My husband and I lease the hunting rights on two of our farms, using Base Camp Leasing. The 1st farm, the hunting lease started 3 years ago. We are very happy with the 3 younger hunters Base Camp lined up! We enjoy the added security of the large Liability insurance protection provided by Base Camp. This is the first year on the second farm, but we are 200% happier so far than when we used to let a neighbor hunt that land in the past. The written contract just helps everyone understand agreements and remain on good terms. We recommend using Base Camp for land you do not need for your personal hunting needs!

So easy to do. Base Camp Leasing did the advertising and found some very nice hunters for us. They sent us a check, we did not have to do anything. Really like the hunters they found for us, they are so nice and thoughtful! We had a lot of trouble with hunters in the past. These hunters are so much nicer!

Base camp was very professional and I got a great group of hunters who treat my land as if it was their own (very well). They have had great success so far with their initial archery hunt including harvesting two deer, and seeing several more that they hope to get a shot at still.

Was able to post our family’s property very easily and got a great tenant. Brian was very professional and great to work with in marketing, describing the land, finding a market price, and making the deal.

Basecamp made the experience flawless. The hunters are respectful and courteous and weve even become friends. Their rental payments contribute to the financial wellbeing of the property. Thanks to the agent who helped me get this done.

Everyone has been super cautious about keeping our land private and texting when they are coming and going. No littering. Couldn’t be happier.

Base Camp pretends to support agreements made between you and the landowners, I can tell you that’s far from the truth. I leased with Base Camp 2018 season and had them put in contract that landowners could not hunt and we would get a electric temporary pole at camp! Base Camp and Landowner agreed but nothing happened, I followed up and made several request with both parties and only received lies! They will promise the world until they receive a check and then your on your own!

Had a lease for several years with them no issues. Decided to get another property. Checked cameras and got family members all over the woods in prime hunting times. Contacted basecamp. They had the lease agent reach out me. He said he’d get with landowner. Well I had to reach out to agent several times. Agent kept saying he couldn’t get with owner. My feelings are. Once they cash your check they could care less. Sorry for the next guy that leases this property. Very disappointed in basecamp.

Once the check clears and they have your money, your golden. Dont worry about all the rules they have, its just PR for the landowners as the landowners are the the bread and butter for this outfit. The maximum number of hunters means nothing, if you need a few more guys to offset the high price go for it they wont have a clue. They claim they will patrol it, they wont set foot on the place or even drive by it once they take the pics and put up signs. Dont worry about any game violations as well, even after being told about violations it doesnt matter as long as your check clears. They mark up the leases 25% so, if you want to cut these clowns out just deal directly with the landowner, get a platt book or use the county GIS system on-line to look them up.

Paid top Dollar for a lease we cant even manage. Coyotes everywhere and landowner wont let us harvest any. I was told a state biologist said it wouldnt be a good idea. If he was spending his hard earned money and wasnt seeing deer because of them Im sure he wouldnt say that. Extremely disappointed!!!! Wont go this route again I dont have extra money to throw around.

Leased with BCL for our first time last fall 2016. We leased a 180ac parcel out of Parke Co. IN We were told that all deals are based on year to year and that we cannot sign up for a 5yr lease, but not to worry because the landowner isnt going anywhere. Well, here we are in the spring of 2017 and showed up to start our new food plots only to find out the owner told us he isnt resigning with basecamp, hes already given access to his neighbor for next fall......Called BCL and they said well he gave his 60 day notice, so sorry its his land, he can do what he wantsWe spend thousands of dollars on seeds and foodplots and countless hours cutting paths and trails and clearing space for camp. Only to be told its no longer ours next season..... WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. ONCE THE AGENT GOT HIS COMMISSION, GOODLUCK CONTACTING THEM AGAIN!

Leased land in Richmond, Indiana for the 2016-2017 hunting season with an end date of 8/17/17. I went to the property to remove my ground blind and chairs as I did not plan on renewing the lease. The $200 ground blind had been vandalized with deep cuts in the material and most of the poles broken. It had been tossed from its spot, which was out of the way of any harvesting or planting, like garbage. The $100 chairs I left inside of it were no where to be found so I assume they were taken. I emailed the landowner and told him what happened only to receive a thank you in response. Thats it. Will never lease another property again.
