particular time the cauliflower was undercooked and very hard. We were a little sad but they warmed up well, so no hard feelings. The breadsticks had a really great dough, and bake, but the flavor was definitely lacking. The pizza however was INCREDIBLE. We couldnt stop raving about it.Atmosphere: The bar was lit up decently well making it easy for is to take pictures and exchange gifts.Mangement: Our pizza was burnt, but not sent to our table (not a big deal, theyre still getting used to the new oven). Our waitress immediately let us know about the mistake and the manager let us know he took a percentage off the bill, which was incredibly generous in my option.

Good place to bring friends that have never been in downtown Flint. It has a nice outside patio.And another cool feature it has allowed artist to paint a mural (Flint Public Art Project’s Mural) in the back wall of the bar. Very cool.

We came here to get a take out. First time every eating here and we wanted to try the barbecue. The brisket quesadilla was amazing! Ribs were awesome, as well as the loaded baked potato salad and the beans. But the cornbread is TO DIE FOR!! Will definitely return. The staff is very friendly and the menu has a great variety of options.

The wait staff was very pleasant. They have appetizers that are not the standard fare and that makes it a little more fun. I had the beef brisket and it was excellent. The prices are extremely reasonable for what youre getting.

Celebrated my daughters 21st birthday there weds night. I am.very critical of my food and restaurants. The wings and pretty much all the food was spot on. Jerrid and his staff were awesome. Highly recommend.

I went on Saturday the 15th of February and Ive never been to the establishment before so I called to see if they had a kids menu, the lady on the phone was very nice and explained all the kids entree, I was very excited and told the woman we were on our way! Upon arrival they present us with a valentines menu which it wasnt valentines day. The menu was $25 per person and that was the only option. So we sat down and the young man explained that they could only provide cheese sticks as one option and fried chicken as the other for kids tonight, I replied that I just called and spoke with someone about coming in with my daughter. He still stated cheese sticks or chicken. Im like I cant feed my kid fried cheese or fried chick. Im just appalled at how our family was treated. I own my own business and we would never ever treat our customers like this. We went to black Rock. This place had two couples in there eating and we felt so uncomfortable like shame on us for bringing our child and this is how we pay u back. Its a shame because my child is probably the best in the county for behavior and manners. Thanks so much for the hospitality

Went here today for the first time and I loved it. Lunch was delicious, vibe was excellent, great service and its right downtown so walking distance from tons of places. I will be back for sure!

A spacious pub conveniently located in the downtown Flint area. I ordered the Santa Fe gourmet burger, it was delicious, well presented, and hearty. The highlight of my visit had to be their cornbread, Ive never tasted such a sweet and light version. It reminded me of angel food cake. I couldnt get enough! Service was alright. The server wasnt the most attentive nor was he efficient, although he was polite. Overall a positive dining episode, would go again for the beer choices on tap. Which are nice

They were not very friendly. I was there for valentines day dinner and it was limited cuisine choices but everything was off the menu? They would not let us sit one table away from another party, they wanted us right next to them. I would like a little privacy on my date the place is dead.

I had a great meal with my family

First time here since the change in owners and it was an awesome experience! The food was excellent and had a good variety of your typical smokehouse and barbecue dishes. The smoky flavor though was just incredible! They also had a lot of choices on their drink menu, which was nice. I like the atmosphere in there as well. And to top it all off, the wait staff was prompt and super friendly! Will definitely be back!

We heard about the change in menu and wanted to see for ourselves how the new barbecue focused menu was. We ordered the hog wings as a starter, and were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed them. The sides were good as well, and they were handing out a small sample of their competition chicken. This was rather good as well, moist and flavorful. We will be back again as we did enjoy the food very much.

I visited Blackstones during Back to the Bricks for the first time after the new owners took over. I really like the change in the menu. Their barbecue and smoke items are delicious. They were very busy but we were lucky enough to get two bar stools when we walked in the door. The bartenders were really great and friendly. I recommend visiting blackstones for a Yummy meal and ice cold beverages.

Our waitress, Lisa, was wonderful. It was a semi-busy night and she had tables across the restaurant from each other. Despite this, we received prompt service upon our request for butter, ketchup and the like.Food came out quickly and hot and they have a decent beer selection.However, the food was a mixed bag; the beer cheese and pretzels were amazing and my pasta con pollo was absolutely delicious, but the mac and cheese was somewhat bland.

