Great location and nice facility. My only gripe its that they dont take credit cards. $6 per adult after 6pm is a good price, but that adds up quickly as far as pocket cash goes. Its not like its $1 per ticket.

Farmington  civic theater is one of the best places to watch a movie. The theater has a historic feel to it. Thanks to the owners who work hard to keep it that way. The movies which get screened  there are also mostly good movies. Worth a visit if you like charming old places.

Nice, updated historic movie theater in Downtown Farmington. Movies are shown just prior to going to DVD (or to streaming service), but that is just fine. The cost is much less than other theaters and it is next to a Farmington Brewing Company! Whats not to like?

Theyve redone the seating. Very comfortable. But the floor was pretty slippery for me to get out of my seat. That said, their movie selection is great and prices are more reasonable. I love their popcorn too.

Love this place. 5 bucks for a movie. the movies are usually older in the theaters and just about ready to be released digitally or on DVD, but you can still enjoy them with the theater experience for only 5 bucks. make sure you bring cash cuz they do not accept cards here. the seats are not the new theater type that recline and are super comfy. this is a vintage type of theater that is a great experience. stop at basement burger bar and then the theater for a great evening.

This is definitely a hidden Gem in city of Farmington. Its an old fashioned theater very well redone. Its only $5 to get in and very well worth it. The staff is very professional the theater is always very clean it is just a very nice little theater. For goodness sakes they are so nice if you go to the counter and tell them that you can adjust a lot of salt the staff will pop popcorn without fault for you and put a cytus II bag if you think you might want to refill the how nice is that? Perfect little theater for date night or for viewing a movie alone it is also kid friendly. And walking distance from various restaurants candy shops and bakeries, and across the street from shopping :-) what else could you ask for?

BURRRR.. In the end the movie Lady Byrd was not at all what we expected! For the most part we go to support local business. I will continue to support local business. Quaint and Historic worth renting for employee special events or presentations. Not sure if wheelchair accessible! Two story tight fit!

This is a clean, historic theatre with 2 screens. The staff is helpful and friendly. Its important to know that they only accept cash, but there is a bank/atm within walking distance. The upper level (formerly a balcony) is now a separate, smaller auditorium accessible by stairs or elevator. If you need to use the elevator, ask the staff for assistance.

Overall good experience. Cash only. Ticket was only $5 and concessions cheaper than other theaters. Screen and sound were good. Seats dont have tall backs to rest the head. It was too cold inside the theater putting on a jacket was a must. No trailers so movie starts on time. No assigned seats first come first pick. Arrive early and go for a walk or cafe/restaurant nearby, theater in center downtown.

Very cheap tickets compared to the other theaters. Could use some updating, but I guess its apart of the old timers culture it was going for. Could also definalty not hold out on the butter with the popcorn. Popcorn also taste a little weird at time.. like cardboard or the bag it comes in. Just an off putting taste

Mi
Review №78

Great place to watch a second-run movie. The ticket prices are reasonable, so if you didnt really care for the movie, you are out $5. The ticket stubs can also be used for discounts at nearby establishments, so dont toss your stub away. We also love the vintage theater look as opposed to those modern, mall-like theaters in the area. The best thing is that you are not pummeled by what seems like a never-ending list of previews. The showtimes listed are the actual start times, so dont show up 5 or 10 minutes late expecting to come in the middle of previews!

Our favorite theatre for many years now. Love the improvements the new management has made with the Dolby digital projection and 7.1 sound system. Appreciate the ZERO advertisements and previews that add 30 minutes to the movie time. Very reasonable pop and popcorn for 2 deals. Plus there are a bunch of fine eateries within walking distance.

Really old but lovely cinema (movie theatre). Really cheap and a ticket costs only 5 dollars. The popcorn is the regular price, maybe even less than usual. The seats are comfortable, but not new so they are not electric. The staff is really polite and nice and will make sure that you get to your seat properly. They dont have really new movies there, but after maybe a month of any movie being out (maybe less) the movie is shown at the civic. Every year before the Oscars film academy awards the civic with the cooperation with the Farmington Library the Civic has a night where the Oscar nominated short live action and animated movies are shown. Really amazing place
