There is virtually nothing that can be said other than, WOW, visit!!! Great ambiance, unbelievably great artisans, and amazing music. That is just the beginning! Take a few days, enjoy the area, and step back!Recommend you stay at the Marriott Downtown New Bedford (if travelling). Enjoy a great dinner at the Black Whale or Cork along the coblestone road shops, view an amazing fishing fleet, and head over to beautiful Fall River to tour the Navy Ship & sub, followed by a great time at the Narrows!Enjoy!!!

So, went to an event Tony Spera: The conjuring and mysteries of the occult show. The show was not what I expected but thats on the show, not the Narrows. As for the actual venue. The sound team was kind of lost. Highs and lows and such were off. The video was off also. It seemed like they werent experienced in this type of event. The lighting was terrible. Could barely ever see the speaker when presenting. Overall it wasnt impossible to enjoy but I probably wouldnt go back.

Great little venue for music. After parking in the lot, I was directed to walk thru an alleyway with stinky dumpsters. Hint; walk around during summer months! You can BYOB and food!! GO TO THIS PLACE! This is one of the best entertainment venues in the city. Ive been going here since this place was little more than a half a floor with church pews as seats. They have awesome music and comedy shows, its byo everything, and theyre right near 2 craft breweries (troy city shares the came building and canned heat is down the street) and one of the best wing shops in the city (boneheadz live). Their ticket prices are very reasonable, and their staff (mostly volunteers) are super friendly. They support local artists and showcase their work on multiple floors in the building, including the one the venues play on. They also throw one hell of a block party every year. Give this place business so fall river can keep one of Massachusetts best cultural venues!

Coolest place to see a concert! Bring your own beverage of choice! They do not have a liquor license. Pack up a small cooler as long as it fits under your seat. Some folks even brought food and had a little picnic! We choose to dine locally at Sagres a local family-owned Portuguese restaurant (Within walking distance). Just give yourself enough time to eat and walk over. They have free parking at the venue. The attendants really do a great job getting you in and out.Make a night of it...Worth the ride to see a show!

I had the good fortune to attend a show featuring Shemeika Copeland, daughter of a great blues legend. There was an incredible mix of blues, jazz, gospel and rock and roll. The energy level was intense throughout. Her singing, coupled with great playing musicians, had the audience clapping, singing along, sometimes dancing in place, and occasionally shouting.I was also impressed with all the upgrades that have been done at the Narrows Center for the Arts since I last was there. What a great evening!

Performing Arts of multiple types. Most music entertainment starts at 8pm. You must stand outside by 6:15 pm for good general admission seats. Doors open at 7pm. Depending on the weather it could be a cold and damp wait. The stage is elevated 2 feet. Other than buying a donation table you sit in a semi-circle around the stage on mostly padded chairs. There are some bench seats. The 1st 50 people in line have the best option for front or side row seats. Some dancing is allowed to right of stage that can detour from your listening pleasure. The entire place holding 500 seats has AC and bathrooms including handicap facilities. We had a wonderful time. The sound system is good and maintained by a technician throughout the venue. The venue is BYO snacks and BYOB. Small concession stand for snacks and drinks. Youll find alot of Fall River history on the walls. Open daily for those to view art exhibits. Definately will go again.

First experience here at The Narrows. What a great place. Full clear sound (yes loud), and a great space. First time seeing Robben Ford live. Phenomenal!! Robben and these guys were truly a band - solid, fun, and apex level performances. He was generous with letting them all take some seriously amazing solos, which really made the show. Would have been great to hear more of his older stuff, however was turned on to his newer album. My takeaway was hearing Jeff McErlain - a truly soulful genius who masterfully plays through ripping Rock to beautiful and moving blues and jazz subtleties. Ill be back ASAP, and will watch for all these guys wherever and whoever they play with.

Grrrrrreat Sound system! A night club setting without the annoyance of wait staff weaving in-and-out of front row tables while you are trying to watch the band. Bring your own cooler with food and beverage of choice. I have to say one more time about how great the sound system is. I am very fussy when it comes to live sound. I own a fabulous stereo at home. It is always a sad state of affairs when my home stereo overshadows the live concert than I am attending. Their sound system is loud and crystal clear without any distortion whatsoever. I had a front row table, and did not use the high fidelity ear plugs that I had in my pocket . I live in Portland Oregon, and would not hesitate to fly out to see a band play in this venue.

The Narrows is just the best place around to see a show. They have lots of varied music for reasonable prices and its great to be in a room with just simply a bunch of music lovers. The audiences tend to be a little on the mature side. Going here is a social event. Youll end up talking with folks and making new friends. BYOB and food makes it even more fun and Ive never seen anyone who overindulged. Every city should have a Narrows!

We did have a small cooler with alternative liquids But we all still had a great time.Church pews are an interesting seating arrangement, but theres also plenty of room to dance as well.. Its small which is cool, but also stinks. Its BYOB which I didnt know and the little snack stand (and I mean little) is cash only. Parking is in an alley in Fall River. The acoustics are good.
