The property is owned by the Fayetteville womens club and there an informational plaque in front of it, but I dont know if or when they do any sort of tours, interesting to look at though, especially considering the house was built in 1797

Went to a Christmas bazaar there. A beautiful house to display the Christmas items for sale. Their prices are top notch at this sale, meaning that they are low and I do real well there.

Architecture is impressive. Volunteer who opened door to us was explaining they are preparing for a fundraiser. Perhaps if they had a curator and offered tours money would be plentiful and house would not need to be sold.

DO NOT PLAN YOUR WEDDING HERE. The grounds are absolutely fabulous but the staff that runs this place is the absolute worst. Starting with the contract. The person running this facility NEVER contacted the two people that signed the contract when there were issues. She notified her friends that she was having issues in getting the keys to the venue to the CONTRACTED individuals for the rehersal. The contract stated that the chairs and tables were to be set up. They were not. Additional laborers were hired last minute to assist with setting up of chairs and tables. There was no running water in the rooms designated for Dressing for the Bride and Groom. Half way through the reception she and her staff started telling folks to leave it was over. The staff dismissed the additional laborers that were hired by the Bride & Groom. She cussed my son and his new wife at the end of the wedding receptions....dropping the F bomb and claiming that this was the worst wedding ever. I would NEVER have thought the staff would be so disrespectful.

Beautifully maintained, at least from the outside. Doesn’t appear that there are any tours, sadly.

Historic property, now owned and maintained by the Womens Club of Fayetteville. In addition to the late 18th century residence, next to it is the architecturally unique oval ballroom. The complex, which also includes other out-buildings, lawn, gardens and parling lots, can be rented for weddings or special events. The house is open to the public annually as part of the Holiday House Tour.