Second visit, ever. Probably wont be back. Appetizers were good. Some of the entrees tasted okay at first, but no one in our party finished their meal. Mine became bland and the soup was horrible. Service started out adequate, but then dropped off to subpar. Disappointing. (The first time I was there, it was delicious and service was great.)

Thought about rating them a 1 after last nights experience. Weve been there often through the years since theyve opened. So based on past experiences, Im putting this rating at a 2 for now and maybe will give them another chance. Waitstaff had always been hit-or-miss, but more often good enough and friendly. Food has always been acceptable but not out of this world. Last night was a low however. That experience leads me to believe they need the Bar Rescue TV series at the establishment - ASAP. Hardly any diners; maybe 4-6 at the bar. One gentlemen came in and sat at the bar for over 5 minutes without being paid any attention. I could tell by his looking back and forth constantly that he was wondering if he was going to be served; or at least asked if he wanted anything. During that time we witnessed anywhere from zero to 5 staff behind the bar (really - 5? with no crowd? and still giving poor service?). At one time, 4 of those 5 were gone (where I dont know), and the remaining staffer behind the bar was too busy wiping down kegs or something with her back turned to the crowd. So still this new patron wasnt being attended to. Doesnt this place want to take in money from paying customers? Then I overheard one of the staffers behind the bar throwing out as many expletives as he could in the course of one or two sentences. This was as he spoke with the other staffers gathered there with him at that end of the bar (next to other customers). I believe even some of those in his conversation group also worked there based on their attire. If so, they must have been off their shift since one or two were drinking as well (hey; at least they got served). It was a Tuesday night so maybe they dont care since the crowd was light. On the other hand, we went over to Soggy Bottom and had trouble finding parking since they were so busy. So maybe Tuesday is not the problem......

Bartender, Matt, made a really good martini with a gin new to me, Pioneer. Good pour and not too costly. Food service was excellent. Salad was fresh and blue cheese dressing is the best I have had in a restaurant. Chicken on salad was dry. Wish I had the waitress name for a shout out.

Horrible experience!!! So disappointed. Hostess ignored us regardless of two approaches for seating request: finally sat at bar and the Bartender took 10 minutes to acknowledge us after looking at us several times. Waited 15 minutes after receiving drinks and he never came back for empty glass refill or food order. Were not busy. Several open tables. Never going back. Don’t waste your time!!!!

Had a lovely Saturday lunch at Blackstones today. We were warmly greeted by staff and enjoyed our meal, including desert and coffee. Happy to recommend, great food and a fair price. Good customer service is the icing on the cake. We will be back!

Huge changes from when it first opened as an upscale restaurant. Yet the potential is awesome with its 2 sided menu, cash bar, ambience, & open dining. Food is good especially the blackstone salad.

The wait isnt that long, the food is great, and the workers there are awesome. The atmosphere was relaxed,calm and not chaotic. Their white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake is awesome, you should try it.

Salmon was raw/mushy. Brussel sprouts were raw/crunchy. Waitress 2nd. Day she was the only thing good. I can get French fries anywhere !

I love eating at Blackstones. They have a diverse menu (including vegetarian options) and great seating and service, especially for groups. The only turn off is a lack of parking, but that comes with its beautiful downtown Flint location.

The service and the taste of food could be greatly improved for the prices they charge. Ive honestly NEVER had a good experience at Blackstones and have been here about 10 times.

Went for Valentines day. Had a reservation. No waiting. I had ground beef nachos they were not good to me the meat was too salty and I really didnt enjoy it. My wife and kid enjoyed there food respectively. The first time I came here there first year opened I didnt care for the food either. Will the third Time be a charm?

Horrible service. We waited an hour for drinks and appetizers with 3 tables in the entire restaurant. Food was cold and sub-par. I would not recommend this restaurant. We will not be returning.

My husband and I had dinner at Blackstones last night and it was fabulous. We had one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had and Todd’s famous sea salt wings. The pizza was cooked in their new pizza oven and was perfection. From the crust to toppings, it was super fresh and so delicious. Chicken wings were juicy and full of flavor. We highly recommend Blackstones, not only for the delicious food, but also great brews too. Just great

Its not the same since new management but the food is still high quality. Ordered chicken tenders. Four large pieces, fries, cole slaw, a side salad for $10.
